Hussein's comments came during a visit to the headquarters of the
organization, during which he met Assistant Secretary-General for
Political Affairs, Ambassador Abdullah Abdul Rahman world, where he
discussed with him issues of the Middle East, and relations between the
organization and the administration of U.S. President Barack Obama.
Hussein also discussed with Assistant Secretary General for Palestine
and Jerusalem Affairs, Ambassador Samir Bakr, the Middle East,
especially the settlement issue, and the transfer of U.S. envoy to the
point of view of U.S. President Barack Obama regarding ongoing
developments in the peace process in the region.
On the other hand, Rashad Hussain discussed the issue of activating the
Convention against polio in the Muslim world, and concluded with the
organization, in addition to activating the Convention on health care
for the mother and child in the countries of the Islamic world.
Hussein's visit to the headquarters of the Organization the second
since he took office, and his first visit had coincided with a visit by
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who last met in February,
Secretary-General of the Organization, Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu.

international forums such as the United Nations and others.

need for coordination in several areas, most notably the follow-up
implementation of the program to eradicate polio in Islamic countries,
and health care maternal and child health, and to provide the correct
image of Islam and counter Islamophobia.
