In the ensuing crisis happening in the Middle East, sadly, the first Israeli has been killed due to a Hamas rocket near the Gaza border, according to the Jerusalem Post.

BREAKING: An Israeli civilian was critically wounded by a rocket that struck the Erez crossing on the Gaza border.

Update: The Israeli civilian who was injured at the Erez crossing has died of his wounds.

According to Jerusalem Post, the Israeli civilian was killed by a fragment from a mortar shell. Chanin had come to volunteer at Erez, the northern part of the Gaza Strip, by giving food to the soldiers.
