Late Tuesday, February 11, a group of respected former national security leaders and officials presented evidence against Grover Norquist (President of Americans for Tax Reform) and Suhail Kahn (Board of Directors of the American Conservative Union (ACU) of having ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.

According to Breitbart, the 45-page dossier was issued to ACU lawyer Cleta Mitchell, “who in 2011 cleared Norquist of the allegations initially brought by former high-ranking Reagan official Frank Gaffney”.  Signatories include Attorney General Michael Mukasey, former CIA Director James Woolsey, former Florida Rep. Allen West, retired Army Lt. Gen. Jerry Boykin, and former chief assistant U.S. attorney Andrew McCarthy.   

Breitbart reported that Dan Schneider, the executive director of the ACU, told Breitbart that he is reviewing the report, adding, “But let me be clear, Suhail Khan and Grover Norquist are board members in good standing. They have been positive contributors to the conservative movement for a long time and their efforts must not be diminished.”

In an exclusive interview for PolitiChicks.tv, Frank Gaffney discussed the new presentation of evidence against Kahn and Norquist.
A-M: Cleta Mitchell is again denying all of your findings and claiming you have a ‘personal vendetta’ against Norquist and Kahn.  What is different today than it was when you first presented evidence to the ACU?
Frank Gaffney:  The most important thing that I would argue is that we have seen these ten influential national security figures transmit to the ACU board a dossier of factual irrefutable information that makes plain that not only were the charges that I have provided for better part of 16 years have grounding in fact but also that they think the ACU should on the basis of this dossier revisit the blanket endorsement they gave to their members, Suhail Kahn and Grover Norquist.
A-M: Dan Schneider told Breitbart that they would examine your report for any “new information”.  What does this mean to you and do think they will take your report seriously? 
Frank Gaffney:  I don’t know. I’ve spoken with him briefly and he has told me that he will in fact go through this material.  You know, candidly, he’s a new executive director of this association; he wasn’t there when the board considered our resolution.  I think it’s understandable for a new guy to assume that what was done in that earlier period was a rigorous examination of the facts leading to this sweeping endorsement (of Norquist and Kahn) but that’s not the case.
To the best of my knowledge, none of the members of the board did more due diligence than Mitchell’s statement that she had done ‘fair and substantial due diligence’.  If I didn’t know anything about the factual nature of this case and I had somebody who was a board member with Cleta Mitchell’s stature, telling me in the most categorical terms imaginable that there was no evidence to support this person who is not on the board, who I may not know, I myself may have voted for the resolution endorsing our colleagues (Norquist and Kahn) and criticized the other individual.
The truth of the matter is, in the absence of a serious examination of the actual facts, they were misled.  And it’s now time to renew this because what we’ve seen in the past week is the fruit of the kind of work that Suhail Kahn has been doing inside the US government, and that is the announcement by the president through his Homeland Security and State Department that just because you’ve been involved in running ‘a little bit’ of material support to terrorism that should not preclude you from gaining asylum in this country.  Suhail Kahn has been working to eviscerate our material support to terrorism for years and I think thanks to his work and that of another prominent Muslim Brotherhood activist, Mohammad Magid, they’ve made a substantial inroad in that direction with this announcement by the president.  This has to be addressed and challenged and, I hope, undone so that this kind of operation won’t be allowed by someone who confesses to be a conservative activist.
A-M:  You’ve got some major heavy-hitters backing you this time:  Attorney General Michael Mukasey, former CIA Director James Woolsey, former Florida Rep. Allen West, retired Army Lt. Gen. Jerry Boykin, and former chief assistant U.S. attorney Andrew McCarthy.  These men have obviously studied your findings and found them to be true.  What type of outcome are you hoping for this time? 
Frank Gaffney:  My feeling about this is they’ve done what they needed to do, which was to assure, by virtue of their prestige, their integrity, their substantive knowledge of national security that this information cannot be suppressed, ignored, or mischaracterized as it has been to date.  And my hope is the ACU board will do what I think its judiciary responsibilities requires, as far as its more general responsibility, and that is to reconsider an action taken in haste on the basis of erroneous representations and thereby remove a bit of the stain from the organization, and hopefully set the stage for the corrective action that should be taken by the conservative movement more generally, with respect to the folks who have been aiding and abetting declared enemies of the United States.
As I said to Cleta Mitchell on numerous occasions, I don’t believe for a minute that she investigated these facts.  Even if she did, she doesn’t see them as facts.  She sees them as some circumstantial intonation that has no relevance to Suhail Kahn.  She actually said that the quote (in which Suhail Kahn, on video, declares that he has ‘devoted his life to the Ummah, the Muslim Nation’ and asked rhetorically, ‘What are our oppressors going to do with people like us who love death more than they love life?’) has no bearing on whether this individual is actually, as was true of his parents, as has been true of him throughout his career, tied to and involved with and I think advancing the interest of the Muslim Brotherhood organizations in this country.
Another thing worth noting is Mitchell’s exact quote:  ‘The fact that these luminaries would allow themselves to get dragged into the internal debate within conservative organizations is really odd.  If they are concerned about national security, they have better things to do than write me a letter.’  This s the way she has cast this, that this is just some personality dispute within conservative organizations, which, by the way, she has worked vitally to banish me in the interest of suppressing information.  She has no knowledge of national security; she evidently has no appreciation of national security and she certainly is misrepresenting what this is about.  This isn’t about some internal debate within conservative organizations.  First and foremost, this is the threat to the national security to the United States and it is a threat that unfortunately, her false representations have enabled to continue now for years.  And that’s why these ‘luminaries’ as she put it have become involved in the hopes of correcting what is fundamentally a national security problem.  And I hope it will be seen by the board and treated as such.

Christian Militia Could Wipe Out Central African Republic's Muslim Population, Says Human Rights Group

Christian militia taking revenge on the Central African Republic's Muslim population could drive the entire Islamic group out of the country, a human rights group claimed earlier this week.

The anti-balaka ("anti-machete") has increasingly fought back against the country's minority Muslim population since the Muslim Seleka rebel group antagonized the country's Christians.

Human Rights Watch employees in the Central African Republic have claimed to have witnessed anti-balaka forces cutting "the throats of Muslim civilians, publicly lynching, mutilating, and setting their bodies on fire." It also reported attacks where the groups had cut off body parts or hacked Muslims to death.

It pointed to Yaloké, which prior to the arrival of anti-balaka forces boasted an estimated Muslim population of 30,000 and eight mosques. Now, it is reported that the town has only one mosque and 500 Muslims. Many Muslim homes in the area were also looted by members of the Christian militia.

The report also listed four other former "Muslim strongholds" that were now totally devoid of residents and whose shops and business have been looted by anti-balaka forces.

Peter Bouckaert, Emergencies director at HRW, said there is a good chance that such terrors will drive out a Muslim population which has lived for hundreds of years in the region.

"At this rate, if the targeted violence continues, there will be no Muslims left in much of the Central African Republic. People whose families have peacefully lived in the country for centuries are being forced to leave, or are fleeing the very real threat of violence against them," he said in a statement.

HRW has said the type of language that the anti-balaka groups were using "suggests their intent is to eliminate Muslim residents from the Central African Republic." However, he added that so far the group has not used any religious language to try and justify its actions.

Instead, they claim that they are responding to Seleka attacks that occurred after the group seized power in "March 2013, and carried out a campaign of executions, indiscriminate killings, village burnings, and rape that plunged the country into chaos and displaced nearly a quarter of the country's majority Christian population."

Bouckaert said that regardless of motive, the anti-balaka were finding success at removing their former aggressors.

"Whether the anti-balaka leaders are pursuing a deliberate policy of ethnic cleansing or exacting abusive collective punishment against the Muslim population, the end result is clear: the disappearance of longstanding Muslim communities," Bouckaert said.

Not all Christians have aligned themselves with the anti-balaka.

Father Fagba and his congregation in the town of Boali have opened the doors of their church as a sanctuary to hundreds of desperate Muslims.

Roughly 650 Muslims arrived seeking shelter almost a month ago and have not left — convinced that they will be killed if they step beyond the church grounds.

Fagba told the BBC that the community offered little support for him in his decision to harbor Muslims.

"When I did this, nobody in the community understood me. They attacked and threatened me," he said.

Part of their grudge may be because some of the people Fagba is harboring are only several months removed from terrorizing the country's Christian population.

"I've spoken to those who have done bad things. But I have not mentioned their deeds," he said.

"When I talk to them it's a call for them to change their lives and their behaviour," he added.

Fagba said that it was vital that Christians live out their beliefs in the midst of the violence and terror.

"Now is the time for men of good will to stand up and prove the strength and quality of their faith," said Fagba.
The Central African Republic has a population of 4.5 million. Of that, 50 percent of the country is Christian, 15 percent Muslim and those with indigenous beliefs make up 35 percent.

Success of Navy SEAL movies has Hollywood looking for more

LOS ANGELES –  Following the box office success of “Lone Survivor,” based off Marcus Luttrell’s 2007 best-seller of the same name about the tragic 2005 Operation Red Wings in Afghanistan, studios are looking for more real-life accounts of SEALs to turn into big budget movies.
A film adaptation of “American Sniper,” a memoir by the highly decorated Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, who was killed last year after it's publication, was acquired by Warner Bros. Clint Eastwood is attached as director.
Sources tell FOX411 that Steven Spielberg, who was first attached to direct Kyle's story, as well as Michael Bay, have also been looking at similar projects involving military memoirs.
Producer Mark Joseph says there is a growing consensus in Hollywood that “films that portray the military positively should be developed and green lit… There is an audience for them.”
“Lone Survivor,” which struggled initially to secure financing, has gone on to make almost $115 million at the domestic box office, off of an estimated $40 million production budget.
2012’s “Act of Valor,” which was the first of its kind to cast real SEALs as opposed to actors, made more than $70 million domestically from a $12 million budget.
Luttrell said the difference between a book's reach and a movie's is vast. "No matter how many times I get up and tell (my story), or how many people read the book, it’s nothing compared to how many people will watch this film," he said.
Retired SEAL Brandon Tyler Webb, the author of the best seller "The Red Circle," and editor-in-chief of SOFREP.com, a site dedicated to Special Operations news, stressed the importance of striking the fine balance between entertainment and authenticity.
“It is important to tell these stories and show the sacrifices and give audiences a window into what it is really like,” he explained. “But it has to be done carefully, because people take what they see or read as the truth.”
Another recent book release we’ve learned is generating attention in Hollywood is Eric Blehm’s bestseller “Fearless.” It tells the true story of SEAL Team Six operator Adam Brown, who died in combat in 2010.
“Adam wanted people to know that he was a crack addict and a felon before he became a SEAL, a man of faith, a father and a husband who rose to the top tier of our military. He made it through the top secret clearance to qualify, even with a shot out eye and severed fingers (to join) our most coveted counter terrorism unit,” Blehm said. “He was both tough as nails on the battlefield, but a teddy bear of a dad and a loving husband. In all, a tender warrior.”
However, within much of the SEAL community, there is still great hesitancy with regards to the slew of books and films being written and made about their operations. After all, it is not a profession one seeks for fame or fortune.
“Glamorizing the job is not what we want, most SEALs do not want to see things that are self-serving and the Hollywood BS,” one of Brown’s former SEAL teammates, who asked to remain anonymous, said. “But Adam’s story is something else… he was ultimately the bravest and most fearless patriot I had met in my life.”
And despite Hollywood’s history of hesitancy with portraying devout Christianity, for Brown’s family, his devotion to God is the story. And that if his story makes it to be the big screen, that must be a big part of it.
“It was because of Adam’s faith that he got to where he was. We want people to realize there is hope, especially if you have got faith,” noted Adam’s father, Larry Brown, while Adam’s wife Kelley Brown – who stood by his side throughout his battles with addiction – concurred.
“A film version could impact others in ways that are unimaginable,” she said. “It brings us great joy to witness the path this has all taken, and we trust when it happens, it will be done right to honor Adam, his memory and what he and his fellow SEALs stand for.”

Rep. Gosar Co-Sponsors Bill to Prevent Arbitrary Rule-Making by the EPA
'This bill will eliminate the use of junk science at the EPA'

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, U.S. Congressman Paul A. Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-04) issued the following statement after announcing his co-sponsorship of the Secret Science Reform Act of 2014 (H.R.4012), legislation that would require the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to use public, reproducible science when proposing regulations:
“This bill will eliminate the use of junk science at the EPA, which frequently uses secret studies to justify regulations that fit their job-killing agenda. Not only does this practice result in a lack of transparency, it also leads to hundreds of thousands of jobs being killed across the country by unreasonable regulations. Additionally, hardworking taxpayers are left to pick up the tab for these expensive, and usually worthless, regulations. This bill simply requires the EPA to use scientific studies that are transparent and reproducible when justifying proposed regulations. Only in the federal bureaucracy do you have to legislate such commonsense requirements.”
BACKGROUND
The EPA regularly proposes regulations based on studies that are not transparent or reproducible. These regulations are often expensive and frequently destroy jobs. In August 2011, President Obama acknowledged in a letter to Speaker Boehner that four new proposed regulations from the EPA would each cost our economy at least a billion dollars annually. For example, the Regional Haze Regulation, part of the Clean Air Act, threatens 520 good-paying jobs in rural Arizona at the Navajo Generating Station (NGS). Besides being a critical employer to the area, NGS delivers more than 500 billion gallons of Colorado River water to more than 80 percent of Arizona’s population. Yet, most of the Clean Air Act regulations enacted under the Obama Administration - the very regulations that could close NGS - are justified based on nontransparent health data.
Rep. David Schweikert (AZ-06), who serves as Chairman of the Environment Subcommittee of the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology, introduced H.R.4012 to prohibit the EPA from proposing regulations based upon "secret science."
