Forty new ships and logistics vessels will be supplied to Russia's Northern Fleet by 2020, including six nuclear and conventional submarines, fleet commander Admiral Vladimir Korolyov said on Tuesday.
"It is planned to replenish the Northern Fleet with new
vessels and upgrade those in service by 2020 as part of the state
armaments program," Koroloyov told a conference at the Federation

equipment should reach 50 percent. By 2020, it has to rise to 85
percent."
"Over this period, defense firms will deliver
to the Northern Fleet six multi-role nuclear and conventional
submarines, two large landing vessels, a fleet destroyer, five frigates,
five trawlers and 21 logistics vessels," the admiral said.
