UPDATE:  Police insist the 11 were arrested but not associated with Flt 370, while a government source says it was.  We will update again when we have a definite answer everyone agrees with. The New York Post is also reporting the terrosists are being questioned in regard to this matter. Their story can be found here.
Eleven terrorists with ties to Al Qaeda were arrested in the capital Kuala Lumpur and in the state of Kedah last week.  Their arrests were requested by the FBI and M16, in connection with the missing airliner, Flight 370.  The suspects range in age from 22 to 55.  The aircraft which was lost two months ago has still not been found is also said to have been carry freight that was not on the manifest.  This includes lithium batteries, which we knew about previously, but also included allegedly, mangosteens, an exotic fruit and “radio accessories.”

An officer  with the Malaysian Counter Terrorism Division of the Special Branch said that the arrests bolster the theory that the plane was hijacked.  The secret may lie in what freight the airline was actually carrying.  Authorities aren’t talking, but sources say the eleven are being questioned extensively on Flight 370.  The same officer has said that the suspects have admitted to sustained attacks in Malaysia, but deny any connection to the disappearance of Flight 370.
During the trial of Osama bin Laden’s son in law, Sulaiman Abu Ghaith, Saajid Badat testified that he was given orders to give the Malaysians a shoe bomb.  He said he believes they wanted it to access the cockpit of a plane.  Badat, who is in hiding in the U.K., said that the man behind the Malaysian plot was Khalid Sheik Mohammed, the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks. There is a deepening mystery on the freight being carried by the ill fated plane.  Although it was on the plane, it was not on the manifest.  According to the Malaysian airline, there were 4.566 tons of mangosteens as well as a shipment of lithium batteries.  Lithium batteries are good for creating bombs because of their tendency to overheat and catch fire.  (Remember the GM Volt?)  The airline says that the batteries weighed 200kg but the total weight was was much more and the question becomes, what was the other 2.453 tons of freight?
Airline officials say they will not reveal the answer to that question.  It could be that it would be incriminating to the company or that the FBI and M16 have requested that information not be released.
“I cannot reveal more because of the ongoing investigations.  We have been told by our legal advisers not to talk about it.”
They refused to name the manufacturer of the batteries but did add later that the other 2.453 tons were radio parts and chargers.  Planes are allowed to carry lithium batteries, despite the possibility of them causing a fire.  The shipment was allegedly going to a company called NNR Global Logistics in Beijing, but was being picked up by JHJ International Transportation Co, LTD.
Conspiracy theorists point out that 20 of the passengers were employees of an American company named Freestyle Semiconductor of Texas, although the employees were not Americans.  Freestyle manufacture semiconductors used in weaponry.  They say their expertise includes radar cloaking devices.
