Proverbs 1 King James Version (KJV)

Proverbs 1 King James Version (KJV)

The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel;
To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;
To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity;
To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.
A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:
To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.
10 My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.
11 If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause:
12 Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit:
13 We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil:
14 Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse:
15 My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path:
16 For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.
17 Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird.
18 And they lay wait for their own blood; they lurk privily for their own lives.
19 So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; which taketh away the life of the owners thereof.
20 Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets:
21 She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying,
22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?
23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.
24 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;
25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:
26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;
27 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.
28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:
29 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord:
30 They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.
31 Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.
32 For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.
33 But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

Militants from ISIS have overrun an Iraqi military base near Baghdad and executed 300 soldiers, according to a breaking news report from CNN.

While details of the exact location outside Baghdad are unavailable, the news comes after ISIS has been weakened by U.S. airstrikes in the north of the country. It now appears that the group has made gains in the central belt of the country and has an eye fixed on the nation's capital, which it attacked a few days ago as well.
Over the past few weeks, ISIS fighters in the north of Iraq and more recently in the west of Syria have been bombarded by U.S.-led strikes. Strikes in Syria from the U.S. Air Force, Navy and allies, plus Tomahawk missiles, disabled much of the militants' infrastructure and also hit their income-generating oil wells.
United States President Barack Obama expects the campaign in Syria and Iraq against ISIS to last up to three years. The campaign may cost as much as $10 billion.

As recently as Nov. 19, Holder, the first African-American attorney general in U.S. history, told CBS News that he didn't have "any plans" to step down.
Holder, a graduate of Columbia Law School, first joined the U.S. Justice Department in 1976. President Ronald Reagan appointed him to the Superior Court of the District of Columbia in 1988. President Bill Clinton tabbed him as Deputy Attorney General in 1997, the first African-American to hold that position. After the Clinton administration, he practiced at a private firm before joining the presidential campaign of Barack Obama.
His tenure as Attorney General has included several landmark cases and decisions on policy, as well as a fair amount of controversy. He has been a vocal critic of the U.S. Supreme Court's decision on the Voting Rights Act and Toobin's feature outlines his plan to continue advocating for voting rights in the wake of the decision. He also announced that the Justice Department would stop defending the federal Defense of Marriage Act in court, and the law was struck down by the U.S. Supreme Court last June.
Congressional Republicans have frequently criticized Holder's policies, and 20 House Republicans filed articles of impeachment in November. He was found in contempt of Congress by the House in June 2012 for failing to release requested documents related to Operation Fast and Furious.
The transcript, as provided by the Justice Department, is below.
Toobin: “And how long are you going to be the Attorney General? You mentioned ‘as long as I’m Attorney General’…” Holder: “Well, you know, I’ve still got things I want to do. I mean, I’ve got this fight, this criminal justice reform stuff that I talked about, I guess, in August at the ABA. I’ve got financial cases I’m still working on. So I’m going to be here for a while.
Toobin: “Do you want to put any more specific - this is like journalism [101]… I have to ask all these questions. If you don’t want to tell me, don’t tell me. Like, do you know? A year? Two years?”
Holder: “I guess, I think what I’ve said is, I’m going to be here certainly into 2014.”
Toobin: “That’s a big commitment. It’s in like three weeks…”
Holder: “I think I’ve said, ‘well into 2014.’”
Toobin: “I see. ‘Well into’? OK, very good.”

Hebrews 8

 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.
For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.
For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:
Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.
For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

Judge Denies DOJ Request to Delay Release of Fast and Furious Document List

Katie Pavlich
U.S. District Court Judge John D. Bates has denied a request from the Department of Justice to delay the release of a list of Operation Fast and Furious documents being protected under President Obama's assertion of executive privilege.
The list, better known as a Vaughn index, was requested through a June 2012 FOIA filing by government watchdog Judicial Watch. When DOJ didn't respond to the FOIA request in the time required by law, Judicial Watch sued in September 2012, seeking all documents DOJ and the White House are withholding from Congress under executive privilege claims. President Obama made the assertion on June 20, 2012 just moments before Attorney General Eric Holder was held in contempt. In July 2014, after two years of battling for information, Judge Bates ordered the Department of Justice to release the Vaughn Index by October 1. DOJ responded by asking for a month long delay in releasing the list with a deadline of November 3, just one day before the 2014-midterm elections. That request has been denied. A short delay was granted and DOJ must produce the Vaughn index by October 22.
"The government’s arguments for even more time are unconvincing," Bates said in his ruling. "[S]eventy-five days—plus another twenty-one, based in part on Judiciary Watch’s consent—is enough time for the government to prepare the index that this Court has ordered, given that this matter has been pending for over two years. The Court will therefore extend the Department’s Vaughn index submission deadline to October 22, 2014—and no further."
"The government argues that it must devote significant numbers of attorneys to this matter if it hopes to comply with the current Vaughn index deadline ... But the Department has known about its Vaughn index obligations since July 18, 2014 ... At best, it means the Department has been slow to react to this Court’s previous Order. At worst, it means the Department has ignored that Order until now," he added.

The House Oversight Committee is also suing for the release of the Vaughn index and earlier this month U.S. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson ordered DOJ to produce requested information to lawmakers by November 1.
In the Vaughn index, DOJ must explain why documents have been withheld from Congress and the American people under President Obama's assertion of executive privilege. The requirements for DOJ in handling the information included in the Vaughn index are as follows:
1) identify each document withheld; (2) state the statutory exemption claimed; and (3) explain how disclosure would damage the interests protected by the claimed exemption.
“The Obama administration failed to game the courts and now will have to account for its Fast and Furious lies. Two federal courts have now rejected Eric Holder’s election-related ploy to keep this information from the American people,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said in a statement in reaction to the ruling. “This is a battle that put Eric Holder in contempt of Congress, saw Nixonian assertions of executive privilege by Barack Obama, and a hapless Congress in the face of all this lawlessness. This latest court ruling shows again that Judicial Watch’s independent investigations and lawsuits are more effective than Congress and the rest of media. We are pleased we may get some accountability for Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry and hundreds of others who lost their lives as a result of Obama’s Fast and Furious program.”

Melchisedec WAS JESUS

Hebrews 6 King James Version (KJV)

Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
And this will we do, if God permit.
For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:
But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.
But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.
10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,
14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.
15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
16 For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.
17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Hebrews 7 King James Version (KJV)

For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.
And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:
But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.
And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better.
And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.
And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.
10 For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.
11 If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?
12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
13 For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar.
14 For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.
15 And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,
16 Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.
17 For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
18 For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.
20 And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest:
21 (For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)
22 By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.
23 And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:
24 But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.
28 For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.

The U.S.and Allies are Training Kurds in the Use of Sophisticated Weaponry

The U.S. military and its allies have launched an urgent effort to train Kurdish forces to use sophisticated weapons that the West is expected to supply in the coming months for a stepped up counteroffensive against the extremist group Islamic State.
For the past month, American, British and French advisers have been training fighters from the semiautonomous Kurdistan region in battlefield techniques at military bases across northern Iraq.

The conflict with Islamic State insurgents has laid bare the weaknesses of the forces known as Peshmerga, who not only lack military hardware but also have a strategic deficiency. Steeped in guerrilla warfare, the forces have little experience defending long front lines or fighting in urban environments, Kurdish officials said.
One goal of the broader U.S.-led training program is to transform the Peshmerga from an irregular force into a more organized one that can more effectively fight Islamic State, also known as ISIS or ISIL.

"Training is welcome but we need it to expand," said Sadi Ahmed Pire, politburo member of the Kurdistan Union Party. "The problem is that we have a heritage as a guerrilla force, but we need to learn how to control cities and to fight ISIS."
The narrowly tailored training program, detailed in interviews with The Wall Street Journal, is an example of how the U.S.-led alliance against Islamic State insurgents is already at work on the ground. It involves dozens of advisers from a growing number of Western allies.
It is the cornerstone of a campaign to train Kurdish forces expected to serve as the international coalition's front-line proxy force so the U.S. doesn't have to send in American ground forces to confront Islamic State fighters.
The training is taking place at several facilities close to Erbil, capital of Kurdistan, according to several senior Kurdish officials, Peshmerga commanders and Western advisers.
In at least one training program, French advisers are teaching Kurdish fighters how to effectively use heavy machine guns. American advisers are coordinating the overall effort, Western officials said.

WATCH: Powerful Congressman Rebukes Obama for His “Betrayal” of Israel

President Obama doesn’t seem to have a clue when it comes to foreign policy, and there is plenty of evidence to prove his ineptness in this crucial area of leadership.
One such example is his backing and financing of terrorist groups like Hamas that have been lobbing rockets at Israel, leading to the deaths of innocent men, women, and children.
?
Israel is one of the only allies the U.S. has in the Middle East, which is why it is imperative that the country stand by them during this time when they are attempting to eliminate the threat Hamas poses to their safety.
Rep. Trent Franks has had enough of the president heaping praise on these groups instead of backing our most important ally, and he made his feelings known during a speech on the House floor.
Franks slammed Obama for stating that Abbas was committed to “non-violence and cooperation toward Israel,” while many of its citizens are forced into bomb shelters from attacks.

via The Political Insider:
Rep. Trent Franks (R-AZ), who also serves as the Co-Chair of the Israel Allies Caucus, is not happy with President Barack Obama’s treatment of Israel. Time and again, Obama has gone against America’s long-standing tradition of standing with the only truly free and democratic nation in the Middle East, and Franks decided it was time to speak out:
“Half of all Israelis have sought cover in bomb shelters across their tiny country,” the Republican congressman said. And the Obama administration has had the reprehensible gall to praise Abbas as someone who is, quote, ‘committed to non-violence and cooperation with Israel.’”
Franks also accused the administration of a “flushed and breathless rush to embrace terrorists,” and the way they have treated Israel an “unprecedented act of cowardice and betrayal” of that country.
“I thought that nothing this president could ever say or do would surprise me anymore. But this flushed and breathless rush to embrace terrorists launching rockets at Israeli children is an unprecedented act of cowardice and betrayal.”
Awesome. Rep. Franks is absolutely right. President Obama is spitting in Israel’s face, damaging a long standing relationship with our most powerful ally in the region, and it needs to stop now.
Israel has always been a strong supporter of the U.S., and it’s time we return the favor and give them all of the support they need to continue carrying out operations to eliminate Hamas and protect the safety and well-being of their people.

OBAMAgration: The Feds won't say if the Prosecution of Illegal Border Crossers has been Scaled Back

The federal government refuses to say whether prosecutors in Yuma, Arizona, have scaled back a years-old program that guarantees jail time for most immigrants caught crossing the border illegally and which law enforcement officials say is crucial to public safety.
Reports that federal prosecutors have stopped some prosecutions under Operation Streamline surfaced nearly two weeks ago when Arizona Sens. John McCain and Jeff Flake wrote a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder seeking information on the status of the zero-tolerance program that circumvents the civil immigration system and lumps together months' worth of criminal proceedings into one day for immigrants caught crossing the border illegally.
Yuma County Sheriff Leon Wilmot said in a letter to the senators that he had been informed that federal prosecutors in Yuma are no longer going after first offenders.
But the government has been completely silent on the issue. Public affairs officials from the Department of Homeland Security, Justice Department and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection have all refused to answer questions about whether the program has been scaled back.
Brett Worsencroft, president of the Border Patrol union for Yuma Sector border agents, said the U.S. Attorney's Office has in fact ended prosecutions of first-time offenders.
"Operation Streamline is like one of the last strongholds we have as a deterrent. Our manpower is dwindling on a daily basis," Worsencroft said. "The fence can only do so much."

BREAKING: If You’re Sick of Eric Holder, Then We’ve Got Some GREAT News

Eric Holder won’t get an opportunity to be impeached by a new Republican Senate, as he’s expected to announce today that he’s stepping down from the administration.
Holder had been found in contempt of Congress for refusing provide documents related to the Fast and Furious scandal, a first for a sitting member of any president’s Cabinet.
The Attorney General consistently used his position to be an “activist” on civil rights, gun control, and other key pieces of the liberal agenda. As such, this is welcome news for conservatives.
The convenient timing of this announcement leads us to wonder if the highly unpopular AG is stepping down for political reasons so as not to be a liability for Democrats in the midterms.
Regardless, this is a welcome announcement for conservatives. We can only wait and see which social justice crusader Obama decides to replace him…

BREAKTHROUGH: Federal Judge Orders Release of “Fast and Furious” Documents

The plague of scandals besieging the White House under President Barack Obama shows no sign of letting up. His complicity in the illegal immigration crisis, his knowledge of IRS targeting of tea party and other conservative groups, and his authorization of an illegal arms-dealing program by the Secretary of State in Libya have all been credibly alleged in recent months.
Increasingly, even liberals and Democrats have begun to turn on the president over these issues, his unconstitutional power grabs that threaten the very rule of American law, and his betrayal of America’s greatest ally in the middle east, Israel.
Now, after over a year of legal wrangling, another such scandal threatens to resurface and add to calls for the impeachment of the president, Attorney General Eric Holder, or both.
A lawsuit under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) by Judicial Watch, a government watchdog group, has succeeded in forcing Holder’s Department of Justice to provide “a detailed listing of all documents that it has withheld from Congress and the American people for years,” according to a statement from Judicial Watch cited by Townhall.
Holder was held in Contempt of Congress over two years ago for his refusal to release documents to House members investigating the ill-fated “Operation Fast and Furious” that allowed guns to get into the hands of criminals in order to track and arrest members of Mexico’s drug cartels. Those same guns have been linked to an estimated 200 deaths on both sides of the border, including that of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.

Calling the judge’s order a “huge step forward,” the report lists the information that the DOJ must now provide, including a list of every document that the department is withholding under Obama’s claim of executive privilege and an explanation of both the statute allowing the withholding and the interests that would potentially be damaged if the documents were to become public knowledge.
This list is called a “Vaughn index,” and is sometimes ordered by courts in FOIA lawsuits to help mitigate the “distinct informational disadvantage” of the FOIA requester, according to the court’s ruling.
Once again, where a divided Congress has failed in its attempts ultimately to hold the president and his attorney general accountable for their statements and actions, private citizens have demanded–and are getting–an accounting from their leaders in Washington.
This is, indeed, a “huge step forward,” but it is only one such step. Further legal pressure must be brought to bear to uncover the secrets of the Obama administration. Congress must continue its many investigations into this president’s scandals. And the people must provide the ultimate accountability by voting constitutional conservatives into office this November.
Please share this article on Facebook and Twitter if you agree that it’s past time for Barack Obama and Eric Holder to share the truth about Fast and Furious with Congress and the American people.

WASHINGTON — Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. will resign his post, the Justice Department said Thursday. Mr. Holder will remain in office until a successor is nominated and confirmed.
Mr. Holder, the 82nd attorney general and the first African-American to serve in that position, had previously said he planned to leave office by the end of this year.
