Commentary

Quinnipiac: Obama Worst President Since World War II 07/02/14 Every curse of God is now resting on Obama and unfortunately the nation. He is just like ancient Pharaoh that God raised up to make his power known. It really seems that this is what the Lord is now doing with Obama. He mocked God in every way and now Obama is being mocked. He bullied Israel over its borders and now the borders of America are overrun!

He became the world evangelist for sodomy and now look at him and his presidency! I just knew that Obama was in big trouble with the Lord, and the judgment was on top of him. It is not getting better as homosexuality is now at the core of America led by Obama. It is clear that everything that Obama does and touches is cursed. We can see it with our own eyes. But, these curses are destroying the nation along with Obama and his presidency!

Will there be another as the curse of God descends on the nation?

Both Obama and America are now ripe for the full judgment from the Holy God of Israel.

Where is God’s real church in all of this? America is dissolving as a nation before our eyes while the church is “at ease in Zion!” There is NOT much time left. I can feel the judgment, as it seems hanging in the “air” all around us. Please join us in prayer every Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 9:00 PM EST. We cry out to God for America and an outpouring of His Spirit. There is little time left. It is now or never.

“President Barack Obama is the worst president since World War II, and the United States would have been better off if his Republican challenger, Mitt Romney, had won the election in 2012, a new Quinnipiac University national poll released today reveals. “Over the span of 69 years of American history and 12 presidencies, President Barack Obama finds himself with President George W. Bush at the bottom of the popularity barrel,” said Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll. “Would Mitt have been a better fit? More voters in hindsight say yes,” Malloy said. Out of 1,446 registered voters surveyed nationwide from June 24-30, 33 percent deemed Obama as the worst president, while another 28 percent picked former President George W. Bush as the worst, Quinnipiac reported Wednesday. In addition, 45 percent of the voters said the country would be better off if Romney won in 2012, and 38 percent said the country would be worse off.”

God’s Final Warning to Obama

I said earlier this month (see: Obama-Biden)  to watch the end of June. Obama was pushing homosexuality on the nation through his declaration of June being national homosexual month. He did this every June since he became president and each June was full of disasters! I knew in my spirit that June was going to end horrible for him and the nation. This is what I wrote on June 5th:

“White House declares June LGBT Pride Month 06/01/14 Obama has declared June as homosexual month since he entered office. June has seen horrific disasters which I documented on this blog. Let’s see what the US looks like at the end of this year (I meant month). Last year the West was burning up with massive fires.”

The economic report just came out and the bottom has fallen from the economy. It fell 2.9 percent in the first-quarter! This is huge and shows that the economy is now in reverse. The curse on Obama has now hit the economy full force as everything this man does is cursed. I do not see this turning around, and this is starting the slide into depression and social unrest. The nation is now $18 trillion in debt and what is going to turn this around? The end is in sight.

God will not allow America to mock His word and Holy name, which is tied to marriage between a man and woman. Since the vast majority of Christians refuse to repent and call on the Lord for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit, God is now moving to defend both His institution of marriage and His Holy name. The way He does this is by breaking the back of the nation, so it can no longer promote this sin and judge it with fire and destruction. America is now just as Sodom and faces the same judgment.

A MEMO TO THE BORDER PATROL from their union indicates the concern for widespread disease is serious.
Due to the pending arrival of UAC’s (unaccompanied children) from RGV, The National Border Patrol Council Local 1613 is suggesting the following protocols for the safety of our agents as well as the detainees.
1. All Agents should bring a second set of clothes (Including socks and shoes) to the station. Change clothes prior to going home so that you can minimize the chances of infecting any of your family or friends.
a. We will be looking into getting coveralls or some other form of outer clothing for agents.
b. We will also be looking for a way to launder your clothing so that you don’t have to take it home.
c. Place clothing in a plastic trash bag and take directly from the bag to the washing machine.
d. If possible we recommend showering at the station after each shift before going home.

2. All agents should get tested for TB in order to ensure you have a baseline.
a. We will be working with the agency to get occupational health out to provide testing.
b. In the meantime go to your personal health care provider and get TB test done.

3. Agents should refrain from touching their nose, mouth or eyes when processing.
4. All bedding and clothing should be handled with protective equipment (gloves) and placed in specifically designed containers (i.e. plastic bag) and laundered ASAP.
5. Gloves should be worn at all times and changed frequently. Hand sanitizer should be used between changing gloves.
6. Educational material will be distributed in order to assist agents with the identification of communicable diseases.

7. Cells should be disinfected regularly.
8. All detainees who are suspected or report having communicable disease will be documented and reported to a supervisor as soon as possible.
9. All detainees should be given vaccinations before being released into the communities.
10. If there are any supplies you believe you need and the service has not provided contact the local union health and safety officer and we will look into purchasing those items directly.
11. If you have any concerns please contact your local health and safety officer and we will address the issue and get back to you ASAP.

High-Ranking Mexican Drug Cartel Member Makes Explosive Allegation: ‘Fast and Furious’ Is Not What You Think It Is

A high-ranking Mexican drug cartel operative currently in U.S. custody is making startling allegations that the failed federal gun-walking operation known as “Fast and Furious” isn’t what you think it is.
It wasn’t about tracking guns, it was about supplying them — all part of an elaborate agreement between the U.S. government and Mexico’s powerful Sinaloa Cartel to take down rival cartels.
The explosive allegations are being made by Jesus Vicente Zambada-Niebla, known as the Sinaloa Cartel’s “logistics coordinator.” He was extradited to the Chicago last year to face federal drug charges.

Zambada-Niebla claims that under a “divide and conquer” strategy, the U.S. helped finance and arm the Sinaloa Cartel through Operation Fast and Furious in exchange for information that allowed the DEA, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and other federal agencies to take down rival drug cartels. The Sinaloa Cartel was allegedly permitted to traffic massive amounts of drugs across the U.S. border from 2004 to 2009 — during both Fast and Furious and Bush-era gunrunning operations — as long as the intel kept coming.
This pending court case against Zambada-Niebla is being closely monitored by some members of Congress, who expect potential legal ramifications if any of his claims are substantiated. The trial was delayed but is now scheduled to begin on Oct. 9.
Zambada-Niebla is reportedly a close associate of Sinaloa Cartel kingpin Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman and the son of Ismael “Mayo” Zambada-Garcia, both of which remain fugitives, likely because of the deal made with the DEA, federal court documents allege.
Based on the alleged agreement  ”the Sinaloa Cartel under the leadership of defendant’s father, Ismael Zambada-Niebla and ‘Chapo’ Guzman, were given carte blanche to continue to smuggle tons of illicit drugs into Chicago and the rest of the United States and were also protected by the United States government from arrest and prosecution in return for providing information against rival cartels which helped Mexican and United States authorities capture or kill thousands of rival cartel members,” states a motion for discovery filed in U.S. District Court by Zambada-Niebla’s attorney in July 2011.
A source in Congress, who spoke to TheBlaze on the condition of anonymity, said that some top congressional investigators have been keeping “one eye on the case.”  Another two members of Congress, both lead Fast and Furious Congressional investigators, told TheBlaze they had never even heard of the case.
One of the Congressmen, who also spoke to TheBlaze on the condition of anonymity because criminal proceedings are still ongoing, called the allegations “disturbing.” He said Congress will likely get involved once Zambada-Niebla’s trial has concluded if any compelling information surfaces.
“Congress won’t get involved in really any criminal case until the trial is over and the smoke has cleared,” he added. “If the allegations prove to hold any truth, there will be some serious legal ramifications.”
Earlier this month, two men in Texas were sentenced to 70 and 80 months in prison after pleading guilty to attempting to export 147 assault rifles and thousands of rounds of ammunition to Mexico’s Los Zetas cartel. Compare that to the roughly 2,000 firearms reportedly “walked” in Fast and Furious, which were used in the murders of hundreds of Mexican citizens and U.S. Border Agent Brian Terry, and some U.S. officials could potentially face jail time if they knowingly armed the Sinaloa Cartel and allowed guns to cross into Mexico.
If proven in court, such an agreement between U.S. law enforcement agencies and a Mexican cartel could potentially mar both the Bush and Obama administrations. The federal government is denying all of Zambada-Niebla’s allegations and contend that no official immunity deal was agreed upon.
To be sure, Zambada-Niebla is a member of one of the most ruthless drug gangs in all of Mexico, so there is a chance that he is saying whatever it takes to reduce his sentence, which will likely be hefty. However, Congress and the media have a duty to prove without a reasonable doubt that there is no truth in his allegations. So far, that has not been achieved.
Zambada-Niebla was reportedly responsible for coordinating all of the Sinaloa Cartel’s multi-ton drug shipments from Central and South American countries, through Mexico, and into the United States. To accomplish this, he used every tool at his disposal: Boeing 747 cargo planes, narco-submarines, container ships, speed boats, fishing vessels, buses, rail cars, tractor trailers and automobiles. But Guzman and Zambada-Niebla’s overwhelming success within the Sinaloa Cartel was largely due to the arrests and dismantling of many of their competitors and their booming businesses in the U.S. from 2004 to 2009 — around the same time ATF’s gun-walking operations were in full swing. Fast and Furious reportedly began in 2009 and continued into early 2011.
According Zambada-Niebla, that was a product of the collusion between the U.S. government and the Sinaloa Cartel.

The claims seem to fall in line with statements made last month by Guillermo Terrazas Villanueva, a spokesman for the Chihuahua state government in northern Mexico who said U.S. agencies ”don’t fight drug traffickers,” instead “they try to manage the drug trade.”
Also, U.S. officials have previously acknowledged working with the Sinaloa Cartel through another informant,  Humberto Loya-Castro. He is also allegedly a high-ranking member of the Sinaloa Cartel as well as a close confidant and lawyer of “El Chapo” Guzman.

Loya-Castro was indicted along with Chapo and Mayo in 1995 in the Southern District of California in a massive narcotics trafficking conspiracy (Case no. 95CR0973). The case was dismissed in 2008 at the request of prosecutors after Loya became an informant for the United States government and subsequently provided information for years.
In 2005, “the CS (informant Loya-Castro) signed a cooperation agreement with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of California,” states an affidavit filed in the Zambada-Niebla case by Loya-Castro’s handler, DEA agent Manuel Castanon.
“Thereafter, I began to work with the CS. Over the years, the CS’ cooperation resulted in the seizure of several significant loads of narcotics and precursor chemicals. The CS’ cooperation also resulted in other real-time intelligence that was very useful to the United States government.”
Under the alleged agreement with U.S. agencies, “the Sinaloa Cartel, through Loya-Castro, was to provide information accumulated by Mayo, Chapo, and others, against rival Mexican Drug Trafficking Organizations to the United States government,” a motion for discovery states.
In return, the United States government allegedly agreed to dismiss the charges in the pending case against Loya-Castro (which they did), not to interfere with his drug trafficking activities and those of the Sinaloa Cartel and not actively prosecute him or the Sinaloa Cartel leadership.
Taken directly from the motion filed in federal court:

“This strategy, which he calls ‘Divide & Conquer,’ using one drug organization to help against others, is exactly what the Justice Department and its various agencies have implemented in Mexico. In this case, they entered into an agreement with the leadership of the Sinaloa Cartel through, among others, Humberto Loya-Castro, to receive their help in the United States government’s efforts to destroy other cartels.”
“Indeed, United States government agents aided the leaders of the Sinaloa Cartel.”

The government has denied this and says the deal did not go past Loya-Castro.
Zambada-Niebla was arrested by Mexican soldiers in late March of 2009 after he met with DEA agents at a Mexico City hotel in a meeting arranged by Loya-Castro, though the U.S. government was not involved in his arrest. He was extradited to Chicago to face federal drug charges on Feb. 18, 2010. He is now being held in a Michigan prison after requesting to be moved from Chicago.
“Classified Materials”
During his initial court proceedings, Zambada-Niebla continually stated that he was granted full immunity by the DEA in exchange for his cooperation. The agency, however, argues that an “official” immunity deal was never established though they admit he may have acted as an informant.
Zambada-Niebla and his legal council also requested records about Operation Fast and Furious, which permitted weapons purchased in the United States to be illegally smuggled into Mexico, sometimes by paid U.S. informants and cartel leaders. Their request was denied. From the defense motion:

“It is estimated that approximately 3,000 people were killed in Mexico as a result of ‘Operation Fast and Furious,’ including law enforcement officers in the state of Sinaloa, Mexico, the headquarters of the Sinaloa cartel. The Department of Justice’s leadership apparently saw this as an ingenious way of combating drug cartel activities.”
“It has recently been disclosed that in addition to the above-referenced problems with ‘Operation Fast & Furious,’ the DOJ, DEA, and the FBI knew that some of the people who were receiving the weapons that were being allowed to be transported to Mexico, were in fact informants working for those organizations and included some of the leaders of the cartels.”

Zambada’s attorney has filed several motions for discovery to that effect in Illinois Federal District Court, which were summarily denied by the presiding judge who claimed the defendant failed to make the case that he was actually a DEA informant.
In April, 2012, a federal judge refused to dismiss charges against him.
From a Chicago Sun Times report: “According to the government, [Zambada-Niebla] conveyed his interest and willingness to cooperate with the U.S. government, but the DEA agents told him they ‘were not authorized to meet with him, much less have substantive discussions with him,’” the judge wrote.

In their official response to Zambada-Niebla’s motion for discovery, the federal government confirmed the existence of “classified materials” regarding the case but argued they “do not support the defendant’s claim that he was promised immunity or public authority for his actions.”
Experts have expressed doubts that Zambada-Niebla had an official agreement with the U.S. government, however, agree Loya Castro probably did. Either way, the defense still wants to obtain DEA reports that detail the agency’s relationship with the Sinaloa Cartel and put the agents on the stand, under oath to testify.
The documents that detail the relationship between the federal government and the Sinaloa Cartel have still not been released or subjected to review — citing matters of national security.

Apparently the “Bolinas Border Patrol” and the “Central Valley Citizens militia” are on the move toward the U.S. – Mexico border in Texas to join forces with Texas militia for an event timed with President Obama’s visit to the Lone Star State.  These militia groups intend to protest the Obama administration’s open borders policies that have created the present immigration crisis, as well as give vocal and if need be, armed support for Governor Rick Perry’s demand that the border be secured before more people are put in danger.

According to some reports, these same militia groups are declaring an invasion of America is happening now.

Let’s hope innocents on both sides of the proverbial, and literal, fence are not harmed in the coming days.

When You See What Obama is Now Giving Away Free to Illegals, Your Head May Just Explode!

Ladies and Gentlemen, I regrettably provide you with the latest  “Cloward and Piven” update.

As thousands of illegal aliens flood across the U.S. border from Mexico, an unprecedented number of them being youth without parents, Barack Obama and Eric Holder have a new gift waiting for them.

Not only is the Obama regime using taxpayer dollars to advertise free food stamps in Mexico (yes, we are paying for our own destruction), but now the regime is going to provide, through the Department of Justice led by corrupt Attorney General Eric Holder, free attorneys.

USA Today reported this new “help” to illegals:

The Department of Justice, working with the federal Corporation for National and Community Service, will announce a new program Friday that provides $2 million to entice attorneys and paralegals to represent those young, undocumented immigrants as they navigate the complicated web of immigration courts.Unlike legal residents or citizens, undocumented immigrants are not guaranteed legal assistance in court, so the task is currently done by attorneys working for non-profit organizations or working pro bono. But with the country seeing a drastic rise in the number of very young undocumented immigrants crossing the border — without their parents, usually led by a smuggler — officials say those groups can no longer handle the flood of cases.

Obama and Holder aren’t the only guilty parties throwing out the welcome mat to illegals. It’s not just Democrats, but also their Republican establishment brethren.

Potential GOP presidential candidate Jeb Bush referred to the invasion of illegals as an “act of love,” while both John Boehner and Eric Cantor are urging passage of amnesty.

Eric Holder, the first sitting attorney general in U.S. history to be held in contempt of Congress, said of the treasonous move, stating that somehow giving free attorneys to illegals would “strengthen” the justice system:

“We’re taking a historic step to strengthen our justice system and protect the rights of the most vulnerable members of society.” 

Nothing can help the justice system like more injustice, right?

I can envision a time when this free legal representative will be advertised in Mexico right along with the food stamp ads. Something like, “Enter the U.S. Illegally and We’ll Represent you for FREE!”

No vaccine: If the new strain of swine flu was released, it could kill up to a billion people

What was extraordinary about the great flu pandemic of 2018 was not only that it came exactly 100 years after the Spanish flu of 1918, but that it also killed 5 per cent of the world’s population.

In 1918, that proportion meant some 100  million people. In 2018, nearly 400 million fell victim.

Of those, some one million were in Britain. Nearly every family lost a loved one, with children and the elderly being particularly vulnerable.

The NHS was unable to cope with the sheer numbers infected, which ran to around ten million — almost a sixth of the population.

With no vaccine available, all that doctors could do was to send people home and tell them to hope for the best.

It was the worst natural disaster the world had ever seen. But the virus was no random creation of Mother Nature — it was man-made, produced by an obscure professor at a university deep in the heart of the U.S.

This may sound like a science-fiction scenario that would strain credulity but, terrifyingly, it is all too possible.

Professor Yoshihiro Kawaoka of the University of Wisconsin-Madison has created a deadly new strain of the 2009 swine flu virus — for which there is no known vaccine.

If the virus escaped from Professor Kawaoka’s laboratory it could kill hundreds of millions — perhaps even a billion. Worryingly, scientists seem as alarmed as the general public.

Professor Kawaoka revealed what he had done at a secret meeting held earlier this year, and his fellow virologists appear to have reacted with despair.

‘He’s basically got a known pandemic strain that is now resistant to vaccination,’ said one scientist who did not wish to be named. ‘Everything he did before was dangerous, but this is even madder.’

Only last month Kawaoka revealed in a scientific paper that he had also synthesised a bird flu virus — called ‘1918-like Avian’.

He had created, through a process called ‘reverse genetics’, a flu virus extremely similar to that which caused the 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic.

Kawaoka and his team declared that they had made the virus to assess whether variants of the 1918 flu were as deadly to humans as the original virus.

After testing it on ferrets, the team found that what they had created, in the dry words of academia, ‘may have pandemic potential’.

An earlier experiment looked at making another lethal bird flu strain easier to catch.

The idea that scientists blithely create deadly flu viruses, essentially to see how deadly they are, caused outrage in the scientific community and the world at large.

‘The work they are doing is absolutely crazy,’ said Professor Lord May of Oxford, a former president of the Royal  Society.  ‘The whole thing is exceedingly dangerous.’

Marc Lipsitch, Professor of  Epidemiology at the Harvard School of Public Health, said: ‘I am worried that this signals a growing trend to make “transmissible” novel viruses willy-nilly. This is a risky activity, even in the safest labs.

‘Scientists should not take such risks without strong evidence that the work could save lives, which this paper does not provide.’

Other scientists used stronger language.

‘If society understood what was going on,’ thundered Professor Simon Wain-Hobson, of the Virology Department at the Pasteur Institute in Paris, ‘they would say “What the  F are you doing?” ’

It’s a good question. Professor Kawaoka did try to justify his research last month.

He explained that wild birds continue to harbour many variants of the influenza A virus — the strain of virus that can be transmitted from birds, including domestic poultry, through to humans.

One of the subtypes of influenza A is called H5N1 — a name familiar to many.

Not only was a form of H5N1 behind the 1918 outbreak, but its variants have started to emerge over the past ten years, and are now collectively known as ‘bird flu’.

Compared to the outbreak in 1918, H5N1 has so far been relatively merciful. To date, only some 400 people worldwide have died from the virus.

However, this is not to say that a new form of H5N1 could not be more deadly, and there are many virologists around the world working on ways to deal with potential pandemics.

Professor Kawaoka argues that ‘foreseeing and understanding this potential is important for effective surveillance’.

Professor Kawaoka’s Department of Pathobiological Sciences at the University of Wisconsin is not rated at the most secure level.

Laboratories that work with deadly biological agents are graded with increasing levels of biosafety, which range from BSL-1 up to BSL-4.

Establishments rated at BSL-4 include the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory at Porton Down in Wiltshire, and the new National Biodefense Analysis and Countermeasures Center in Maryland in the U.S.

Professor Kawaoka’s lab is rated at BSL-3. Under the strict guidelines, the entrance to the laboratory must be through two sets of self-closing and locking doors, and no air must escape from it.

All procedures must be carried out inside a closed biological safety cabinet, into which scientists insert  their hands and arms cased in latex gloves.

Often, respirators must be worn, and all staff members are medically screened, and immunised when possible. However some scientists are adamant that the risks are still too high.

In a paper published in 2012, Lynn Klotz, a Senior Science Fellow at the U.S. Centre for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation, stated that 42 institutions were working with any number of three potentially deadly disease-causing substances — smallpox, the SARS virus, and H5N1.

Klotz estimated there was an 80 per cent likelihood of one of these diseases escaping from one of these laboratories in just under every 13 years.

‘This level of risk is clearly unacceptable,’ Klotz said.

However, Klotz’s work did not take account of another danger — one that makes the risk of a genetically manipulated virus breaking free from a lab even more likely: terrorism.

Even though the idea that, say, militant Islamists, might break into laboratories to release strains of H5N1 seems far-fetched, it is taken very seriously by policymakers.

In 2011, the U.S. National Science Advisory Board for Biosecurity called for scientific papers on H5N1 to be censored, which caused fierce debate among scientists.

Because of such fears, in 2012 many scientists voluntarily halted research on H5N1. The moratorium lasted for a year, after which the virologists lifted it, stating that the risks from not studying the virus were greater than those raised by the virus falling into the wrong hands.

However, many scientists remain deeply uncomfortable with the way some research is carried out on H5N1. Those doubts are sure to be repeated with the latest revelations about Professor Kawaoka.

Some, such as Professor Marc Lipsitch, advocate what he calls ‘ethical alternatives’ to the type of approach used by Kawaoka, in which more rigorous risk assessments should be made.

‘In the case of influenza, we anticipate that such a risk assessment will show that the risks are unjustifiable,’ Professor Lipsitch states in a paper he published last month.

But despite such calls from their academic colleagues, Kawaoka and other scientists, such as Professor Ron Fouchier at Erasmus Medical Centre in Rotterdam, insist that what they are doing is right, and maintain that their work is safe and therefore ethical.

But as every scientist knows, there is no such thing as a sure bet. There is always a chance that, one day, someone will walk out of Professor Kawaoka’s laboratory in Wisconsin feeling under the weather.

If that happens, then we must hope and pray that those same scientists find a cure —before millions die.

It’s no surprise that liberals are guzzling the LGBT Kool-Aid by the gallon. But a new piece in Slate, which makes the argument that we should stop “infant gender assignment”, takes the crazy train a little too far.

The imaginary treatment I described above is real. Obstetricians, doctors, and midwives commit this procedure on infants every single day, in every single country. In reality, this treatment is performed almost universally without even asking for the parents’ consent, making this practice all the more insidious. It’s called infant gender assignment: When the doctor holds your child up to the harsh light of the delivery room, looks between its legs, and declares his opinion: It’s a boy or a girl, based on nothing more than a cursory assessment of your offspring’s genitals.
We tell our children, “You can be anything you want to be.” We say, “A girl can be a doctor, a boy can be a nurse,” but why in the first place must this person be a boy and that person be a girl? Your infant is an infant. Your baby knows nothing of dresses and ties, of makeup and aftershave, of the contemporary social implications of pink and blue. As a newborn, your child’s potential is limitless. The world is full of possibilities that every person deserves to be able to explore freely, receiving equal respect and human dignity while maximizing happiness through individual expression.
With infant gender assignment, in a single moment your baby’s life is instantly and brutally reduced from such infinite potentials down to one concrete set of expectations and stereotypes, and any behavioral deviation from that will be severely punished—both intentionally through bigotry, and unintentionally through ignorance. That doctor (and the power structure behind him) plays a pivotal role in imposing those limits on helpless infants, without their consent, and without your informed consent as a parent. This issue deserves serious consideration by every parent, because no matter what gender identity your child ultimately adopts, infant gender assignment has effects that will last through their whole life.

We see more and more and more high-profile stories about transgender people in the news. The shame and the mysticism surrounding them is fading at an exponential rate, as public consciousness matures from the depths of exploiting puerile stereotypes and bigoted joke depictions of the trans experience into a more complex awareness of, and sensitivity to, the humanity and emotions of non-cis people. Every parent today knows there is a chance their child might be transgender. A small chance, perhaps, but a chance higher than zero.

According to this insane blogger, we should wait until the child is two or three years old to make the decision about what gender they really, and at that point, we should trust what the toddler is telling us, as opposed to what our eyes are seeing — because, you know, three-year-olds are always mature enough to make decisions that have lifelong implications. It’s time we stop pretending that transgender is a real thing, too, and see it for what it is: a mental illness. If someone insisted that they were really a cow, we wouldn’t surgically graft horns on their head. People are male or female, and that truth is embedded into our DNA. It can’t be changed on the whim of a mentally ill individual, and we shouldn’t be encouraging it, either.

Stolen radioactive material recovered in Mexico

Mexico City (AFP) - The theft of a vehicle in Mexico containing a potentially deadly radioactive material briefly raised alarm Friday -- but the container was found with no leak or harm to the population.

The truck, which was transporting deadly iridium-192, a radioactive substance used in making some industrial products, had been stolen Thursday, federal civil defense officials said.
The substance "can be dangerous for human health if removed from its container," according to an official statement cautioning that the material could be lethal even if handled for only a brief time.
The truck was found shortly after it disappeared, but the radioactive material remained missing, National Civil Protection Coordinator Luis Felipe Puente posted on his Twitter account.
Puente confirmed a few hours later that the radioactive material had also been located.
The container "was not violated, it contains the material, which was measured," he added in an interview with Milenio television.

"As it wasn't manipulated, there was surely no risk to people," Puente said.

The theft in Mexico state had prompted officials to issue an alert throughout the capital region and in neighboring states.

It recalled a similar incident in December, when thieves stole a cargo truck containing highly radioactive cobalt-60, apparently unaware of the deadly cargo within the vehicle.

Authorities ultimately arrested and hospitalized several suspects in that case after recovering the lethal material.

The Mexican government warned Friday that a vehicle containing radioactive material has been stolen, and issued a dire warning to the thieves against taking the potentially deadly material from its protective container.
That’s if they are indeed mere “thieves” and not terrorists. The AFP reported:

Federal civil defense officials said the vehicle had been transporting deadly iridium-192, a radioactive substance used in making some industrial products.
The substance “can be dangerous for human health if removed from its container,” the officials said in a statement, adding that the material can be lethal even if handled for only a brief time.
The theft in Mexico state prompted officials to issue an alert throughout the capital region and in neighboring states.

A similar incident occured in December 2013, when thieves stole a cargo truck containing highly radioactive cobalt-60, apparently unaware of the deadly cargo within the vehicle.
The Mexican government later claimed the material was recovered. Several suspects were arrested in in case, however the material was never presented to the public, media or experts, and some local officials still believe authorities failed to recover it.
This time, however, the material is far smaller, in a casing about the size of a pen, and may be more difficult to find or detect.
It’s a good thing our border is air tight and impenetrable.
