Said documents published on Friday that the U.S. Republican Rep.
Darrell Issa, one of the leaders of the Congressional Commission charged
with investigating how to deal with the administration of President
Barack Obama's attacks will travel to Benghazi, Libya on Sunday as part
of this investigation. The visit includes Isa visit the U.S. embassy in Tripoli and a working lunch.
These documents did not say whether Isa chairman of the Oversight
Committee and Government Reform in the House of Representatives, will
visit Benghazi, where militants killed U.S. Ambassador Christopher
Stevens and three other Americans in the September 11, 2012. It was not possible to know details of the visit, including security arrangements.
The Republicans and Democrats are waging a political battle since the attacks on Benghazi.
The parties say that the incident revealed security gaps that must be addressed.
But many Republicans accuse the Democrats' operation cover-up to
protect Obama during his candidacy for re-election, and then the former
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who is one of the top
Democratic candidates for the presidency in 2016.
Issa's office declined to comment on the matter, including a complaint
from Democrats in the Committee of the planned visit would constitute a
breach of the rules set when he became chairman of the committee in
April 2011.
Cummings said Aalga member Democratic Committee in the big message that
these rules include a requirement that all foreign visits are permitted
by the Committee include the two parties which is impossible to
implement in this case because the Democrats did not know such a visit,
but just two days before the date of commencement.
"Although ad that attacks your investigation in Benghazi, the two
parties will feature your efforts to secretly planning for an official
visit to Libya and then Tmayk excluded Democrats from participating in
an unfortunate part of a pattern of post undermines the credibility of
this investigation."
