Shooting reported at Louisville, Ky. high school
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - A
Kentucky high school was placed on lockdown Tuesday after one student
was shot and injured, a police spokesperson says, according to CBS affiliate WLKY.
Louisville Metro Police Department spokeswoman Alicia Smiley told the station one student was shot at Fern Creek High School in Louisville and that the student's injuries were not life threatening.
WLKY reports police and other first responders have been in and out of the school and someone on a stretcher was loaded onto an ambulance.
Authorities received a call reporting shots fired at the school shortly after 1 p.m. Tuesday.
No other information was immediately available.
