Congressman Trey Gowdy (R-SC), who chairs the House Select Committee on Benghazi, has been relentless in his attempt to find out the truth surrounding the 2012 attack that resulted in the deaths of 4 Americans.
And though the issue may have taken a backseat to the numerous other scandals and crises covered by the media, he has made clear that he will not rest until justice is served.
Gowdy released the following statement on Friday, which shouldn’t cast any doubt as to whether the GOP’s “Attack Dog” will ever stop pursuing the truth:
“The Committee has heard of these concerns and they go to the heart of why Congress established this Committee – to determine all of the facts of what happened in Benghazi before, during, and after the terrorist attack that day.

We welcome the opportunity, and expect, to talk to personnel who were on the ground in Benghazi, their superiors, and anyone with relevant information related to the Benghazi terrorist attack.

There are still facts to learn about Benghazi and information that needs to be explained in greater detail to the American people. And this Committee will do just that.”
Certain possible 2016 presidential candidates may have been hoping that America has forgotten about the unanswered and unsolved terrorist attack almost two years ago.
But Rep. Gowdy is un-apologetically holding feet to the fire in his quest to bring answers to the American people.
