A recent investigation has uncovered a shocking tale of corruption and adultery at the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Susan Taylor, a longtime federal employee and Deputy Chief Procurement Officer at the Veterans Health Administration since 2010, not only used her position to award government contracts to a former business partner, and worked with said company to hide the thousands and thousands of dollars it was making off the government, but conspired with her married boyfriend — who also had close personal ties to the company — to thwart investigations into her misconduct.
The salacious story began in 1994, when Taylor met William Dobrzykowski at the Department of Housing and Urban Development, where he was her supervisor. By 2006 he’d reportedly asked her to marry him, and in 2007 they picked out a diamond. Together with the mounting, it cost nearly $12,000.
By then they’d both moved on to different jobs — she was the Director of Procurement at the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation; he was a contractor she’d abused her position to hire. During this entire period, the investigation notes, Dobrzykowski was married to and living with his actual wife.
In 2012, Taylor was apparently considering breaking the news to the poor woman, having drafted an email to her explaining the entire relationship, although it is unclear whether the email was ever sent.
But that’s not all! Within months of starting at the PBGC, Taylor had attempted to get Dobrzykowski a job there, acting as a personal reference for him when he applied to be its Chief Financial Officer. Undeterred when they hired someone else, Taylor got him a gig as a consultant in her department, during which time she was his supervisor. Dobrzykowski’s company, Paradigm Financial Solutions, was paid $80,000 for his “consulting,” and within two months the $12,000 ring was chosen and paid for.
Taylor repeatedly lied to coworkers and and other officials about their relationship, shrugging off accusations of a conflict of interest by asserting that they were only friends, even explaining that they couldn’t possibly be in a relationship, since Dobrzykowski was married. When asked what the rock on her hand was about, she’d pretend to be engaged to someone else.
A 2008 performance review, according to the investigation, stated that “her accomplishments were undermined by her poor judgment and lack of accountability. … Ms. Taylor allowed a personal friend to be hired in her department as a contractor [Mr. Dobrzykowski]; resisted her supervisor’s requirement that the contract be terminated; made numerous attempts to find work for her friend in other departments; and attempted to go around her supervisor to the Director. The PRB concluded that these actions, as well as others, reflected poorly on Ms. Taylor’s individual performance objectives in leadership/supervision, resource management, and technical competence.”

This, of course, is all good enough for government work, since two years later she found herself in a top position at the VHA.

Reports: Okla. beheading suspect linked to al-Qaeda leader, CAIR-associated Imam

On Saturday, Terror Trends Bulletin, citing reports at Breitbart.com, said Alton Nolen, the suspect in a grisly beheading in Moore, Oklahoma, has "direct and indirect" ties to prominent Islamic figures in the United States. The mosque attended by Nolen, aka Jah’Keem Yisrael, was once led by Suhaib Webb, an Imam with ties to former al-Qaeda mastermind Anwar al-Awlaki, Breitbart reported.
The mosque Nolen attended, the Islamic Society of Greater Oklahoma City, is affiliated with the Islamic Society of North America, Terror Trends Bulletin said. ISNA, Christopher Holton reported, was outed as a Muslim Brotherhood front and was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation trial.
When ISNA tried to get that designation removed, Holton added, the judge refused, saying the designation was accurate and proper. Were it not for the influence of Attorney General Eric Holder, who shut down the investigation, ISNA may have been prosecuted for terror charges.
In a YouTube video posted last October, Webb attacked human rights activist Aayan Hirsi Ali and called for an Islamic-dominated society while speaking at a CAIR event. He is now affiliated with the Islamic Society of Boston, a mosque with ties to the Boston Marathon bomber and the terror group ISIS. Webb, Charles Jacobs said at the Jewish Advocate last year, “teaches vicious hatred and calls for young Muslims to engage in Jihad against non-Muslims in order to establish a global Islamic state.”
Three weeks before allegedly beheading a former co-worker, Nolen took a picture of himself in front of the Oklahoma mosque where Webb once worked. The caption on his Facebook page read: “At The Masjid (Mosque)Today For Jumar 9/5/2014 & Peforming (sic) Wudu!!!”
CAIR, Holton said, has distanced itself from Nolen. Adam Soltani of CAIR-Oklahoma, said “Islam stands clearly opposed to violence in any kind and in no way could or faith ever support the actions of this man.” But a group of Muslims were heard shouting "praise Allah" after a press conference on the beheading.
Holton, however, wasn't convinced by Soltani, saying that "available evidence, dating back 1400 years to the earliest origins of Islamic doctrine to the actions of literally dozens of Jihadist organizations on every continent, save Antarctica, contradicts this ridiculous statement by Soltani." Islamic jihadists around the world have used beheading as a preferred method of execution, Holton said, calling the Oklahoma attack "anything but isolated."
He cited the beheadings of Daniel Pearl, James Foley, Steven Sotloff, David Haines and Herve Gourdel as examples. ISIS terrorists have beheaded so many that children play with the severed heads.
"There are many ways to kill someone," he said. "But Muslim jihadis choose to behead their victims."
The reason is quite simple. Islamic doctrine, Holton added, "says that they should." Meanwhile, authorities have not confirmed the motivation for the murder, but the FBI is reportedly probing to see if Nolen's conversion to Islam may have played a role.

Obama has had accurate intelligence about ISIS since BEFORE the 2012 election, says administration insider

  • A national security staffer in the Obama administration said the president has been seeing 'highly accurate predictions' about the rise of the ISIS terror army since 'before the 2012 election'
  • Obama insisted in his campaign speeches that year that America was safe and al-Qaeda was 'on the run'
  • The president said during Sunday's '60 Minutes' program that his Director of National Intelligence had conceded he underestimated ISIS
  • But the administration aide insisted that Obama's advisers gave him actionable information that sat and gathered dust for more than a year
  • 'He knew what was at stake,' the aide said of the president, and 'he knew where all the moving pieces were'
  • Obama takes daily intelligence briefings in writing, he explained, because no one will be able to testify about warning the president in person about threats that the White House doesn't act on
President Barack Obama's intelligence briefings have provided him with specific information since before he won re-election in 2012 about the growing threat of the terror group now known alternatively as ISIS and ISIL, an administration insider told MailOnline on Monday.
'Unless someone very senior has been shredding the president's daily briefings and telling him that the dog ate them, highly accurate predictions about ISIL have been showing up in the Oval Office since before the 2012 election,' said a national security staffer in the Obama administration who is familiar with the content of intelligence briefings.
The staffer declined to share anything specific about the content of those briefings, citing his need to maintain a security clearance.
But 'it's true,' he said, 'that the [intelligence] community was sending pretty specific intel up to us.'
'We were seeing specific threat assessments and many of them have panned out exactly as we were told they would.'

The aide said he is familiar with some of the material regarding the Middle East that reaches Obama's desk.
In a '60 Minutes' interview that aired Sunday, the president singled out James Clapper, his director of national intelligence, for blame in failing to understand the significance of the threat posed by the terror army that calls itself the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham.
'Our head of the intelligence community, Jim Clapper,' Obama said, 'has acknowledged that, I think, they underestimated what had been taking place in Syria.'
That finger-pointing, MailOnline's source said, is not sitting well in the White House.
'It's starting to affect morale around here,' he said.
'Any time you're hired by a boss to advise him about what to do in a high-stakes area, and he ignores you for a long time, it's going to gnaw at you.'
And choosing a fall guy, he said, has a smell of desperation about it since the president was warned long ago what could happen if ISIS, formerly known in the West as Al-Qaeda In Iraq, were left alone to fester following a U.S. military withdrawal.
The last American boots on the ground were airlifted from Iraq in December 2011. In the months that followed, he explained, U.S. intelligence services compiled detailed information about what the groups he called 'bad guys' were doing to take advantage of the sudden power vacuum.
And those briefings were specific about both the breadth of ISIS's aims and their ability to run roughshod over large swaths of two countries.
There's 'no way' the president should blame the alphabet-soup of intelligence agencies for what resulted, the aide said.
'He had enough to go on ... He knew what was at stake. He knew where all the moving pieces were.'
'By February [2014] we had generals basically reading out their memos to Congress,' he added, referring to testimony from Lieutenant General Michael Flynn, the director of the Defense Intelligence Agency.
Flynn predicted ISIS 'probably will attempt to take territory in Iraq and Syria to exhibit its strength in 2014.' The Islamist terror group had already seized Fallujah and Ramadi, he said, had the 'ability to concurrently maintain multiple safe havens in Syria.'
By the time Flynn spoke on Capitol Hill, Congress had already heard the story at least once before.
Assistant Secretary of State Brett McGurk told a House Foreign Affairs subcommittee in November 2013 that ISIS had been militarily active all year because of 'a permissive operating environment due to inherent weaknesses of Iraqi security forces, poor operational tactics, and popular grievances, which remain unaddressed.'
'It has also benefited from a sanctuary across the porous border in Syria, control of lucrative facilities there, such as oil wells, and regular movement of weapons and fighters between Syria and Iraq,' McGurk said.
Is an air campaign enough? Obama is sending planes like these Air Force F-15E Strike Eagles over targets in Northern Iraq and Syria, but his enthusiasm for defeating the loathed Islamist radicals is late in coming if he has been briefed about them for more than two years

Asked Monday whether the president heard that early warning and found it credible, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest told an ABC News reporter that 'nobody could predict ... the (lack of) willingness of the Iraqi security forces to stand up and fight for their own country.'
But MailOnline's source said that even McGurk's warning bells were old news in the White House.
The president, he said, was hearing information about ISIS 'long before that. It goes back to the autumn of 2012.'
Al-Qaeda in Iraq, he said, had already begun to metamorphose into ISIS before Obama ran for president the first time. In 2006 the group's Mujahideen Shura Council declared an Islamic 'state' in western and central Iraq, a development U.S. military intelligence was aware of since they were stationed 'in country.'
By the late autumn of that year the nascent self-proclaimed Sunni country was organized and holding open-air military parades.
President Obama ordered America's military to pack up and return home at the end of 2011. By that time, the would-be nation ISIS's goals had exploded to encompass controlling land in Syria. And its tactical toolbox had grown to include the kind of genocidal preferences that ISIS has showed in 2013 and 2014.
While the U.S. officially left no residual military force in Iraq, the aide told MailOnline, small contingents of Special Operators and intelligence assets did remain behind. And the information they provided became part of the president's briefings in the months that followed – right in the midst of presidential campaign season.
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Shots across the bow: The president is seeing significant pushback now from members of the intel and national security communities who resent the White House ignoring their warning for years

Still, Obama repeatedly claimed in his campaign speeches that his administration had left Middle Eastern terror groups hamstrung and hurting.
'Four years ago, I promised to end the war in Iraq – and we did,' he said during a Sept. 13, 2012 speech in Colorado. 'I said we’d wind down the war in Afghanistan – and we are.'
'And while a new tower rises above the New York skyline, al-Qaeda is on the path to defeat and Osama bin Laden is dead.'
Those words came two days after a terror attack that left a U.S. ambassador and three other Americans dead in Benghazi, Libya.
The administration later claimed he was referring to 'al-Qaeda core,' the Pakistan-based mother ship once helped by Osama bin Laden. But ISIS's roots as an al-Qaeda faction now make Obama's pronouncements look questionable.
Since the president's CBS interview aired Sunday night, a few intrepid whistle-blowers have poked their heads above Washington's parapets to disagree with his claim that his intelligence advisers failed to pinpoint the growing ISIS threat.
One former senior Pentagon aide told The Daily Beast that 'either the president doesn't read the intelligence he’s getting or he’s bulls***ting.'
Like that former official, MailOnline's source requested anonymity.
He echoed the Pentagon veteran's concerns about how the president digests the information that Clapper and others distill for him on a daily basis.
'It's pretty well-known that the president hasn’t taken in-person intelligence briefings with any regularity since the early days of 2009,' the aide said. 'He gets them in writing.'
'And it's well-understood why. No one sits and watches him read them, and no one can come back later and tell Congress in a closed session that "I told the president this specific thing was likely to happen".'
ISIS, which has its roots in Al-Qaeda In Iraq, is a 31,000-strong terror army that has seized massive land areas in Iraq and Syria and now occupies about one-third of both

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers, a Michigan Republican, said late Monday in a statement that U.S. intelligence agencies have 'specifically warned' for 'over a year' that ISIS 'was taking advantage of the situation in Syria to recruit members and provoke violence that could spill into Iraq and the rest of the region.'
In 2013, he said, his committee 'formally pressed the administration for action to address the terrorist threat present in Syria.'
'We all knew that former Iraqi Prime Minster Maliki had mismanaged his military and gutted the ISF (Iraqi Security Forces) of its top commanders. Indeed, over a year ago, our Arab League partners sought U.S. support and leadership for a coordinated effort to address the extremist threat in eastern Syria.'
'This was not an Intelligence Community failure,' Rogers said, 'but a failure by policy makers to confront the threat.'
Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain told a CNN audience on Monday that he was 'puzzled by the president, some of his statements. ... We predicted what would happen if we didn’t leave (a) residual force' in Iraq.
'The intelligence people are pushing back hard,' McCain observed.
'We predicted this and watched it, it was like watching a train wreck, and warning every step of the way that this was happening.'

RPT: Okla. Beheading Suspect Went to Same Mosque as 9/11 Conspirator

As seen on The Kelly File
Oklahoma beheading suspect Alton Nolen reportedly attended the same mosque as a 9/11 conspirator.
Breitbart Texas news contributor Bob Price told Megyn Kelly tonight that Zacarias Moussaoui, "the 20th hijacker," went to the same mosque as Nolen – although there is no known direct link between the two.

Price, who has been following this story from the beginning, also told Kelly about speaking to Nolen’s mother. He said he picked up a sense of deep depression while speaking to the woman, who maintains that her son “was raised up believing in God.”
But Price said that Nolen “isn’t the innocent little boy that she’s trying to portray,” noting his assault conviction which occurred prior to his conversion to Islam.

Germany's military can't meet Nato commitments

Ursula von der Leyen said in an interview that the Bundeswehr could not meet all of its pledges in responding to crises.
"With the airborne systems we are, at the moment, below the target figures announced a year ago on what we want to put at the disposal of Nato within 180 days in the case of an emergency," she told Bild am Sonntag.

Supply shortfalls on replacement parts for aircraft and the breakdown of naval helicopters are behind the problem, she said.

Last week, a small group of German military personnel sent to train Kurdish fighters battling Islamic State jihadists (Isis) arrived in northern Iraq days behind schedule due to technical problems with several transport aircraft.

The first German arms delivery to the region also arrived behind schedule.

Numerous Bundeswehr helicopters and transport planes are not fit for service due to technical defects and fighter jets and armoured vehicles are also beset with problems.

Von der Leyen, who last week visited northern Iraq, said the focus had been to concentrate on the "very good equipment" available for military operations, and less on the maintenance of stock at home.
"For example, the production of replacement parts has been reduced for years. Maintenance and inspections proceed slowly," she told the Sunday paper, adding this could in part also hold up modern equipment.

Working on improving things would take years and more money down the line, she warned.

"Developing stocks, faster repairs and the acquisition of better equipment will cost more money in the medium term," she said.

The German military is looking into leasing additional transport planes to help relieve its old Transall aircraft while it waits to receive A400M models and builds up a fully-operational fleet, she added.

On the need to raise military spending, the defence minister received backing from fellow conservative politician Henning Otte.

"From 2016, an increase of the budget will be necessary, for as much money as is necessary to fulfil all tasks," the conservative bloc's spokesman for defence matters was quoted as saying by Welt am Sonntag.

Kurds arrive in Bavaria

But Germany's Bundeswehr is helping where it can, and on Sunday it started training 32 Kurdish fighters from northern Iraq at an army school in Bavaria.

The soldiers will be trained in handling weaponry provided by the German military to support their battle against Islamic State jihadists, officials said on Sunday.

The fighters, who arrived on Saturday, will receive instruction on using Bundeswehr anti-tank Milan missiles, a defence ministry spokesman told AFP.

The training will takes place at an infantry training centre in the southern town of Hammelburg through Friday.

German military personnel this week are also due to start training Kurdish fighters in Iraq, Der Spiegel news weekly reported on Saturday.

That training is expected to run until the end of November, the magazine said.

Late last month Berlin announced that it was sending weapons to the Peshmerga Kurdish fighters in northern Iraq to help them fight off Isis militants who have seized large swathes of territory in Iraq and Syria.

New York Fusion Center Declares Oath Keepers, Other Liberty Groups as ‘Extremist Threats’

New York Fusion Center Declares Oath Keepers, Other Liberty Groups as ‘Extremist Threats’

Melissa Melton
Activist Post

The New York State Intelligence Center — a known Fusion Center with the stated
purpose to, “collect, evaluate, analyze, and disseminate information and intelligence data regarding criminal and terrorist activity relevant to New York State” — issued a Counter Terrorism Bulletin last June identifying Oath Keepers in addition to other liberty related groups as “far-right extremist group and/or a threat to law enforcement.”

Here is a portion of a statement released by Oath Keepers yesterday:
On August 11, 2014, the New York Oath Keepers sent out correspondence to both the Governor and the Superintendent of the New York State Police clearly pointing out the New York State Intelligence Center’s faulty logic and misstatements of fact that were used to politically demonize the New York Oath Keeper organization whose clearly stated nonpartisan mission is simply to encourage our Military and Law Enforcement Officers, and others, to honor their oaths to the United States and New York State Constitutions.
In that correspondence, we requested that the officials at the NYSIC issue a public correction, indicating their error in classifying New York Oath Keepers as a far-right extremist group and/or a threat to law enforcement. We also requested a meeting with the Governor, the Superintendent of the New York State Police and/or officials from other NYSIC member organizations, so we could address any misinformation and misunderstandings about the New York Oath Keepers mission. We told them that it is our goal to see this extremely prejudicial “far-right extremist” label retracted and the necessary corrections made to the Bulletin.
A month and a half has passed and neither the Governor nor the Superintendent of the New York State Police has seen fit to even reply to our original correspondence.
So, today the New York Oath Keepers, an organization consisting of thousands of active duty and retired military, police and fire personnel, who have at one or more times in their lives taken an Oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America, sent them a second letter. We also sent a letter to the Special Agent in Charge of the Albany Office of the FBI, as they are also key members of the NYSIC.
The full statement is up on the official Oath Keepers site here which includes copies of all letters (including the latest) sent to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.

Some 58 fusion centers were created by the Department of Homeland Security in the wake of 9/11, supposedly to help fight terrorism through local data intelligence gathering. This is not the first time that one of these fusion centers has criminalized anyone outspoken against tyrannical government control and the destruction of the Constitution of the United States and the rights of the American people.

The Missouri Information Analysis Center, or MIAC, which Fox News
describes as, “a government collective that identifies the warning signs of potential domestic terrorists for law enforcement communities,” identified Constitutional militia members and even Ron Paul supporters as potential terrorists.

Oath Keepers, meanwhile, is a nonpartisan group made up of current and formerly serving military, police, and first responders who have pledged simply to fulfill the oath all military and police take — to “defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign
and domestic .” [emphasis added]

It’s that part about Oath Keepers standing up to defend the law of this land, our Constitution — something Homeland Security has been actively destroying since its inception with leaked DHS
training videos referring to America’s founding fathers as domestic terrorists and ludicrous actions like the creation of “100-mile inland Constitution-free zone” checkpoints around the nation’s border, that seems to be the real issue here.

Branding liberty minded groups and those that would stand up for our rights and the Constitution as potential domestic terrorist threats is essentially branding them as criminals, setting them up under a dubious legal framework, and paving the way to make government dissent a crime.
