N4T Investigators: Border Patrol stripping agents of their rifles

The News 4 Tucson Investigators have uncovered that some U.S. Border Patrol agents have lost a key part of their arsenal. And that has agents who patrol along the border here, extremely worried.
We learned that U.S. Customs and Border Protection's Offices of Border Patrol and Training and Development are inspecting the quality of agents' M4 carbines throughout Border Patrol sectors nationwide. But agents tell us, some of those M4s have not been replaced. And, we've learned, agents are required to share rifles amongst each other.
"There's a lot of agents that are pretty upset over it," said Art del Cueto, president of the Border Patrol's Tucson Sector union. "We know it's a dangerous job. We know what we signed on for but we want to have as much of the equipment as we need to perform the job."
The M4 carbine is used by the U.S. military and by Border Patrol agents. It's even used by the Border Patrol's tactical unit, BORTAC. Agent Brian Terry was carrying the M4 when he was shot and killed in December 2010.
Del Cueto tells us that because some of those M4s have not been replaced, agents are pooling their weapons, which makes it difficult to personalize the settings on a rifle, such as the sights.
"The problem is they are now pool guns so what happens is instead of having their individual ones they have sighted in they're having to use a pool weapon that you don't know who used it before you," del Cueto said.
Customs and Border Protection released a statement to the News 4 Tucson Investigators last week, stating: "CBP's Offices of Border Patrol and Training and Development are jointly inspecting the serviceability of M4 carbines throughout Border Patrol Sectors nationwide. Some of (the) inspected M4 carbines were deemed unserviceable and removed from inventory to alleviate safety concerns. Inspections will continue to ensure the unserviceable M4 carbines are repaired or replaced for reintroduction into the field. No further information is available at this time."
Santa Cruz County Sheriff Tony Estrada grew worried when told of the delay in redistributing rifles to agents.
"This is a concern for the officers and for the community as well," he said. "We want to make sure that they have all the equipment that they need to be able to provide the safest environment we possibly can."
Jeff Prather is a former drug enforcement agent who now runs the Warrior School in Tucson. He says agents have reached out to him about the rifle shortage.
He said agents stand the risk of being over-powered on the border.
"Cartels have always been better equipped, the paramilitary forces, the corrupt Mexican soldiers and federales at times," Prather said.
He says agents have contacted him and told him about their concerns about sharing the weapons.
"And now they're seriously concerned. Because if they're concerned enough to reach out and contact me and reach out so we get this message out, they are not only frustrated but they are in fear for their lives."
Prather believes removing some of the rifles maybe politically motivated. He says he was told that many of these guns are being removed for issues that are easily repaired like the firing pin and bolt.
He broke down a M4 as he spoke.
"This weapon is designed to be able to be in a battle situation, changed out rather quickly even so fast that modern weapons have areas to hold spare bolts," he said.
That makes him suspicious that the agency could be disarming its agents.
For now, union president Del Cueto says agents just want their rifles back.
"I hope they replace these weapons as soon as possible or give us some kind of answer as to how they plan on replacing them," he said.

The incoming governor of Texas delivered a stern warning to President Obama via Fox News on Monday, declaring any executive order on illegal aliens would produce a “tremendous backlash” across the country – not to mention another lawsuit from the Lone Star State.
In an interview, Gov.-elect Greg Abbott, the current attorney general, said Texas Obama’s frequent vows to invoke questionable executive power to change immigration law have forced Texans to prepare for yet another “surge” of illegals crossing from the south.
Texas has shouldered considerable expense dealing with the problem of illegal immigration that’s being worsened by the White House, Abbott said, and one horn of any lawsuit would be getting the federal government to pay for problems it’s causing.
But he said the larger point is that immigration laws are made by the country from Capitol Hill, not the White House.
“We’re expecting the White House will not cross the line,” he said. “If the president crosses the line, he’s going to see an overwhelming rejection of what he’s trying to do.”
Both the House and the newly Republican Senate will be pushing back against amnesty, Abbott said, and he predicted a “tremendous backlash” among Americans as a whole. Even Hispanics in Texas, he said, support a sensible immigration law that concentrates on border security.
“The first step is to secure the border,” he said. “As long as the president is inviting people to come here illegally, we will never see a secure border.”

“If the president crosses the line he’s going to see an overwhelming rejection of what he’s trying to do, so he better not overstep,” Abbott said, adding, “if he does, for one of course we’ll be involved with another lawsuit against him but [for] another you can expect quite a strong pushback [from the people].”
Abbott, and sitting governor Ricky Perry, face a difficult situation in the border state of Texas, made all the harder by the Obama administration’s utter refusal to enforce the law of the land.

But Obama can’t leave bad enough alone, and instead of simply being a non-actor who refuses to enforce the law, the president is determined to actually promote additional illegal immigration, approving programs that attract illegals and working on programs that will allow those illegals to stay once they get here.
Obama’s entire flawed worldview manifests in the illegals/amnesty issue. He has no respect for the rule of law. He doesn’t care about Americans. He wants to redistribute American wealth. And he believes his ideas are more important than those of the people he works for. He is completely self-centered and self-deluded.

Explicit: 11-12 year olds given sex toy lesson in Jacksonville

(Infowars) – Shocking images out of a classroom in Jacksonville, Florida illustrate how 11-12 year olds in 6th grade are being taught how to use strap-on dildos amidst a debate about Common Core sex education standards which have been attacked by some as pornographic.

The pictures were taken by a student with a cellphone camera. They show a teacher demonstrating how to use a strap-on sex toy in a number of different positions.

In one image, the teacher even shows how to insert the strap-on while her buttocks are in the air and her legs up over her head.

In another image, the woman shows the children how to wear a harness to which the strap-on is attached.

Clinton Middle School in Duval County hired 39-year-old Sharon Mercer to teach the sex education class but after the photos emerged she was suspended and the school refused further comment. Mercer claimed her suspension was an act of “bigotry” because she was a “proud member of the LGBTQ community.”

Newly implemented Common Core educational standards have been assailed for their attempt to create a lowest common denominator form of teaching which many assert only works to dumb down lessons and prevent smart students from excelling, but these images give a glimpse into an even darker side to the federally mandated rules.

The teaching of so-called “alternative” sexual lifestyles is mandated in many states under Common Core.

The Secrets of the Fed website also points to a book being given to 4th graders under new Common Core standards entitled It’s Perfectly Normal, which teaches children as young as nine how to masturbate.

Common Core, which is being federally imposed on states across the nation, is a huge shift in teaching which opponents assert will eviscerate critical thinking and generally lower standards in the name of inclusiveness and political correctness. Numerous examples have emerged of Common Core style exam questions which only serve to cause more confusion and frustration.

Perhaps the most infamous example of how Common Core will manifest itself in America’s schooling system was illustrated by a bizarre video in which a Common Core curriculum director said that 3 x 4 = 11 could be considered a correct answer so long as students could explain how they reached that number.

Common Core’s sex education standards have also face fierce criticism, with one group even claiming that they represent “pornography” which serves to desensitize children to sexual contact and could lead to an increased chance of molestation within the schooling system.

“What is taught includes teaching inappropriate sexuality skills, that shouldn’t even be taught in college,”writes Joseph R. John. “According to child psychologists, the children are not mentally equipped to understand the detailed sexual indoctrination starting in kindergarten, they are indoctrinated in sexual practices that they should never be exposed to.”

As the backlash grows, more and more states are considering abolishing Common Core altogether, with Indiana’s decision earlier this year to ditch the program seen as a victory for conservatives.

Rand Paul Calls ISIS War ‘Illegal,’ Urges Congress To Reclaim Power

Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul isn’t mincing words — he calls the military actions taken against the terrorist group known as ISIS “illegal” and says it must either stop or President Barack Obama needs to come to Congress to get authorization to continue it.
The War Powers Act allows the President to act militarily for 60 days before seeking congressional authorization, after which he has 30 days to seek authorization or end the action. That 90-day window has now passed. As Sen. Paul put it:

I believe the president must come to Congress to begin a war. I also believe the War Powers Act is misunderstood; President Obama acted without true constitutional authority even before the 90 days expired, since we were not under attack at that time.
But in either case, this war is now illegal. It must be declared and made valid, or it must be ended.
Congress has a duty to act, one way or the other.

Paul did not reserve all his criticism for the president; he also had choice words for Secretary of State John Kerry. Kerry “became famous as an anti-war liberal decades ago,” he wrote. “That same man is now probably the most visible liberal proponent of unlimited war-making powers, as a member of this administration.”

But Paul’s criticisms were not limited to Democrats. In a veiled swipe at Arizona Sen. John McCain, with whom Paul has had many disagreements, Paul writes, “Prominent Republicans from the interventionist wing of the party parrot and applaud Kerry’s position. If ever there was too much bipartisanship, it would be the bipartisan acceptance of unlimited presidential war-making power.”
Paul is not saying military action against ISIS is unjustified, he states the exact opposite, in fact. But it’s the process through which it is being conducted that troubles him. He sees it as a separation of powers issues and encourages his fellow senators and representatives, particularly conservatives, to reclaim the power to make war, explicitly given them by the Constitution. He concludes his piece by writing:

It’s time for conservatives to say enough is enough. Obama’s commandeering of Congress’s powers—from making war, to remaking our health-care system—has to stop. There needs to be an across-the-board, consistent defense of the constitutional separation of powers. Nothing less will win the day. That should include this current battle in the Middle East. Taking military action against ISIS is justified. The president acting without Congress is not.

(CNSNews.com) – Former White House Counterterrorism Adviser Richard Clarke on ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopolous” on Sunday warned that terrorists could gain the capability to attack the U.S. power grid, potentially knocking out power to part of the country for months. “The real worry is that eventually, non-state actors, maybe even terrorist groups, will gain this capability,” Clarke said.
Rep. Jim Langevin (D-R.I.), who is on the Armed Services Committee, said there was a study done by the Idaho National Laboratory that showed through a Systems Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA) attack, a generator – or a number of generators - could be blown up, leaving “a whole sector of the country without electricity for a period of not just days or weeks, but potentially months.”
That’s because the generators are large, Langevin said. “They're not just like batteries that are sitting on a shelf that you can, you know, take one out and plug another one in. These generators take months to build, ship and install.”
“What can be done to prevent that?” Stephanopolous asked Clarke.
“Well, very little,” Clarke said. “The thing here to really bear in mind is this is not about to happen. We have nuclear weapons. We haven't used them. We have cyber weapons and we've seldom used them. The United States did do a cyber attack on Iran and destroyed some nuclear centrifuges. But this is a contingency and it's very unlikely that it will be used by nation states.
“The real worry is that eventually, non-state actors, maybe even terrorist groups, will gain this capability,” he added.
“Is that the real threat, Congressman?” Stephanopolous asked Langevin.
“Yes, it is the real threat, and Richard hit it right on the point right now. Right now, these -- these worst weapons and cyber weapons are in the hands of nation states who have the capability but not necessarily the will to use them, but then you have groups like ISIL or al Qaeda, that certainly would have the intent, but not the weapons,” Langevin said.
“And that gap, that divide, if you will, seems to be becoming much more narrow and eventually the worst actors will have the worst weapons and they potentially will use them against us,” he said.
Langevin has been “trying to raise the alarm on this,” and he pointed to an information sharing bill that cleared the House but is waiting for Senate action that would pass along classified threat information to the private sector and relay information about attacks experienced by the private sector “back to the government so that information could be more widely shared.”
“This is not a problem that we're ever going to be -- that we're ever going to solve. It's one that we need to manage. We need to close the aperture of vulnerability to something that is much more manageable,” he said.
“So what we need to do in Congress is pass an information sharing bill. That bill passed and was unanimous out of the House Intelligence Committee, on which I sit. It passed the House with strong bipartisan support. And now we're waiting for the Senate to take it up,” Langevin added.
