James Foley’s Brother: I Was “Specifically Threatened By State Department” Against Raising Private Funds To Rescue Him..Update: Foley Family Was Threatened With Criminal Prosecution By State Department
One can understand and appreciate the concept of not paying a ransom, not negotiating with terrorists.
But Obama apparently picks and chooses when to negotiate with terrorists, choosing to do so in the case of Bowe Bergdahl, and not in the case of James Foley, as his brother points out.
Indeed, in the Foley case, as his brother notes, the State Department not only didn’t help, but went so far as to specifically threaten him when he and his family tried to raise private funds to rescue his brother. He does not elaborate further on the nature of those threats but said he was “appalled” by the regime’s approach.
Update:
My gosh, we really employ this kind of a State Department? Apparently they threatened the Foley family with criminal prosecution, according to James Foley’s father.
Meanwhile, Obama negotiates with terrorists and trades terrorists for Bowe Bergdahl, and has his family to the Rose Garden to invoke the blessings of Allah….
