As Western Journalism reported yesterday, a series of photos from the scene of a federal government standoff in Clark County, Nev. indicate Bureau of Land Management agents slaughtered multiple cows on the Bundy Ranch. After alleging the ranch’s owner, Cliven Bundy, had failed to pay federal grazing fees for a number of years, armed BLM agents swarmed the area, resorting to physical violence against members of the family and threats toward those who arrived to support them.
Allegations this week, in the aftermath of BLM’s decision to back down in the face of growing opposition, are perhaps even more outrageous. According to one report, federal officials systematically gunned down numerous head of cattle, allowing others to be trampled in unorthodox herding practices.
The agency was apparently so preoccupied with removing the cattle from the ranch in an effort to punish the Bundys that its agents disregarded safe protocol. Michele Fiore, a Nevada assemblywoman who has been on the front lines in defending the ranch against the government’s excessive force, detailed the atrocities she said occurred on the property.
After posting a number of photos of dead cows, she appeared on the Pete Santilli radio show to offer some context. She said officers shot cattle from the air as they flew overhead in helicopters, explaining numerous calves were left defenseless after their mothers were taken down or displaced.
“I personally helped save a calf who still had an umbilical cord attached to her as she was separated from her mom,” Fiore said.

She called the ordeal “disgusting,” explaining BLM agents “don’t herd cattle, they slaughter cattle.”
Attempts to move the livestock by force led to countless preventable deaths, she said.
“This is the BLM’s practice,” Fiore explained, noting officers “herd animals with helicopters, ATVs, and shotguns”; and if any “get out of line, they get a bullet in the back of the head.”
Crude attempts to bury the animals failed, she explained, as shallow graves left body parts exposed.
While more and more critics are demanding legal action against the agency in an effort to expose the cruel behavior, some have accused left-leaning activist groups including People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals of remaining silent on the issue. Western Journalism contacted PETA for comment and received a statement from Senior Vice President of Communications Lisa Lange that seemed to equate the actions of federal agents and the ranchers.
“These animals shouldn’t be killed either by the government, or by the rancher who plans to send the cows off to slaughter,” she stated. “The best thing anyone can do to stop the suffering of animals is to go vegan.”
Fiore had a direct message to special agent Daniel Love, who alleged the BLM did not kill cattle on the ranch.
“He’s a flat out liar,” she said, “period.”

See the AMAZING video in which President Obama’s brother (when we say ‘Obama’, we mean Malik) expresses solidarity with a man who wants to build the third Temple right next to the Dome of the Rock – Islam’s third holiest site – in Jerusalem. Making this situation worse for Malik, himself a professed Muslim, is that the man he’s partnering with in this pursuit, meets the standard of false prophet in Islam; this is an egregious blasphemy.
The man behind the effort to build the temple is Yisrayl Hawkins, a cult leader and self-proclaimed prophet who heads House of Yahweh in Abilene, Texas. To better understand the partnership between Malik and Hawkins, it was reported by Shoebat.com. Hawkins founded Peaceful Solution, an organization Malik lists as a ‘partner organization’ on his website.
According to the narrator in the video above, during a 2010 speech at the first annual Global Conference on Peace, Malik Obama can be heard saying the following about the third temple:
“It’s easy for me to get with the program because I’m a Muslim, a practicing Muslim, and all of the principles that are within the program are not in conflict with my beliefs. So, it’s easy for me to step right in and be part of the program.”

Aside from such advocacy being blasphemous to his own religion, one month earlier, Malik was in Sanaa, Yemen at an Orphans Development Fund (ODF) Conference. While there, Malik was photographed wearing a Hamas scarf that said in part:
“Jerusalem is ours… Palestine: From the River to the Sea.”
This certainly doesn’t square with his desire for a peaceful solution that includes helping what Islam considers to be a false prophet construct Jerusalem’s third Temple just a few steps from Islam’s third holiest site.
That certainly doesn’t sound like a recipe for a peaceful solution; it sounds like a recipe for disaster.

Tsephanyah Yisrayl Hawkins, 54, a high-ranking member of the House of Yahweh, was arrested after allegedly threatening to kill a judge and lawyers. Hawkins was charged in Callahan County for obstruction of justice and retaliation.
CALLAHAN COUNTY, Texas - A member of the House of Yahweh is facing criminal charges for threatening to kill a judge and lawyers.
The man – identified as 54-year-old Tsephanyah Yisrayl Hawkins – has been charged in Callahan County for obstruction of justice and retaliation.
A complaint filed by Texas Ranger Danny Crawford alleges Hawkins intentionally and knowingly threatened to kill 42nd District Judge John Weeks.
The complaint also says Hawkins, a high-ranking member of the House of Yahweh, threatened members of a Dallas law firm of Chamblee Ryan in almost 100 emails. The 96 emails, according to court documents, were sent between 3:33 p.m. and 9:36 p.m. on March 27.
The Dallas law firm is representing the House of Yahweh in a civil lawsuit.
The opposing counsel in that lawsuit was also the target of many of Hawkins' threats.
“The emails threaten bodily harm to all parties involved, some threatening the parties with being shot, some threatening harm by knife and some by explosion,” Crawford said in the complaint.
In an email that was sent at 5:50 p.m., Crawford said Hawkins wrote: “I’ll kill the judge too. I know where he lives. Try me.”
Crawford said one of the Dallas firm’s lawyers contacted the Dallas Police Department and filed a report. That is when the Dallas Police Department contacted the Abilene Police Department and notified of the threat to Judge Weeks’ life.
The charges against Hawkins are a third-degree felony.

According to KTXS 12 in Abilene, a Texas Ranger filed a complaint against the cult leader, alleging that…

One day later, on March 28th, a press release was issued that announced Malik Obama would be attending a Convention being held by the founder of the House of Yahweh, Yisrayl Hawkins. The event was billed as being put on by the Peaceful Solution Character Education, a sister organization of the House of Yahweh. As Shoebat.com has reported, the “peaceful solution” involves a plan to construct the ‘Third Temple” on the Temple Mount, adjacent and to the north of the Dome of the Rock.

While Tsephanyah Yisrayl Hawkins and Pastor Yisrayl Hawkins have extremely similar names, it is not known how or if the two men are related but they now both have criminal arrests in their pasts. In 2008, Pastor Hawkins was charged with bigamy and forced child labor but managed to escape a prison sentence after pleading no contest to four counts of forced child labor and having the bigamy charges dropped.

Federal judge slams Holder for ‘unprecedented instruction’ he had ‘no authority to establish’

Federal-Judge_slams-on-holder-THUMBA federal judge criticized Attorney General Eric Holder for directing prosecutors to pursue shorter prison sentences for drug crimes before new guidelines for sentencing had been approved.
The U.S. Sentencing Commission approved the reduced sentences for federal drug trafficking offenses on Thursday. Holder endorsed the move last month, and the Justice Department instructed prosecutors not to object if defendants sought the newly-proposed guidelines during sentencing.
The Justice Department’s eagerness to apply more lenient sentencing before it had been approved through the appropriate channels frustrated commission member Judge William H. Pryor Jr., despite his support for the reform.
“I regret that, before we voted on the amendment, the Attorney General instructed Assistant United States Attorneys across the Nation not to object to defense requests to apply the proposed amendment in sentencing proceedings going forward,” he said Thursday.
“That unprecedented instruction disrespected our statutory role, ‘as an independent commission in the judicial branch,’ to establish sentencing policies and practices under the Sentencing Reform Act of 1984… and the role of Congress, as the legislative branch, to decide whether to revise, modify, or disapprove our proposed amendment…We do not discharge our statutory duty until we vote on a proposed amendment, and Congress, by law, has until November 1 to decide whether our proposed amendment should become effective.”
“The law provides the Executive no authority to establish national sentencing policies based on speculation about how we and Congress might vote on a proposed amendment,” Pryor’s continued.
“I appreciate the Attorney General’s personal appearance before the Commission last month and his helpful comments in support of this amendment, but I hope that we can avoid, in the future, the kind of improper instruction that he sent federal prosecutors before we voted on the amendment.”
Despite Pryor’s misgivings, the commission’s vote Thursday was good news for Holder.
“This action by the U.S. Sentencing Commission represents a milestone in our effort to reshape the criminal justice system’s approach to dealing with drug offenders,” he said in a statement calling on Congress to legislation that would help reduce the prison population.

After the federal Bureau of Land Management agents backed down from their intimidating stance at the Bundy Ranch last weekend, ample evidence has surfaced indicating the standoff between the government and the Nevada ranching family is far from over. Throughout the weeklong stalemate, members of the Bundy family were physically assaulted by armed officers, numerous cows were shot dead, and protesters faced threats of gunfire for merely expressing their outrage.
Immediately after what many considered a victory against a tyrannical federal agency, a number of leftist voices – most notably, Sen. Harry Reid – indicated the action against this family will continue.
In response, Texas Republican Rep. Steve Stockman sent a letter to Barack Obama, Department of the Interior Sec. Sally Jewell, and BLM Director Neil Kornze, laying out his position that any such action by the agency would violate the U.S. Constitution.
“Because of this standoff,” he wrote, “I have looked into BLM’s authority to conduct such paramilitary raids against American citizens, and it appears that BLM is acting in a lawless manner in Nevada.”
He cited the limited powers granted to the federal government, noting the bureau has no “right to assume preemptory police powers, that role being reserved to the States,” and explained “many federal laws require the federal government to seek assistance from local law enforcement whenever the use of force may become necessary.”
The letter included a section of the U.S. Code — 43 U.S.C. Section 1733, Subsection C — stating exactly that point. [Emphasis Stockman's]
“When the Secretary determines that assistance is necessary in enforcing Federal laws and regulations relating to the public lands or their resources he shall offer a contract to appropriate local officials having law enforcement authority within their respective jurisdictions with the view of achieving maximum feasible reliance upon local law enforcement officials in enforcing such laws and regulations.”
In the case of the Bundy Ranch, he continued, “the relevant local law enforcement officials appear to be the Sheriff of Clark County, Nevada, Douglas C. Gillespie.”
Gillespie, however, conspicuously took a back seat to BLM forces during the standoff.
“Indeed,” Stockman wrote, “the exact type of crisis that the federal government has provoked at the Bundy ranch is the very type of incident that Congress knew could be avoided by relying on local law enforcement officials.”
The stated purpose of the correspondence is for the Obama administration “to bring the BLM into compliance with 43 U.S.C. section 1733.”
Absent a full investigation into the agency’s actions, he concluded, “the federal government must not only stand down, but remove all federal personnel from anywhere near the Bundy ranch.”
Legislators and law enforcement personnel have stood alongside state militia members and the Bundy family in opposing the excessive force employed by the BLM. Stockman’s letter adds even more weight to the growing sentiment against the federal overreach.

Reid on cattle ranch dispute: 'It’s not over'Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) intensified his criticism of armed militia members supporting rancher Cliven Bundy, calling them “domestic terrorists.”
“They’re nothing more than domestic terrorists,” Reid said Thursday at an event hosted by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, according to the newspaper. “I repeat: what happened there was domestic terrorism.”
Reid specifically criticized Bundy supporters for bringing guns and their children to the ranch to defend him against the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). BLM officials and contractors started rounding up Bundy’s cattle last week because of his refusal to pay $1 million in grazing fees, but they backed down Saturday due to safety concerns.
Bundy does not recognize the federal government’s authority over the land and said his family’s cattle have grazed there for generations, before the bureau existed.
“Clive Bundy does not recognize the United States,” Reid said. “The United States, he says, is a foreign government. He doesn’t pay his taxes. He doesn’t pay his fees. And he doesn’t follow the law. He continues to thumb his nose at authority.”
Earlier this week, Reid accused Bundy of trying to break the law and get away with it. “It’s not over,” he said Monday.
Republican leaders and potential GOP presidential candidates have largely stayed silent on the dispute.

White House spokesman Jay Carney confirmed that CIA Director John Brennan visited Ukrainian capital Kiev over the weekend and met with high-ranked Ukrainian officials.

Previously, deposed Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich accused Brennan of ordering a crackdown on pro-Russian activists in the east of the country.

The CIA had already dismissed these accusations as "completely false", but did not disclose whether its chief had actually been to Kiev - until now.

"We don't normally comment on the CIA director's travel but given the extraordinary circumstances in this case and the false claims being leveled by the Russians at the CIA we can confirm that the director was in Kiev as part of a trip to Europe," White House spokesman Jay Carney told reporters.

Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had also demanded an explanation about the nature of the visit.

"Senior level visits of intelligence officials are a standard means of fostering mutually beneficial security cooperation including U.S.-Russian intelligence collaboration going back to the beginnings of the post-Cold War era," Carney explained.

"U.S. and Russian intelligence officials have met over the years. To imply that U.S. officials meeting with their counterparts is anything other than in the same spirit is absurd."

In an interview aired on Russian state television on Sunday, Yanukovich, who has been in southern Russia since fleeing Ukraine in February, said that Brennan had "sanctioned the use of weapons and provoked bloodshed."

"The US bears its share of responsibility for starting a civil war in Ukraine, not only through diplomatic influence, but its security forces, which do not only meddle, but issue orders," said the Ukrainian politician.

On Monday, Aleksandr Yakimenko, the head of Ukraine's security service, the SBU, during Yanukovich's term went one step further, and said that his successor, Valentin Nalivaychenko, is a double agent working for the CIA.

"Nalivaychenko was recruited by the US when he was Ukraine's Consul General in Washington [2001-2003]," said Yakimenko, for whom an arrest warrant has been issued in Kiev since he left the country last month, while speaking to Russia's Channel One.

"The US is currently creating a sort of controlled chaos that is helping to blow up the bridges between Russia and Ukraine."

Acting President Aleksandr Turchinov has announced that "an anti-terrorist operation" will be carried out against armed protesters, who have occupied government buildings in the Russian-speaking east of the country.

Gunfire has already been exchanged in the provincial city of Slavyansk, resulting in the death of at least one Ukrainian soldier.

Turchinov insists that the protesters are led and funded by Russian security services, and says that Moscow is executing "the Crimean scenario" that will lead to the secession of eastern territories from Ukraine. He has requested a UN intervention in the region.

Discovery of Comet LINEAR (209P/LINEAR)

Comet LINEAR could refer to any one of the hundreds of comets discovered by Lincoln Near Earth Asteroid Research (LINEAR) at MIT. It is one of the few systems in the world, which is an automated detection system. A telescope and computers collect, analyze and sort data. The system has detected 2,423 Near Earth Objects (NEOs), including 279 comets.

On February 3, 2004, a moving object was detected by LINEAR in five images. Since it did not have a coma, it was initially classified as a minor planet and given the desgination 2004 CB. On March 30, 2004 Robert McNaught observed a tail developing from 2004 CB (McNaught and Kocer, 2004). It was a comet. It was given the permanent desgination of 209P/LINEAR, on December 12, 2008, after its periodic orbit of 5.04 years was confirmed. It was classified as a Jupiter-Family Comet (JFC). It's next perihelion will occur on May 6, 2014. Its perihelion will be 0.969 AU from the Sun with Earth not far behind (Nakano).

Meteor Shower or Meteor Storm from Comet LINEAR in May 2014

The list of meteor showers hasn't changed very much over the past several decades. In May of 2014, we may be adding to that list.

Earth will pass .0002 AU from the dust trail of Comet 209P / LINEAR around 7:00 UT/GMT on May 24, 2014 (Jenniskens, 2006). Jenniskens suggested it would cause a meteor shower of a dozen or so meteors. His calculations were confirmed independently (Vaubaillon 2012, Maslov 2013).

According to Vaubaillon, Earth will pass through the dust trail left by Comet 209P / LINEAR during its orbits from 1803 to 1924, but predicted the meteor shower will be much more intense. He suggested there could be anywhere between 100 and 400 meteors an hour. Maslov, although cautiously predicting 100 meteors an hour, had this to say, "It is difficult to estimate expected intensity of the outburst due to the lack of past observed cases of activity from the given comet meteor shower, as well as due to very small size of the comet itself and unknown level of its past activity … and it is very possible that real activity will turn to be much higher. Storm levels are also far from being excluded." Maslov suggested that the vast majority of the meteors will be from the 1898-1919 dust trails.

Other astrophysicists predict around 200 meteors an hour (Ye and Wiegart, 2013). Ye and Weigart believe Earth will travel through the dust trail left by Comet 209P / LINEAR during orbits in 1798, 1803, 1868, 1878, 1883, 1924, 1954, 1964 and 1979. They further suggest that, during its previous apparitions, Comet 209P/LINEAR shed relatively large particles that will result in relatively bright meteors when Earth passes through the dust trails on May 24, 2014. The meteor shower will occur in Camelopardalis, a constellation close to the north celestial pole (Ye and Wiegart, 2013). If it did, the meteor shower would be known as the Camelopardalids.

The best place to observe the expected Camelopardalid Meteor Shower, or meteor storm, will be in the Northwestern United States and Southern Canada away from city lights with a clear view of the northern sky (B. Berard, 2013) around 07:30 GMT / UT (3:30 AM ET / 12:30 PCT). The moon will be a waning crescent, just four days from being a new moon.

A Closer Look at Some Comets that will reach Perihelion in 2014

Between one hundred billion and two trillion comets are thought to exist in our solar system. As of March 9, 2014, only 3,790 comets have been observed and named. Let's take a closer look at some comets that may be visible to the naked eye in 2014 or are otherwise newsworthy.


Comet Neujmin 2    
On February 24, 1916, George van Biesbroeck (Yerkes Observatory) spotted a comet with an apparent magnitude of 11. It was a Jupiter-Family comet with an orbit of 5.43 years. This comet has not been observed since its apparition in 1927. Due to its disappearance, it's known as 25D / Nuejmin 2, meaning it's a "lost" comet.
 
Comet Holmes    
Over the course of 42 hours in October of 2007, Comet Holmes (17P/Holmes) became a half million times brighter on its way to becoming the largest object in the solar system - larger than the Sun, or Brad Pitt's ego, if only for a brief time. Holmes is one of the more prominent comets in 2014.
 
Comet 209P / Linear    
Russian astronomer, Mikhail Maslov, believes Earth will pass through the tail of Comet 209P / LINEAR between 7:00 and 8:00 UT on May 24, 2014. It could result in a meteor storm producing between 100 and 400 meteors an hour. Viewing conditions will be particular good in Canada and the United States. Circle this date on your calendar.
 
Comet Faye    
Comey Faye (4P/Faye) was discovered in 1844 by a French astronomer. It was the first periodic comet to be named after its discoverer and not the individual who determined its orbit. This comet will reach perihelion a couple days after Comet Holmes in 2014.
 
Comet Brooks 2    
The fragmentation of Comet Brooks 2 is believed to have been caused by a close pass to Jupiter in 1886, when it passed .001 AU from Jupiter. The gravity of the planet tore the comet into fragments. The fragmented comet was observed for the first time, in recorded history, three years later on July 7, 1889.
 
Comet 289P / Blanpain    
On November 28, 1819 Jean-Jacques Blanpain discovered a comet. It was designated C / 1819 W1. After this apparition the comet was "lost" and remained unobserved for nearly 200 years. In 2005, a recently discovered asteroid matched the orbital path and period of C/1819 W1. It also had a faint coma, meaning it probably was an nearly-exhausted comet. The object was officially renamed Comet 289P / Blanpain in July of 2013.
 
Comet Siding Spring    
There is currently a 1 and 120,000 chance that Comet Siding Spring (C/2013 A1) will hit Mars on October 19, 2014. Based on Leonid Elenin's recent observations, Comet Siding Spring will pass 0.000276 AU (41,300 km, 25,700 miles) from the surface of Mars. For comparison, the average distance between the Earth and Moon is .00257 AU (384,400 km, 238,900 miles).
 
Comet Finlay    
On October 27, 2060 Comet Finlay will pass 0.048 AU from Earth (JPL, 2014). That's the equivalent of 4,500,000 miles or 7,200,000 kilometers. For reference, the average distance between Earth and the Moon is 0.002 AU.
 
SOHO Comets    
Dozens of tiny, sungrazing comets are expected to return to tightly orbit the Sun in 2014 or end their lives in its corona. These comets will probably only be observable from space observatories like SOHO and LASCO. The general public can comb through movies and images captured by SOHO, attempting to discover comets in 2014.

In the Northern Hemishpere, it keeps observable in the morning sky until July. In the Southern Hemisphere, it keeps observable in good condition for a long time until the comet fades out.

After the perihelion passage, it will be observable in excellent condition after late July in the Northern Hemisphere. In the Southern Hemisphere, it keeps unobservable until early September.

But in the Northern Hemisphere, it keeps observable in excellent condition from autumn to spring. It locates somewhat low in the Southern Hemisphere.

It will pass extremely close to Mars in 2014 October.

Now it is 17.1 mag (Apr. 6, Mitsunori Tsumura). It will approach to the earth down to 0.06 a.u. from May to June, and it is expected to brighten up to 11 mag. In the Northern Hemisphere, it keeps observable in excellent condition until the highlight in late May while the comet will be brightening rapidly. In the Southern Hemisphere, it is not observable now. But it will be observable in mid May. Then it keeps observable in excellent condition at the highlight and after that while the comet will be fading.

Recovered at 18.7 mag on Apr. 9 by Martin Masek. It brightened up to 9 mag at the discovery in 2005. It will approach to the sun down to 0.8 a.u. on May 29. It became much brighter than expected, and reached up to 8.5 mag (Aug. 15, Alexandre Amorim). Now it is fading rapidly. It has already faded down to 16.3 mag (Mar. 30, Taras Prystavski). In the Southern Hemisphere, it will keep observable in good condition for a long time until 2014 summer when the comet fades out. It will never be observable again in the Northern Hemisphere.

It brightened very rapidly, and brightened up to 10.5 mag from autumn to winter. Now it is fading. It has already faded down to 17.3 mag (Mar. 23, A. Klotz, F. Kugel). However, Sandor Szabo reported it was visible visually at 13.5 mag on Mar. 28. In the Northern Hemisphere, it keeps observable in excellent condition until May when it becomes fainter than 18 mag. It will not be observable after this in the Southern Hemisphere.
