Family Tree |
New York Times
journalist Rachel L Swarns used DNA testing and historical documents
to track down Mrs Obama’s living white family members for her new
book, "American Tapestry: The Story of the Black, White and
Multiracial Ancestors of Michelle Obama."
Joan Tribble, 69, was found to be one of those distant cousins.
Her ancestor, Henry Wells Shields, owned Michelle Obama’s
great-great-great grandmother, Melvinia.
Charles Marion Shields, Henry’s son, fathered a child with
Melvinia in 1860, Dolphus T Shields, according to DNA tests.
Dolphus, Michelle’s great-great grandfather on her mother’s side,
was long rumored to be half-white. He had light skin and
Irish-looking features.
However, the family never talked about who his father was.
It was previously unknown that he was the son of a slave owner and a
slave.
The book also raises the possibility that Charles Shields, who
was 20 at the time, raped Melvinia, who was just 15. The
practice was not uncommon on southern plantations.

Young
Michelle |
Michelle Obama, born on January 17, 1964, is now a bureaucrat with a big salary, a bigger
house and a husband with one hand on the Presidency.
But when
The Mail went back to the district of Chicago where Michelle
LaVaughn Robinson was raised, we found a rather different picture from
the one so single-mindedly promoted by Camp Obama.
Instead of the one-room tenement that now appears in most accounts of
her upbringing, we found a well-kept neighborhood of red-brick Arts and
Craft-style houses which have long been home to respectable black
families.
"Michelle was from a middle-class family," confirmed one of her
long-time friends, Angela Acree.
"She came from a regular family. They had a nice home. It wasn't a
mansion, but it was just fine. It was a decent neighborhood."
Michelle's father was a volunteer organizer for the city's Democratic
Party, a by-word for machine politics in America, and his loyalty was
rewarded with a well-paid engineering job at Chicago's water plant.
Even before overtime, he earned $42,686 -- 25% more than High
School teachers at the time.
Michelle's mother stayed at home and devoted her energies to her and her
older brother Craig. Marian Robinson nurtured great ambitions for
both her children.
Television was all but banned in favor of homework, debates about the
issues of the day and improving games of chess.
Bright and determined, Michelle was awarded a place at one of Chicago's
first "magnet" schools. She graduated from Whitney Young High
School in 1981, and was awarded an affirmative-action seat at Princeton, one of America's most venerable
and expensive universities. |

Michelle's Prom Dress |
"My dress is royal blue with silver beading on the top. I was
thinking a French manicure but that’s so plain. I don’t want blue nail
polish because that’s a bit to urban for my taste. Any suggestions? Also
when it comes to gel and acrylic nails which is best?" |
University Of Chicago |
Michelle Obama for the second time has
talked about how alienated she was from the University of Chicago
when she was growing up on the South Side.
Mrs. Obama commented
about her relationship with the U. of C. in a commencement address she
delivered on May 16, 2009, at the University of California, Merced --
echoing remarks she made to children in March at a school here.
The context: Many of the UC Merced graduates were the first in their
families to earn college degrees, and Mrs. Obama said, "By using what
you have learned here, you can shorten the path perhaps for kids who may
not see a path at all.
"I was once one of those kids. Most
of you were once one of those kids," and then told the students how she
grew up just a few miles from the University of Chicago.
"Yet
that university never played a meaningful role in my academic
development. The institution made no effort to reach out to me --
a bright and promising student in their midst -- and I had no reason to
believe there was a place for me there.
"Therefore, when it came
time for me to apply to college, I never ... considered the university
in my own backyard as a viable option."
She later collected over
$300,000/year to divert poor patients away from this university's
hospital -- not exactly "reaching out" to the community. |
Princeton |
"In a February 2008
interview with Newsweek, Michelle revealed that she got into
Princeton … not on the strength of her grades, which she admits were
unexceptional, but thanks to her brother Craig, a star athlete and
gifted student who preceded her to the school. As a 'legacy'
candidate and a beneficiary of affirmative action, Michelle Obama was
granted an opportunity that others more accomplished were denied."
At Princeton, Miss Robinson wrote a senior thesis (below) entitled
"Princeton-Educated Blacks and the Black Community." Some excerpts from the thesis include the
following:
"Predominately white universities like Princeton are socially and
academically designed to cater to the needs of the White students
comprising the bulk of their enrollments."
"[My Princeton experiences] "will likely lead to my further integration
and/or assimilation into a White cultural and social structure that will
only allow me to remain on the periphery of society; never becoming a
full participant."
"I have found that at Princeton, no matter how liberal and open-minded
some of my White professors and classmates try to be toward me, I
sometimes feel like a visitor on campus; as if I really don't belong.
Regardless of the circumstances under which I interact with Whites at
Princeton, it often seems as if, to them, I will always be Black first
and a student second."
"Earlier in my college career, there was no doubt in my mind that as a
member of the Black community I was somehow obligated to this community
and would utilize all of my present and future resources to benefit this
community first and foremost."
"In defining the concept of identification or the ability to identify
with the Black community … I based my definition on the premise that
there is a distinctive Black culture very different from White culture."
"Elements of Black culture which make it unique from White culture
such as its music, its language, the struggles and a 'consciousness'
shared by its people may be attributed to the injustices and oppression
suffered by this race of people which are not comparable to the
experiences of any other race of people through this country’s history.
However, with the increasing integration of Blacks into the mainstream
society, many 'integrated Blacks' have lost touch with the Black culture
in their attempts to become adjusted and comfortable in their new
culture –- the White culture. Some of these Blacks are no longer
able to enjoy the qualities which make Black culture so unique or are
unable to share their culture openly with other Blacks because they have
become so far removed from these experiences and, in some instances,
ashamed of them because of their integration."
Interesting, Michelle capitalizes Black and White
-- I never learned that in school.
Michelle was determined to prove that no matter how she got there, she
deserved her place in the class. She graduated with departmental honors
and was accepted to Harvard Law School, where she was accepted under the aegis of a minority
outreach program. As one of her friends would later reflect,
Robinson recognized that she had been privileged by affirmative action
and was very comfortable with that.
"My experiences at Princeton have made me far more aware of my
'Blackness' than ever before," she wrote in her thesis.
"I sometimes feel like a visitor on campus, as if I don't really
belong."
One solution, she continued, was to "utilize all of my present and
future resources to benefit (the black) community first and foremost". |
Thesis
Blocked |
When the Clintons occupied the White House, public access to Hillary's
Wellesley thesis was blocked.
In January, 2008, it was discovered that, with the help of Princeton, the Obamas
had blocked Michelle's Princeton thesis until November 5th, 2008.
"Why a restricted thesis?" asked blogger-pastor Louis Lapides on his
site Thinking Outside the Blog. "Is the concern based on what's in
the thesis? Will Michelle Obama appear to be too black for white
America or not black enough for black America?"
What's November 5, 2008, you ask? Why it's the day after the
United States presidential election of 2008 is scheduled to be held.
The election is on November 4, 2008.
The fact that the thesis was blocked became public
knowledge, and several weeks later, the block was removed by Princeton
-- see February, 2008, below. |
The
Thesis |
On February 23rd, 2008, the Politico blog releases Michelle's blocked thesis
on racial divide, containing the following:
"My experiences at Princeton have made me far more aware of my
'blackness' than ever before," the future Mrs. Obama wrote in her thesis
introduction. "I have found that at Princeton, no matter how
liberal and open-minded some of my white professors and classmates try
to be toward me, I sometimes feel like a visitor on campus; as if I
really don’t belong. Regardless of the circumstances under which I
interact with whites at Princeton, it often seems as if, to them, I will
always be black first and a student second."
"[My experience] will likely lead to my further integration and/or
assimilation into a White cultural and social structure that will only
allow me to remain on the periphery of society; never becoming a full
participant."
"It is possible that Black individuals either chose to or felt pressured
to come together . . . because of the belief that Blacks must join in
solidarity to combat a White oppressor."
The thesis, titled "Princeton-Educated Blacks and the Black Community"
and written under her maiden name, Michelle LaVaughn Robinson, in 1985,
has been the subject of much conjecture on the blogosphere and elsewhere
in recent weeks, as it has been "temporarily withdrawn" from Princeton’s
library until after this year’s presidential election in November.
Some of the material has been written about previously, however,
including a story last year in the Newark Star Ledger.
Critics, who have read the thesis, say it is the most sophomoric,
non-scholarly piece of drivel ever and claim it exposes the lack of
academic rigor at Princeton, even over 20 years ago (cursor down -- it
IS there).

Harvard
Law |
At Harvard, she felt the same racial divide. Verna Williams and
Michelle became friends in their first year of law school. She
remembers many of their fellow black students worrying that white
classmates viewed them as charity cases. But she suggests Michelle
was not among them. "She recognized that she had been privileged
by affirmative action
and she was very comfortable with that," Williams recalls.
She obtained her Juris Doctor degree from
Harvard Law School in 1988 and was admitted to the bar in the Spring of
1989. |
Michelle Argues For Race-Based Faculty
Hiring |
Charles Johnson
says during her third and final year at Harvard Law School, Michelle
Obama -- then named Michelle Robinson -- penned an article for the
newsletter of Harvard's Black Law Students Association (BLSA), arguing
that Harvard and its students were perpetuating "racist and sexist
stereotypes" by not intentionally hiring minority and female law
professors on the basis of their sex or skin color.
The 1988
essay, titled "Minority and Women Law Professors: A Comparison of
Teaching Styles," ran in a special edition of the BLSA Memo. The future
first lady justified her demands for more black and female law school
faculty by attacking the "traditional model," in which law students were
educated through the Socratic method.
She also opposed the
traditional meritocratic hiring principle, where professors with better
legal pedigrees were more often hired, arguing that it limited the
success of women and blacks.
"The faculty's decision to distrust
and ignore non-traditional qualities in choosing and tenuring law
professors merely reinforces racist and sexist stereotypes," Mrs. Obama
wrote, "which, in turn, serve to legitimize students' tendencies to
distrust certain types of teaching that do not resemble the traditional
images."
In particular, she condemned the Harvard law professor
ideal made famous in John Osborn's 1970 book "The Paper Chase" and Scott
Turow's 1977 autobiographical novel "One-L," for promoting the view that
law school faculty should be "cold, callous, domineering, old, white men
who took pleasure in engaging their students in humiliating and often
brutal discourse." She faulted her fellow students for being "racist"
and "sexist" and buying into that particular "image" of a proper law
school education.
Instead, she praised the teaching of several
professors who didn't use the Socratic method, including the far-left
academics Martha Minow and Charles Ogletree. Minow's father, Newton
Minow, later recruited Michelle and Barack Obama to Sidley Austin, the
Chicago law firm where the two met. Ogletree, who mentored both Michelle
and Barack at Harvard, admitted during the 2008 election that he had
concealed a videotape of Obama praising "critical race theory" architect
Derrick Bell.
Michelle also gushed praise for critical race
theory itself -- the view that law is an instrument of the powerful
against the powerless, rather than an effort to seek justice. |
Affirmative
Action |
Michelle Obama specifically
criticized standardized testing in education:
"During Monday’s speech, Michelle Obama criticized the Bush
administration’s "No Child Left Behind" program, which she said is
"strangling the life out of most schools."
"If my future were determined by my performance on a standardized test I
wouldn’t be here," she said. "I guarantee that."
Michelle's telling the truth. She was "awarded" a place at a
magnet school that had special programs for gifted children. She
got into Princeton as a "legacy" because her brother Greg was a star
basketball player -- no doubt on a jock scholarship. At Harvard,
she admitted that she had been privileged by affirmative action
and was very comfortable with that.
With all that special treatment, she still
hates America. |
Michelle
Meets
Obama |
Following law school,
she became an associate at the Chicago law firm of Sidley & Austin.
Also in 1989, Barack Obama joined Sidley Austin as a summer intern --
and
Barack and Michelle meet.
-- she was his summer adviser.
Michelle stopped
registering with the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary
Commission in 1993. Her entire career as a licensed attorney
lasted less than five full years. |
Michelle,
Barack
And The
Terrorist |
While at Sidley & Austin
(1989-1991), Michelle
would
meet the terrorist, Bernadine Dohrn,
who helped bomb something like 25 targets, including the Capitol and the
Pentagon.
Dohrn was working at the firm as a result of the recommendation of the
CEO of Chicago's power company, Tom Ayers. His son, the unrepentant
terrorist, Bill Ayers, ran the organization that put up the money to
bring Obama to Chicago in the first place.
Ayers' father, Thomas Ayers, was CEO of Commonwealth Edison as well as a
trustee of Tribune Co. and chairman of the board of Northwestern
University.
Dohrn was hired by . . ."the powerhouse firm of Sidley Austin." The very
same law firm where Barack Obama was hired as a summer associate after
his first year at Harvard Law School. Where he met Michelle, his
future wife. And just how did that coincidence happen?
Trienens headed Sidley Austin when the firm hired Dohrn in 1984.
She had never practiced law and had been out of law school for 17 years.
When I asked Trienens if he had hired Dohrn, he replied: "Yes."
Wasn't that a bit of nepotism, considering his relationship to her
father-in-law? A lot of lawyers would love a first job with such a
prestigious firm.
"We often hire friends," replied Trienens, 84.
Dohrn had not practiced law and been out of law school for 17 years
while she was oh so busy doing, uh, other things,
Dohrn wasn't licensed to practice law. Though she passed the bar
exam, the ethics committee turned her down because of her rap sheet.
That limited the type of work she could do at Sidley Austin, which she
left after a few years.
"Dohrn didn't get a license because she's stubborn," Trienens said. "She
wouldn't say she's sorry." |
A Peer Review |
I received the following
over the transom from an attorney who was an associate and peer of
Michelle Robinson (Obama) at the law firm of Sidley Austin, LLP.
Michele's office was on my floor at the firm and I would walk by
it everyday. She was rarely in the office, had very limited
work papers in her office, yet apparently was drawing an
associate salary while not practicing law, and billing huge
hours as is ordinary for an associate. My fellow associates and
I worked to 10 p.m. customarily and many times to 2 to 3 a.m.,
every weekend, meeting the crushing work loads. But Michele
never had to do that, which understandably caused a lot of
resentment amongst fellow associates. I have no first hand
knowledge since it would be a private and confidential
arrangement, but the associate scuttlebutt drawn from partner
"leaks" was that she was drawing a firm salary while working
full time for City Hall doing political fund raising and
"special projects" work for the Daley Machine. The word
was that this arrangement benefited the firm because many times
their real estate clients had city zoning and other legal issues
that required city approvals or resolution, so the firm needed
to be viewed as on the city hall team and accede to their
wishes. So from the very start of her career my opinion is
that Michelle was the beneficiary of the nefarious city hall
back scratching schemes. As demonstrated by The Obama File, she
seems to have benefitted from these " arrangements"
her entire professional career. I have my doubts that she did
much at the University of Chicago to justify such an
enormous
salary and have never heard tell of any significant
projects she was handling,
let alone any accomplishments or major successes in the
healthcare field.
Michele at one point did leave officially to work for the
Daley Administration, but was already well engaged in
political activities during the day and regularly absent
from the firm for a lengthy period of time before she left.
I can't recall the precise timelines but I would estimate
that she was listed as an associate at the firm but not
carrying a regular work load for well over one year, maybe
even two years before she "left" for the City Hall payroll.
On a personal note, Michele was simply the most
angry, arrogant and caustic
young person I have ever met in my life. She simply would
not engage with her fellow associates and apparently viewed
herself as superior to them. I personally observed that
she would only engage with partners, most notably senior
partners. Never a friendly smile or good morning for staff
or fellow associates as she walked past them day after day after
day. I remember one particular instance where a group of
associates and I were chatting at a firm cocktail party and I
noted how no one seemed to know Michele but were constantly
gossiping about her. The gang just commented about how arrogant
and unfriendly she was and never around. I commented that
maybe she was just uncomfortable as a Southside girl being
around all of these elitist, snobby white folks at a silk
stocking firm. So I walked over to her when she was getting
hors d'oeuvres and introduced myself as a friendly overture.
She gave me a dirty look, literally threw her head back and
turned her back on me and walked back over the a group of senior
partners gathered around
Eden
Martin! As if you say how dare you approach me you filthy
little underling. I went back to my group of associates
friends feeling embarrassed and they just chuckled and said
"told ya'." So, Michele was not the sweet or kind person the
media would like us to believe. She was an elitist and only was
interested in those who could advance her personal interest, not
ordinary folks. To this day, that episode was the rudest I
have ever been treated by anyone, and there are lot of rude
lawyers out there. I never met Barack, but only heard
about him second hand. My fellow associates who were summer
interns with him (in '89 I think) described him as very tall,
handsome, thin, and amiable but pretty aloof. They
commented of his love of basketball and that he was always up
for a game and that basketball and politics is all that grabbed
his interest at the time. They stated that he did not seem
to be interested in practicing law at a big firm and doing the
hard and dull work that that entailed, was just drawing his big
pay check, that he did not turn work assignments in on a timely
matter, was gone frequently, and generally wanted to be a
community organizer in preparation for a political career, not
as a practicing attorney. As a result, the firm -- according to
what I was told by people that should know -- did not extend him
an offer. So as shocking as it seems, our Obama apparently did
not make the cut as a summer intern. I suspect that is buried
like all written documentation and will never see the light of
day, but I do wonder if Obama could produce an offer letter from
Sidley? According to what I was told, and this is just second
hand, he was not offered a job and was instead sent a regrets
letter. This of course is not to say that he could not have
succeeded if he wanted to. He is bright and quick, and I would
hate to try a lawsuit against him, but certainly not the
brilliant legal scholar and committed, talented practicing
attorney that he has been portrayed as by the media. He was,
and is very much a clever Southside Chicago pol, no more and no
less.
According to
Wikipedia, Obama was a summer associate with Hopkins &
Sutter in 1990, and graduated in 1991 from Harvard. So that
would suggest he was a first year summer intern at Sidley in
89', was not offered to return for a second summer, took a
summer intern job at Hopkins & Sutter, and probably did not get
an offer there either -- unless he can account for his time away
from legal practice. Hopkins paid a top tier salary, so I doubt
that he would turn that down if he was offered it.
Both were kind of odd cases at Sidley, frankly. Regardless of
their ethnicity, gender, or other background, all other young
lawyers to a person that I met were very committed to making a
career at the firm, worked very hard at their projects, worked
on honing their craft and were trying to build a reputation
within the firm for doing quality legal work and build a career.
However, both Michele and Barack came into the firm and were
treated very differently and behaved differently, more like
political hires who were just using the firm as a political
vehicle, getting a blue-chip firm stamp on their resume, and
being funded in the meantime. Same basic "arrangement" as
Bernadine Dohrn had. She did
not do legal work to my knowledge and paying her a salary was
simply a deposit in the favor bank to borrow a phrase from
Bonfire of the Vanities. Mary A. Dempsey, current head of
the Chicago Public Library and husband of super lawyer and Dem
pol Phil Corboy, was another political hire. She did not really
practice law but simply practiced Chicago politics and drew a
salary at the same time. This is what they call the "Chicago
Way." Future leaders are not chosen on merit or strength of
character but are simply groomed and coopted as appartchniks of
the political machine.
My strong sense is that both Michele and Barack Obama are mere
empty creations of the Chicago political machine who advanced
through the ranks in order to support vested political and
economic interests. Who these vested interests were or what
back room deals were made, no one will ever know. Barack's
background as a "constitutional scholar" is widely acknowledged
a being a sham by the true constitutional lawyers and scholars
in Chicago. How can you be a constitutional scholar when
you have not written a single legal brief on the subject, given
a single meaningful scholarly lecture before
experts, published a peer-reviewed scholarly articles or
treatise? There is simply no "there, there" which is why BHO is
so lost when he goes off of teleprompter and seems to be so lost
for answers and fresh ideas or even rudimentary knowledge -- he
is simply the spokesman for these hidden interests and power
brokers who espouse a radical far left ideology and delivers the
same old tired leftist adages and buzz words. My measurement of
him is that is literally the living, breathing and tragically
elected "Chauncey Gardiner of the Left." (Remember the
scene where the power brokers at the end of the film "Being
There" were talking about raising Chance the gardener to the
office of the President).
Michelle Obama has been on
court ordered inactive status with the Illinois State Attorneys bar
from 1993, after only 4 years of practicing law. Many are curious
to know what did she did, or didn't do, to acquire this status. |
First
Date |
According to the
Internet Movie Data Base, Barack and Michelle went
to the movies on their first date. The film that
the happy loving couple chose to see was, "Do the Right
Thing," which was produced and directed by Spike Lee.
The conclusion of the movie features a race riot in a
Brooklyn pizzeria which takes place after an argument
between the Italian owner of the shop and a black
customer who refuses to turn down a loud boom box radio
escalates into a full scale war inside the restaurant.
The business ends up being destroyed as the building is
set on fire by the angry mob.
Is that your idea of a good date movie or a chick flick?
It certainly isn’t a family classic.

Valerie
Jarrett -- Crosslink |
Chicago Tribune
biographical profile relates that in summer 1991 a "young Sidley
Austin attorney named Michelle Robinson" interviewed with
Valerie
Jarrett, who was then Mayor Richard Daley's deputy chief of staff.
Reporters Christi Parsons, Bruce Japsen and Bob Secter reported that,
before accepting the subsequent job offer, Michelle Robinson said that
first "her fiancé," Barack Obama, "the independent-minded community
activist [who] had privately expressed his political ambitions", wanted
to meet with Jarrett.
What followed was a Chicago dinner meetup by Jarrett, Robinson and
Obama:
This job would put his wife-to-be squarely in the offices of the man
whose father had perfected the Democratic machine.
"My fiancé wants to know who is going to be looking out for me and
making sure that I thrive," Jarrett recalled Robinson telling her. ...
At the end of the evening, Jarrett turned to Barack and asked, "Well,
did I pass the test?" Obama smiled, put his head down, closed his
eyes and said, "Yeah, you passed the test.
That was the start of a long relationship that has paid off politically
for Barack Obama, connecting him to Daley's inner circle.
"After leaving City Hall, Jarrett went on to lead the Chicago Transit
Authority. She recruited Michelle Obama to the transit agency's
citizen advisory committee.
City Hall records show Michelle Obama, then still named Robinson, began
work as a $60,000-a-year mayoral assistant in September of 1991.
She didn't stay long in the mayor's office. Within weeks, Daley
promoted Jarrett to run the new Department of Planning and Development.
Michelle followed.
Jarrett now sits on several boards. Interestingly, she is the
Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Chicago Medical
Center, where Michelle has her $360,000-year "outreach" job.
Jarrett has served as treasurer of Barack Obama's leadership
political action committee (PAC), the Hopefund and is now one of his
closest campaign advisers.
Katie Couric Interviews Valerie Jarrett (04:27)
But this is what the Campaign won't tell you.
Jarrett, known as the other side of Barack Obama's brain, is
Shirazi. She
was born in 1956 in Shiraz, Iran, about 570 miles
south of Tehran.
Her father was on the staff of the Nemazee
Hospital, where Jarrett
was born. "Every memory from Iran is a very happy memory,"
Jarrett said in an e-mail.
Jarrett has a background in real estate and politics in Chicago and is
linked to a series of real estate scandals, including several housing
projects operated by convicted felon and Obama fundraiser/friend Antoin
"Tony" Rezko.
According to the documents obtained by Judicial Watch from the Illinois
Secretary of State, Valerie Jarrett served as a board member for several
organizations that provided funding and support for Chicago housing
projects operated by real estate developers and Obama financial backers
Rezko and Allison Davis, Obama's former boss. Jarrett was a member
of the Board of Directors for the Woodlawn Preservation and Investment
Corporation along with several Davis and Rezko associates, as well as
the Fund for Community Redevelopment and Revitalization, an organization
that worked with Rezko and Davis.
As Chief Executive Officer of the Habitat Company Jarrett also managed a
controversial housing project located in Obama's former state senate
district called Grove Parc Plaza. According to the Boston Globe
the housing complex was considered "uninhabitable by unfixed problems,
such as collapsed roofs and fire damage. |
The
Daley
Machine |
In the summer of 1991 Michelle
joined
the staff of Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley, and began working as
go-between for Mayor Daley's Machine. She enjoyed the kind of
vague but well-paid career made possible by affirmative action.
The description on the candidate's website of what exactly she's been
doing for the U. of Chicago Medical Center is eye-glazing but ultimately
revealing: she's in the diversity racket.
"She also managed the business diversity program. Michelle has
fostered the University of Chicago's relationship with the surrounding
community and developed the diversity program, making them both integral
parts of the Medical Center's mission." |
Michelle
Marries |
Obama and Michelle
Robinson of Chicago, Illinois are
married on October 18, 1992. The
ceremony was performed by Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. at Trinity United
Church of Christ in Chicago, Illinois.
|
The
Medical
Center |
A couple of months after her husband was sworn in as U.S. Senator,
Michelle's salary at the Medical Center was raised from $121,910 to
$316,962.
It appears that Barack Obama, allegedly decent guy and
agent of "change" in Washington,
requested an earmark in 2006 for $1 million taxpayer dollars for the
hospital where his wife works.
The Chicago Tribune
reported that Mrs. Obama’s compensation at the University of Chicago
Hospital, where she is a Vice President for Community Affairs, jumped
from $121,910 in 2004, just before her husband was elected to the
Senate, to $316,962 in 2005, just after he took office.
Do you know of anyone that has ever gotten a 260% raise? I sure
don't.
Now, I know that there are lots of ways to talk about transactions like
this involving public officials -- quid pro quo, etc., but I prefer to
just say that we're dealing with good, old fashioned, public corruption
here.
The Daily Mail of London
takes a jaundiced view:
"An acquaintance of Obama's family compares her with another political
wife, another lawyer as it happens, with a keen interest in making
money. "Michelle is very much like Cherie Blair [wife of former Prime
Minister Tony Blair]. She is a middle-class girl who has discovered that
money is nice and doesn't see that as a contradiction with having
radical beliefs," he said.
Chicago's veteran political consultant and pundit Joe Novak agrees,
saying: "She [Michelle] is now motivated more by personal gain than by
social consciousness. She saw her opportunities, and she
took them."
We see here an unusual arrangement between the University of Chicago and
its new teacher/State Senator. The Senator’s wife provides political
cover for the university with the community (next item), in return for which the
university provides a previously non-existent and prestigious position
to the Senator’s wife, which allows her to funnel students into
hard-left political groups that sometimes provide campaign workers to
the Senator.
Details . . .
The Washington Post notes an odd coincidence between the
University of Chicago Medical Center (UCMC), where Michelle Obama worked
as a vice-president until recently, and a major Barack Obama donor.
The UCMC, under Michelle’s supervision, granted a $650,000 contract to a
local minority contractor for upgrading the center’s intranet. In
her 2006 report, Michelle listed only Blackwell Consulting in
demonstrating how she had strengthened ties to the local community.
Robert Blackwell, however, turns out to be something more than just a
lucky local.

Poor
Folks |
The ranking minority member on the Senate Finance
Committee is
seeking information from the non-profit University of Chicago
Medical Center about jobs held by Obama’s wife and one of his best
friends, The Post’s Joe Stephens reports.
Sen. Charles Grassley (R-IA) on Friday sent the center a letter saying
he was "troubled" by recent news reports about the hospital’s efforts to
steer patients with non-urgent complaints away from the center’
emergency room to local clinics. Michelle Obama was a key figure
behind the initiative.
The letter, which Grassley released to the public today, does not
directly mention the Democratic presidential nominee, his wife or his
campaign. Grassley also asked for financial data, board minutes
and other documents related to hiring, job promotion, business
contracting and care for the poor. |
Suspended From The Practice Of Law |
Michelle Obama has been described as a
"distinguished attorney" despite the fact that Michelle Obama has been "inactive"
since 1993.
Michelle has been on
court ordered inactive status with the Illinois State Attorneys bar
from 1993, after only 4 years of practicing law. What did she do?
This Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission (ARDC)
suspension is for discipline reasons...not for those volunteering to
stop practicing. It is COURT ORDERED...not "Michelle Obama ordered."
Their website is very clear about their function and why they step in.
An attorney, points out, "sounds more to me like she was drummed
right out of the practice of law. I am just dying to know what she
did... she ran to have a court ordered inactive status done...and then
no malpractice report needed to be provided.
She wanted this to
"go away" fast and furious and the details not come out in depositions,
courtroom documents, rulings for the client/plaintiffs...etc..
The ARDC is the agency of the Supreme Court of Illinois which registers
attorneys and investigates complaints of misconduct filed against
attorneys holding a license to practice law in Illinois.
Their
principal purpose is to assist the Supreme Court to determine a lawyer's
fitness to practice law in Illinois. If a complaint is made that
an attorney, licensed to practice law in Illinois, has engaged in
illegal, unethical or dishonest conduct, they will investigate and, if
warranted, bring formal disciplinary charges. The Supreme Court of
Illinois will then ultimately decide if a lawyer should be censured
(publicly rebuked), suspended (having the law license to practice either
taken away for a certain period of time or placed on a probationary
period) or disbarred (having the law license taken away indefinitely).
The ARDC cannot impose fines, imprison, obtain monetary damages,
enforce remedies between the lawyer and client, or seek civil or
criminal relief against a lawyer as part of the disciplinary process.
They can affect only the lawyer's ability to practice law in Illinois.
They are not funded by taxpayers' money. They are funded
entirely by the annual registration fees paid by attorneys authorized to
practice law in Illinois. |
The
Campaign |
In a February 2007
appearance with her husband on 60 Minutes, Mrs. Obama implied that
America's allegedly rampant white racism posed a great physical threat
to her husband, who had just announced his candidacy for the 2008
presidential race.
Said Mrs. Obama: "As a black man, you know, Barack can get shot going to
the gas station." (Mrs. Obama's implication ignored the fact that
the vast majority of violence against black Americans is committed by
other blacks. According to the U.S. Justice Department, for
instance, between 1976 and 2005, fully 94 percent of black murder
victims were killed by black attackers.) |
More
Whites |
In Apri, 2008, only a week after her husband drew throngs to Soldiers and Sailors,
Michelle Obama
wooed a small crowd at Skibo Gymnasium on Wednesday.
Skibo’s risers were packed with community members and students from many
of Pittsburgh’s universities. The rally was staffed by volunteers from a
number of Carnegie Mellon student organizations, including Carnegie
Mellon Students for Barack Obama, Student Senate, AB Political Speakers,
and College Democrats.
While the crowd was indeed diverse, some students at the event
questioned the practices of Mrs. Obama’s event coordinators, who
handpicked the crowd sitting behind Mrs. Obama. The Tartan’s
correspondents observed one event coordinator say to another, "Get me
more white people, we need more white people." To an Asian
girl sitting in the back row, one coordinator said, "We’re moving you,
sorry. It’s going to look so pretty, though."
"I didn’t know they would say, 'We need a white person here,'" said
attendee and senior psychology major Shayna Watson, who sat in the crowd
behind Mrs. Obama. "I understood they would want a show of
diversity, but to pick up people and to reseat them, I didn’t know it
would be so outright."
Mrs. Obama was introduced by Teresa Heinz Kerry, wife of former
Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. John Kerry (D–Mass.). |
Fear
Bomb |
Michelle
decried "the fear bomb'' that opponents have used against her
husband -- his middle name -- Barack "Hussein" Obama. She said in
Canton, Ohio, that it is happening again and calling Obama by his given
name shows why it's so important that he wins election as president.
"They threw in the obvious, ultimate fear bomb," Michelle said of her
husband's 2004 Senate race. "We're even hearing [that] now. …
'When all else fails, be afraid of his name, and what that could stand
for, because it's different.'" |
Yes We Can |
"We have young kids all over the world who are looking to this nation,
and they are trying to figure out who we are, and what we wanna become."
"We have a chance, not just to make history, but we can change the
world."
"We can change the world -- yes we can, yes we can, yes we can, yes we
can, yes we can." |
The One |
And, she
goes on, "We have lost the understanding that in a democracy,
we have a mutual obligation to one another -- that we cannot measure our
greatness in the society by the strongest and richest of us, but we have
to measure our greatness by the least of these."
"That we have to compromise and sacrifice for one another in order to
get things done -- that is why I am here, because Barack Obama is the
only person in this race who understands that."
"That before we can work on the problems, we have to fix our souls --
our souls are broken in this nation."
Michelle
added,
"If we can't see ourselves in one another, we will never make those
sacrifices."
"So I am here right now because I am married to the only person in this
race who has a chance at healing this nation."
On the same day, she
said,
"The first major decision he had to make in his life, after college --
"Do I go to Wall Street and make money, or do I work for the people?" --
Barack worked as a community organizer in some of the toughest
neighborhoods on the south side of Chicago."
"Helping young mothers find their voice and their power -- folks who had
a reason to be cynical because government had forgotten them long ago."
"There is no one else in this race who can claim that kind of commitment
to people on the ground. No one."
"Barack, as Oprah
said,
is one of the most brilliant men you will meet
in our lifetime."
"Barack is more than ready. He'll be ready today, he'll be ready
on day one, he'll be ready in a year from now, five years from now -- he
is ready."
"That is not the question." The question is: What are we ready for?"
"Wait, wait, wait -- because we say we're ready for change, we say we're
ready for change, butcha see, change is hard."
"Change will always be hard, and it doesn't happen from the top down."
"We do not get universal health care, we don't get better schools
because somebody else is in the White House. We get change because
folks from the grass roots up decide they are sick and tired of other
people telling them how their lives will be -- when they decide to roll
up their sleeves and work."
But, here's the
BIG ONE --
"And Barack Obama will require you to work."
"He is going to demand that you shed your cynicism, that you put down
your division, that you come out of your isolation, that you move out of
your comfort zones, that you push yourselves to be better, and that you
engage."
"Barack will never allow you to go back to your lives as usual --
uninvolved, uninformed." |
The Other -- Michelle Obama's Makeover for America |
The powerful clay work shows Michelle Obama in the style of an African
Queen, wearing large hooped earrings and an "afro pick" comb in her
Egyptian-influenced hairstyle.
An American flag is tattooed across her naked chest and the comb is
decorated with pearls, the traditional garb of a First Lady, and an
American Eagle.
The work, by controversial sculptor Daniel Edwards, is clearly a nod to
both Mrs. Obama's ethnic roots and her position at the heart of
American culture and politics.
As her husband, Barack Obama, battles to win the next U. S. presidential
elections, she has come under intense media spotlight, and has been
likened to former First Lady Jackie Kennedy.
However, Edwards said: "The goal is to create a look for Michelle Obama
that eliminates excessive comparisons to Jackie Kennedy."
The bust, entitled "Michelle Obama's Makeover for America" goes on
display at the Leo Kesting Gallery in New York on October 1
Makeover for America -- no thanks -- you can
keep your makeover -- and comparison to Jackie O -- not on her worst day
-- that bust is just scary.
The sculptor has managed to capture that dismissive, elitist look
though. |
Michelle Obama -- Birther |
The Democrats, the ObamaMedia and the Left
belittle Americans for having questions about who and what Barack Obama
is. But what are Americans supposed to believe when statements
like the one Michelle Obama makes in this video only reinforce the
notion that we know little about this guy. We certainly don't know
the truth.
You can move the bar at the bottom. The key
words starts at about 40 seconds:
Michelle Obama speaking at the 2008 LGBT Delegate Luncheon
(03:00)
At 42 seconds, Michelle clearly says: "When we took our
trip to Africa and visited his home country, in Kenya..." -- not his
ancestral home -- not his father's home country -- "...HIS home
country, in Kenya..."
Here is the
definition
of "home country."
Michelle has made previous bombshell
pronouncements, like this one:
Speaking at a Kansas City
roundtable in July, 2008, held at the city's University of Missouri
campus, Michelle said his [Barack Obama's] own mother, she
said at the
beginning of her remarks, was "very young and very single when she had
him." -- and here's
the video --
slide the slider to 8:40 -- straight from the horse's mouth, so to
speak.
So, what are we supposed to believe? |
As It
Should Be |
Gateway Pundit
reports that Michelle Obama's words were lifted from Saul Alinsky’s
book, "Rules for Radicals," in her DNC Convention speech.
What to make of Michelle Obama's use the terms, "The world as it is" and
"The world as it should be?" From whence do they originate?
Try Chapter 2 of Alinsky’s book. In last night's speech, Michelle
Obama said something that peeked my curiosity. She said:
"Barack stood up that day," talking about a visit to Chicago
neighborhoods, "and spoke words that have stayed with me ever since.
He talked about "The world as it is" and "The world as it should be..."
And, "All of us driven by a simple belief that the world as it is just
won’t do -- that we have an obligation to fight for the world as it
should be."
Here’s an excerpt from Chapter 2 of Saul Alinsky’s book, Rules for
Radicals:
"The means-and-ends moralists, constantly obsessed with the ethics of
the means used by the Have-Nots against the Haves, should search
themselves as to their real political position. In fact, they are
passive -- but real -- allies of the Haves… The most unethical of all
means is the non-use of any means... The standards of judgment
must be rooted in the whys and wherefores of life as it is lived, the
world as it is, not our wished-for fantasy of the world as it
should be."
And here's another
instance -- from the same speech:
"And as I tuck [my] little girl and her little sister into bed at night,
I think about how one day, they’ll have families of their own. And one
day, they -- and your sons and daughters -- will tell their own children
about what we did together in this election. They’ll tell them how this
time … we committed ourselves to building the world as it should be."
When Michelle Obama opened the convention, she had a single task. To make everyone forget her "For the first
time in my adult life, I am proud of my country" remark. So, she
said:
"All of us -- driven by a
simple belief that the world as it is just won't do -- that we have
an obligation to fight for the world as it should be. That is the
thread that connects our hearts. That is the thread that runs
through my journey and Barack's journey and so many other improbable
journeys that have brought us here tonight, where the current of history
meets this new tide of hope.
"And, you see, that is why I love this country."
Read it again -- "Threads??????" --
"...connects our hearts," "...my journey," "...Barack's
journey, "...the current of history meets this new tide of hope."
Who writes this stuff? Aren't they embarrassed?
That statement is bullcrap!
She
still hates America and the only thing that will make her happy is to be
queen.

OUR Leadership |
In a stump speech at Fort Wayne, IN, in April, 2008, Michelle
said:
"We've lost sight of the fact that we are one another's brothers' and
sisters' keepers in this nation. We have to prepare to sacrifice
something big for the greater good. In order to do that, you have
to feel some faith and trust and inspiration in our leadership. I
don't think there's anyone else in this race who's going to be able to
unify this country, who's going to be able to change the way politics is
done, who's going to bring people together who never thought they had
anything common before and who's going to do it in a way that's decent
and honest. That man is my husband, Barack Obama." |
"...For The First Time In My Adult Life..." |
Poor Barack, how can he admit that he didn’t hear any of that
rabble-rousing rhetoric at the Trinity UCC church because he slept through all 20 years of it?
If you want to find
the culprit here, turn to Michelle. I’m willing to bet she
heard every word of Wright’s inflammatory sermons, swallowed them whole,
and seethed in anger over White America’s wretched mistreatment of her
fellow black Americans as described by her pastor.
Nowadays she’s playing the role of dutiful wife and doting mother, but
every once in a while her anger surfaces as it did most famously when Michelle
proclaimed in February, 2008, "For the first time in her adult
life," she was proud of America, as she spoke during a rally to support
her husband’s presidential bid.
During a rally in downtown Milwaukee, Michelle said, "Hope is making a
comeback and, let me tell you, for the first time in my adult life, I am
proud of my country. Not just because Barack is doing well, but I think
people are hungry for change," she said during a rally in downtown
Milwaukee.
"I have seen people who are hungry to be unified around some basic
common issues and it has made me proud," she told supporters.

Oops! |
On
September, 27th, 2007, Obama's Campaign moved quickly to dampen expectations
raised by Michelle Obama, who said that her husband had to win Iowa. |
Whoa! |
Michelle Obama
contradicted the embedded story-line of her husband’s biography
Thursday.
His own mother, she said at the beginning of her remarks, was "very
young and very single when she had him." |
Boo-Hoo! |
On
November 11th, responding to a question about Hillary's lead in the
black community, Michelle Obama whined and played the victim "of the horrible legacies
of racism and discrimination and oppression."
Her husband is a U. S. Senator, running for the presidency and Michelle
is a cum laude graduate in Sociology of Princeton University, graduate
of Harvard Law, current
Vice President for Community and External Affairs for the University of
Chicago Medical Center and has been the Associate Dean of Student Services for the
University of Chicago and serves on a variety of boards and commissions.
She very well could be the First Lady -- and she hates America.
Boo-freakin'-hoo!
We should all be so fortunate -- regardless of skin color.

Above
Criticism |
Obama ripped into a Republican ad today that targets comments made
by
his wife, Michelle, and called the GOP tactic "low class" and
"detestable."
The Illinois senator told "Good Morning America" that he expects
hardball tactics from the Republicans if he becomes the Democratic
presidential nominee.
"But I also think these folks should lay off my wife," he told "GMA" as
his wife giggled beside him.
Michelle Obama was asked about the ad on "GMA," but her husband said,
"Let me just interject on this."
"The GOP, should I be the nominee, I think can say whatever they want to
say about me, my track record," Obama said. "I've been in public life
for 20 years. I expect them to pore through everything that I've
said, every utterance, every statement. And to paint it in the
most undesirable light possible. That's what they do."
"But I do want to say this to the GOP. "If they [Republicans] think that they’re going to try to make
Michelle an issue
in this campaign, they should be careful, because I find unacceptable
the notion that you start attacking my wife or my family."
And, fast on the heels of Obama telling us we can’t use the
anti-American statements of his wife as a campaign issue we get the
DailyKos doing their best to "help" Barack Obama by making an image (here)
of Michelle Obama hanging from a tree with robed Ku Klux Klan figures
torturing her with a branding iron and claiming that this is the "NEW
IMPROVED" GOP strategy. So much for the subtleties and civility
that Barack claims he wants.
Michelle Obama is very much an issue in this campaign.
Anyone
who participates materially in a political campaign is a legitimate
target for campaign-related criticism so, if they can’t take the heat,
they should stay out of the kitchen.
Michelle Obama can’t express contempt for our country -- a contempt that
Barack Obama shares as shown by his refusal to respect our National
Anthem -- by saying she has never been proud of the United States until
her husband ran for President, and then expect nothing to be said about
it.
She can’t write a senior thesis that reinforces a very comprehensive
picture of Barack Hussein Obama as a Black Nationalist and very possibly
a racist, and then expect it not to become an issue.
Michelle Obama is still
instructive. She's a depressing specimen of a post-modern
class of victim -- demanding, whining, self-absorbed, self-pitying, and
infantile. |
Glamorous |
The Obamamessiah,
responding to a question from Glamour magazine said, "It’s
infuriating, but it’s not surprising, because let’s face it: What
happened was that the conservative press -- Fox News and the National
Review and columnists of every ilk -- went fairly deliberately at her
(Michelle Obama) in a pretty systematic way…and treated her as the
candidate in a way that you just rarely see the Democrats try to do
against Republicans.
And I’ve said this before: I would never have my campaign engage in a
concerted effort to make Cindy McCain an issue, and I would not expect
the Democratic National Committee or people who were allied with me to
do it. Because essentially, spouses are civilians.
They didn’t sign up for this. They’re supporting their spouse.
So it took a toll. If you start being subjected to rants by Sean
Hannity and the like, day in day out, that’ll drive up your negatives.
Oh, Bambi! As long as you have the bride
making political speeches in front of the Gay & Lesbian Leadership
Council, extolling the beauty of
the homosexual lifestyle, and criticizing the United States of America
as "just downright mean," you can expect Michelle to take some hits.
If
you two can't take the heat, I suggest you go back to Chicago, and see
if you can help Governor Blagojevich solve the crime problem you
left behind in Chicago. It's so bad the governor wants the
National Guard patrolling the streets of your old district. You
know the ones, where the buildings built by your crony Rezko have been
condemned and as unfit
for human habitation.
Of course, the bigger question is what the hell is he doing talking to
some ditz from "Glamour?" When is he going talk to Bill O'Reilly
or Sean Hannity? Someone who won't get a tingle up their leg like
Chrissy-Boy. |
Bad
America |
The simple truth is that if any of us
exposed ourselves to the kind of racist teachings espoused by the Rev.
Jeremiah Wright for 20 years, we might find it downright impossible to
do any better than Barack and Michelle in the loving-America category of
citizenship.
We probably couldn't summon a whole lot of American patriotism if our
brains were stuffed on a weekly basis with sermons like this:
"Racism is how this country (America) was founded and how this country
is still run!"
or this:
"We (Americans) are deeply involved in the importing of drugs, the
exporting of guns and the training of professional KILLERS. . . . We
believe in white supremacy and black inferiority and believe it more
than we believe in God. . . . We conducted radiation experiments on our
own people. . . . We care nothing about human life if the ends justify
the means!"
If I listened to stuff like this every Sunday for 20 years, I probably
wouldn't be all that proud of my Country either, and certainly would
feel it hypocritical to wear the symbol of this God-forsaken Nation in
my lapel.
Wouldn't you? |
Worse
America |
March 26th -- Here is Michelle Obama going off on America --
again:
"We don't like being pushed outside of our comfort zones. You know
it right here on this campus. You know people sitting at different
tables. You all living in different dorms. I was there.
You're not talking to each other, taking advantage that you're in this
diverse community. Because sometimes it's easier to hold on to
your own stereotypes and misconceptions. It makes you feel
justified in your own ignorance... That's America. So the
challenge for us is are we ready for change?"
The full video is
HERE.
Oddly enough... Knowing that Michelle and her husband sat in front of a
racist, anti-American preacher for 20 years sort of takes away from
their whole "Change" theme.
It does explain her disgust for the country, though.
She's going to make one hell of a First Lady. Once she has full
access to the media, it'll be a bitch a day. |
Divided
America |
Michelle
said, "In 2008, we are still a nation that
is too divided. We live in isolation, and because of that
isolation, we fear one another."
"We don't know our neighbors. We don't talk. We believe that
our pain is our own -- we don't realize that the struggles and
challenges of all of us are the same."
"We are too isolated. And we are still a nation that is still too
cynical."
"We look at it as them and they as opposed to us -- we don't engage
because we are still too cynical." |
Mean
America |
Michelle, addressing a congregation at South Carolina's Pee Dee
Union Baptist Church, began with a broad
assessment of life in America in
2008, and life is not good: we’re a divided country, we’re a country
that is "just downright mean," we are "guided by fear," we’re a nation
of cynics, sloths, and complacents. "We have become a nation of
struggling folks who are barely making it every day," she said, as heads
bobbed in the pews. "Folks are just jammed up, and it’s gotten
worse over my lifetime. And, doggone it, I’m young. Forty-four!"
More good news from this depressing woman. |
Ignorant
America |
March 26th --
Cassy Fiano
writes:
I have to say, I am really loving this Democratic race these past few
months. I wonder if either Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton understand
what they're doing to themselves the longer they drag this out, the more
they talk, the more skeletons that inevitably come out. But hey, by all
means, keep it up! They're both doing a great job.
Here's some more, uh, patriotism from that America-loving couple, Barack
and Michelle Obama. Michelle once again takes on the task of being the
official idiotic mouthpiece for her husband, with glorious results:
Money quote:
Because sometimes it's easier to hold on to your own stereotypes
and
misconceptions. It makes you feel justified in your own ignorance.
That's America. So the challenge for us is are we ready for change?
Wouldn't it be just great to have a President and First Lady with such
unabashed, seething hatred for their country?
This speech is, apparently, from January so it's a little bit old.
But
it's just yet another example of how the Obamas do not love America,
not
even a little bit. This is a horrible, terrible, hate-filled, racist,
greedy country, and we need the Obamas to come and offer us their
magical change, and they'll fix everything for us! All we have to do
is
hand over control of our entire lives to them and their big
government. They know better than we do, us small-minded, racist
Americans.
Rachel Lucas has a pretty good take on this:
... I don't know what kind of time-space continuum Michelle Obama lives
in, but in my world, there are only 24 hours in a day, which would
preclude meeting every single student at your college. Maybe that's the
reason the kids she was talking to might not be pals with all the
others?
No, we have to assume that every action taken by every person
(especially Whitey) has something to do with wanting to avoid diversity,
having stereotypical ideas of other races, and operating on
misconceptions, all fulminating in proof that we're ignorant because
that's how Amerikkka is.
So are you ready for the challenge of change? I know I am. I'll start
today by introducing myself to every single person in my immediate area,
especially the non-white ones, because it's time to get out of my
comfort zone of prejudice and ignorance. Forget the job and everything
else I have to do each day, what's really important here is that I take
advantage of living in a diverse community.
They're doing it. They're fixing my broken American soul, one step at a
time. Hopechange! |
Broken
America |
Ahhh, but she's not done. From these bleak generalities, Obama
moves into
specific complaints.
"Used to be," she will say, "that you
could count on a decent education in the neighborhood. But now
there are all these charter schools and magnet schools that you have to
'finagle' to get into. (Obama herself attended a magnet school,
but never mind.)
Health care is out of reach ('Let me tell
you, don’t get sick in America'), pensions are disappearing, college is
too expensive, and even if you can figure out a way to go to college you
won’t be able to recoup the cost of the degree in many of the
professions for which you needed it in the first place. You’re
looking at a young couple that’s just a few years out of debt," Obama
said.
"See, because, we went to those good schools, and we didn’t
have trust funds. I’m still waiting for Barack’s trust fund.
Especially after I heard that Dick Cheney was s’posed to be a relative
or something. Give us something here!" |
Sick
America |
Also, on the 14th, Michelle
said, "Don't get sick in this country -- not
here. Americans are in debt not because they live frivolously but
because someone got sick. And even with insurance, the deductibles
and premiums are so high that people are still putting medication [and
?] treatments on credit cards."
"And they can't get out from under."
"I could go on and on and on, but his is how we're living, people, in
2008."
"And things have gotten progressively worse throughout my lifetime --
through Democratic and Republican administrations -- it hasn't gotten
better for regular folks." |
Stay
Poor |
February 29th, Michelle visited Zanesville, Ohio, where she met with a
group of women at a local day care center. She
said, "We left corporate
America, which is a lot of what we’re asking young people to do," she
tells the women. "Don’t go into corporate America. You know,
become teachers. Work for the community. Be social workers.
Be a nurse. Those are the careers that we need, and we’re
encouraging our young people to do that. But if you make that
choice, as we did, to move out of the money-making industry into the
helping industry, then your salaries respond."
In the same speech, Mrs. Obama demonstrated how out-of-touch she is, by
bemoaning the amount of money she has to spend,
$10,000, on "piano and dance and sports supplements" and "summer
programs and so on and so forth," for her two children.
That $10,000 is nearly one-third of the median household income in
Zanesville ($37,192 in 2004).
Michelle Obama is
still instructive. She's a depressing specimen of a
post-modern class of victim -- demanding, whining, self-absorbed,
self-pitying, and infantile. |
Devastated |
Michelle Obama
spoke before a crowd of about 150 that paid from $1,000 to $10,000
apiece at a private fundraising dinner at a downtown Denver hotel.
During the fundraiser, Obama said the contrasts between her husband and
McCain are great.
"We have one candidate who essentially is telling us every day that the
world as it is just fine. That what we've been doing for the last
eight years is fine," Obama said. "Stay the course. Don't
make too many changes."
"And then we have this other candidate -- Barack Obama -- who is saying
every day that the world as it is not right. It's not good
enough," she said.
"I wish we had time to be divided. I wish we had time to be upset.
To be angry. To be disappointed. I wish we did," Obama said.
"Because if we had time for that, then things wouldn't be so bad right
now. Instead, we're in a place where another four or eight years
of the world as it is will devastate the life of some child."
If I had this depressing worldview, I would
have to shoot myself. |
Socialismo |
In June 2004, Hillary Clinton outlined her socialist philosophy in a
speech to a San Francisco audience when she explained that "We’re going
to take things away from you on behalf of the common good." In
2008, that task fell to Michelle Obama. In an appearance in
Charlotte in April, 2008, , Mrs. Obama made it just a little more specific (via
Hot Air):
Should she become first lady, she said she’d focus on family issues.
"If we don’t wake up as a nation with a new kind of leadership…for
how we want this country to work, then we won’t get universal health
care," she said.
"The truth is, in order to get things like universal health care and a
revamped education system, then someone is going to have to give up a
piece of their pie so that someone else can have more."
I thought that sounded familiar.
On Thursday,
November 1st,
2007, Obama made this startling comment, "We've got to make
sure that people who have more money help the people who have less
money."
Obama and his wife Michelle see eye-to-eye with Karl Marx on income redistribution.

Racial
Politics |
During Michelle Obama's
remarks at campaign stops in Harrisburg, Winston-Salem and Raleigh,
she consistently talked about the need for poor and working families to
demand a change from a government that speaks to their (racial) needs.
The Democratic hopeful's wife said the videotaped comments of Rev.
Jeremiah Wright were an important "opportunity," long ignored by
others (white people), to lead the nation towards a critical dialogue on
race, and bridging the entrenched gaps that divide the American people.
The ex-"Diversity Outreach Coordinator," who now makes more than
$350,000 a year, said:
"Barack is the leader that will have it, unlike many before who have
just shied away from it because it's hard. I'm not afraid of the
conversation. I'm desperate for us to have it so that we can move
beyond it. So I was grateful that he did it, and proud of how he
did it."
"We need somebody who is going to fundamentally shake up the way
politics works in this country."
"He's harnessing this energy like the community organizer that he is --
someone who understands the power of engaging people, showing them their
self-interest, and getting them working on the ground. Those are just a
couple of the ways he's reshaped the political paradigm."
"Dialogue about race" is the LAST thing we need. Especially when
it's couched in the Alinsky Method of "community organizing" that
Michelle describes in the previous statement.
There isn't the slightest bit of evidence that Michelle Obama is
interested in a "dialogue" about race -- she is only interested in
telling all those "typical white persons" how to think in order to
conform to her far-left, politically correct standards.
Thomas Sowell recently said that you should never bother listening to
someone who says they want a dialogue on race, because what they really
want is a monologue. They want to be the one delivering it, and the
first to scream racism when you actually do have a dialogue on race.
Hah! Dialogue -- they talk, you listen.
From her days at Princeton, Michelle has had a single obsession -- race,
race, race, race, race and more race -- and she, her husband and their
pastor will "heal" this country? I don't think so. |
Wright
The
Racist |
April 29th -- On NBC Nightly News, Michelle Obama
resorted to a plea reminiscent of the Clinton era:
"We got to move forward. You know, this conversation (about
Wright) doesn't help my kids, you know. It doesn't help kids out
there who are looking for us to make decisions and choices about how
we're going to better fund education."
Do it for the children -- ha, ha, ha! |
Feelings |
Michelle Obama told a rally in Durham that only her husband's desire
to change politics had helped him
control his feelings. Obama is struggling to contain his anger
and frustration over the constant barrage of questions about his
character and judgment.
"Barack is always thinking three steps ahead -- what do we need to do to
make change," she said.
He was also thinking, "I can't let my ego, my anger, my frustration get
in the way of the ultimate goal."
Bullpuppies!
He's mad cuz' he and Wright got exposed as the bigots they are. |
Bitterness |
Michelle gave essentially the same stump
speech in Charlotte, North Carolina that she had given the week earlier
in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Based on the stump speech, Yuval Levin
calls Mrs. Obama "The unhappiest millionaire." Levin's NRO column
carries a link to the C-SPAN video of Mrs. Obama's North Carolina
speech. It is well worth watching.
Levin characterizes the pervasive themes of Mrs. Obama's stump speech as
the "gospel
of bitterness." Levin finds Barack Obama to be preaching a
similar gospel, albeit one that benefits from "a peppier and more upbeat
stump speech[.]" Senator Obama's enormous political skills make it
much more difficult to discern the somewhat repulsive views and
attitudes that are nakedly on display in Mrs. Obama's stump speech.
Michelle Obama seethes with bitterness. While she preaches the
gospel according to Barack, she wears resentment and bitterness on her
sleeve. It is therefore painful to listen to her. She's
apparently even still angry about her SAT scores. She didn't test
well in school, she explains. Somehow, she has overcome -- she was admitted to
Princeton -- No wonder
she's sore. |

Girls |
One day soon, will a "saddened" Obama tell us that the Michelle Obama we
see on video is "not the Michelle Obama I knew?"
It was in early May, 2008, when rumors of a tape of Michelle Obama
ranting and raving and making remarks that were consistently called
"stunning". Then
we heard the GOP already had this tape, and it was most likely Rudy
Giuliani's opposition research team that found it,
The Michelle Obama Rant Tape was allegedly filmed between June 26th and
July 1st, 2004, in Chicago, IL, at the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition Conference
at the Sheraton Hotel in Chicago, specifically the women's panel.
Michelle Obama appeared as a panelist alongside Mrs. Khadijah Farrakhan
and Mrs. James Meeks, wife of the
hateful Rev.
Meeks.
For about 30 minutes, Michelle Obama launched into a rant about the
evils of America, and how America is to blame for the problems of
Africa. Michelle personally blamed President Clinton for the
deaths of millions of Africans and said America is responsible for the
genocide of the Tutsis and other ethnic groups. She then launched
into an attack on "whitey", and talked about solutions to black on black
crime in the realm of diverting those actions onto white America.
Her rant was fueled by the crowd: they reacted strongly to what she
said, so she got more passionate and enraged, and that's when she
completely loses it and says things that have made the mouths drop of
everyone who's seen this.
The "tape" is a DVD that Trinity United sold on its website, and
possibly offered free for download up until March 2008 when Trinity's
site was scrubbed and the DVDs were no longer offered for sale.
It's also being reported that ABC-7 news anchors moderated a panel at
the Conference that appears to be the one Michelle Obama participated
in. If so, then it's reasonable to believe ABC-7 in Chicago has
footage from the panel discussion.

There is no comparison. Jackie Kennedy

Gay
Rights |
Michelle Obama, inferring special rights for homosexuals,
pledged to the city’s gay community Thursday night that her husband
will campaign for gay equality.
Rule #26 of
Communist Goals 1963
-- Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal,
natural, healthy." |
Texas
Sucks! |
Michelle Obama
exposes Texans as knuckle-dragging bigots.
Michelle Obama has the goods on everyone down here in Texas. She
is telling the world what backward cretins Texuns is. In a speech
last week, Mrs. Messiah laid the wood to you sorry bastards:
"It’s not just about positions that you take. It’s also about
the leadership that you provide on these issues. Barack has the
courage to talk to skeptical audiences, not just friendly ones.
That’s why he told a crowd at a rally in Texas that gays and lesbians
deserve equality. And you can imagine in Texas that that crowd got
a little quiet."
Well, can’t you imagine it? Texans (presumably including
Democrats, since this was an Obama rally) hanging their heads in silent
shame because they do not embrace the beauty of the homosexual
lifestyle. But, do not fear: Barack will wag his finger at us and
teach us The Way.
This is part of his strategy to win the Lone Star State in November? |
Elitism |
Michelle Obama
said in Pontiac, Michigan, Wednesday that if her husband is elected
he will offer more than a "quick fix" on the economy.
"You're getting $600 -- what can you do with that? Not to be
ungrateful or anything, but maybe it pays down a bill, but it doesn't
pay down every bill every month," she said. "The short-term quick
fix kinda stuff sounds good, and it may even feel good that first month
when you get that check, and then you go out and you buy a pair of
earrings." |
It's
Personal |
Women will
choose the next president,
Michelle Obama
said at a rally here Wednesday as she described one of her husband's
most important challenges in his race against Sen. John McCain: "We need
to educate more women and bring them into this campaign."
"We're going to decide the outcome of this race. Whether the bad guys or
the good guys win, it's going to be up to us."
"This is personal," said Michelle. |
Lies |
Michelle Obama
told
"Good Morning America" co-anchor, Robin Roberts, that a recent John
McCain campaign ad characterizing her husband as a self-involved
celebrity on the order of Paris Hilton and Britney Spears has it all
wrong.
"You know, this is the kid who was raised by a single mother, who didn't
have access to many resources, who, you know, has walked away his entire
life from lucrative careers to work in the community," she said of the
presumptive Democratic presidential nominee. "This guy, you
know... he personifies all of what, you know, we hope that our kids can
be."
Everything in Michelle's statement is a lie.
Obama wasn't raised by single mother. She had a husband/man around for
Obama's first 11 years and then, from the age of 11, Obama was raised by
his grandparents, because his mother goes native in Indonesia.
"...didn't have access to many resources" -- Punahu School, Occidental,
Columbia, Harvard Law -- poor kid!
"...walked away his entire life from lucrative careers..." -- like
lawyer/United States Senator/US President/Messiah -- get real Michelle!
"...personifies all of what, you know, we hope that our kids can be." --
A prideful opportunist, liar and fraud -- just what I want my kids to
be! |
The
Convention |
Sen. Barack Obama's campaign
announced yesterday that his wife, Michelle, will be the star
attraction on the opening night at the Democratic National Convention in
Denver on Aug. 25th.
This announcement means that the DNC has admitted that it has anointed
Obama as their savior -- and no deviation from the party line will be
tolerated.
There is no other explanation for scheduling the wife of a candidate to
be the opening speaker in a convention that is supposed to select the
man or woman who will lead the party into a presidential election. Are
the Dem's signaling another co-presidency? Is the person behind the
curtain Michelle? Does anybody ever remember a candidates spouse opening
a convention? |
Priceless! |

I'm Smart |
In a current People magazine interview, Michelle Obama
claimed she could be "very competent" on policy putting in only a 70%
effort.
"On some level I view myself -- as do many women in my position -- as
120-percenters, meaning we feel good about what we're doing when we're
doing it at 120 percent. So, I could be very competent putting 70
percent in, but I don't feel good about it. I feel like, if I'm
going to master it, I'm going to master it. Where I've had to come
-- not just in this campaign, but in my life of having so much that I'm
doing, my career, the role of mom and exercise and all these other
things that I have come to believe are just as important -- is I've had
to sort of let go of that 120-percent thing and say, I can't do
everything. I am not going to realistically be the policy expert
on every opinion and position that Barack has because I don't have the
time to do it, quite frankly. And I have to be okay with that."
"That is the internal struggle that I, and a lot of women, have.
You listen to the outside, which says you have an obligation --
because you're smart and well-educated -- to do this. And it's like,
'Yeah, but I also have these kids.'"
Several times, in a short interview, Michelle
Obama works in references to her own abilities and intelligence -- does
this show us self-confidence or insecurity? |
Inferiority
Complex |
Dinesh D'Souza's makes some
observations about Michelle Obama's inferiority complex.
Michelle notes that she graduated with honors in her major. Again,
the problem is that her undergraduate thesis is on the web. You
might expect that she wrote about Shakespeare's sonnets or the political
evolution of W.E.B. Du Bois. Well, no. Essentially Michelle
Obama wrote about the problems of being a black woman at an Ivy League
university.
Here is a typical passage: "By actually working with the Black lower
class or within their communities as a result of their ideologies, a
separationist may better understand the desperation of their situation
and feel more hopeless about a resolution as opposed to an
integrationist who is ignorant to their plight."
Alas, the grammar is all wrong here. More than once, the tenses
are garbled. People are ignorant "of" the plight of the lower class, not
ignorant "to" their plight. And "desperation" should be spelled
"desperation." To wreak so much havoc on the English language in
one sentence, without conveying anything of substance, is perhaps
deserving of a prize. Is this what her professors were thinking
when they granted her honors? Whatever the Obamorons say, let's
remember that that these are not mere typos; they reflect an estranged
relationship to the English language. Moreover they appear not in
an off-the-cuff transcript but in a thesis that is supposed to reflect
the culmination of one's college career.
Subsequently Michelle went on to further appointments and even managed
to cash in big time on her skin color and marriage to Barack Obama.
She was hired by the University of Chicago hospitals to run "programs
for community relations, neighborhood outreach, volunteer recruitment,
staff diversity, and minority contracting." Here her salary was
$400,000 a year.
One might expect that the reaction of someone who gets so many
privileges to be grateful to a society that makes them possible.
But no. Michelle Obama thinks that her very success is an example of
white oppression. By a bizarre twist of logic, she converts
"you're not good enough, but we'll take you anyway" into a message of
"they said I wasn't good enough, but I proved them wrong."
Ordinarily these psychological peculiarities may be of little interest,
except perhaps to a therapist. But Michelle now stands next to a
man that may be elected president of the United States. Barack
Obama wants everyone to "lay off" his wife. He doesn't seem to
realize that this is not a reasonable request concerning a woman who
clearly influences him and who stands to have public influence in her
own right. Moreover, for months the media has been laying off her
precisely because she is his wife. Like Michelle, Obama seems to
confuse preferential treatment with ill treatment. |

Obama's Ancestors Traced To Ulster Slave Owner |
Paul Melia
is reporting that Michelle Obama's ancestry can be traced to a slave
owner from what is now Northern Ireland, who emigrated to America in the
1700s.
A new book claims that Andrew Shields, who fought against
the British in the American War of Independence, was Mrs Obama's
great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather and his family were
slave owners.
Her great-great-great-grandmother Melvinia was a
slave who had children by Charles Shields, grandson of Andrew Shields.
One of those children, Dolphus Shields, born in 1859, was Michelle
Obama's direct ancestor.
The claims are made in American
Tapestry: The Story of the Black, White and Multiracial Ancestors of
Michelle Obama by Rachel L Swarns, a writer with the New York Times.
DNA technology was used to prove the link, and among the
genealogists who helped trace Mrs Obama's roots was Megan Smolenyak, who
discovered that President Obama's roots went back to Moneygall in Co
Offaly.
While the book does not identify where the Shields came
from, it was most likely Ulster as the family was Protestant and there
was considerable Scots-Irish emigration to the American South at the
time.
It traces dozens of white relatives of Michelle Obama, none
of whom knew of their connection through slavery to the first lady. Most
were shocked to learn the connection and hoped that the Shields-Melvinia
relationship was not one of rape, but love.
"You really don't
like to face this kind of thing," said Joan Tribble, whose ancestors
owned the first lady's relative.
"To me, it's an obvious love
story," another descendant, Aliene Shields, added, pointing out they had
several children together.
Ms. Smolenyak began the project just
before Obama was elected and she said she hoped her discovery would
please Michelle Obama. |
Pay The Woman
|
Lauren Stiller Rikleen, who is a partner at a Massachusetts-based law
firm, executive director of the Bowditch Institute for Women's Success,
and the author of "Ending the Gauntlet: Removing Barriers to Women's
Success in the Law," thinks that Michelle Obama should receive a
paycheck.
She presents her case in a 3-page
article at WashingtonPost.com, "Michelle Obama has impeccable
credentials that will not be diminished by her decision to discontinue
her paid work outside the home. Like other first ladies before
her, she will have an office, a staff and even a budget. What
other positions with staffing and budgets have no job description?"
"It is only fair that the role of first lady be formally recognized
for the demanding position that it is. Then we can stop the false
argument about whether Obama has "opted out" of the workplace, knowing
that she is about to begin the hardest job she will ever hold." |
More Michelle Antoinette |
Rick Moran's sure you'll be
glad to hear that your tax dollars are being spent wisely by
Michelle Obama.
After jetting back in from her weekend in Vail
with the kinder, Michelle Obama has deep sixed her regular fashion
expert and hired someone who is now drawing a government salary in the
White House. The Washington Post:
On Tuesday night last week, Ikram Goldman,
the celebrated stylist of Michelle Obama, took her front-row seat at
the Lincoln Center runway show of one of the first lady's preferred
designers, Narciso Rodriguez.
[...]
Having Michelle
Obama as a mega-client earned Goldman this spotlight, but according
to several people with knowledge of her White House arrangement, she
is no longer the shopper in chief.
That coveted role is now
played by Goldman's former protegee and current White House
employee, Meredith Koop. The ascent of the 29-year-old
personal assistant has caught the imagination of Fashion Week
gossips, East Wing obsessives and "All About Eve" fans for weeks.
A former Vanderbilt University sorority sister, Koop learned fashion
gospel at the altar of Ikram, Goldman's eponymous Chicago boutique.
Two years ago, when Michelle Obama left for Washington, Goldman
dispatched Koop as an emissary, attending to the first lady's
dressing needs inside the family residence. Koop has taken
full advantage of proximity to power. Her portfolio has
expanded, at the expense of her mentor. This season Koop is
in, and Goldman is out.
Koop is employed by the White House. It may
be "unfashionable" to ask, but why does the First Lady need a taxpayer
funded fashion consultant?
Could be she's a clothes horse:
Givhan reported that since the end of the
summer, the role of cultivating "New York designers for a first lady
whose wardrobe needs are relentless" had fallen to Koop. (Koop's
previous visibility was limited to a mention in a short April 2010
Politico.com piece as Obama's "secret style weapon.")
I may be mistaken. Other first ladies may
have had a staffer dedicated exclusively to making sure that a first
lady's "relentless" clothes needs are met. But it would be news to
me if that were the case. Nancy Reagan had a relationship with
designers similar to Michele Obama's friendship with Goldman. The
payoff for the designer was not in getting a taxpayer funded paycheck,
but in seeing their designs worn by a highly visible celebrity.
I
guess that's just not good enough for our nutritionist in chief.
