John Boehner must go

John Boehner is going to ignore the majority of his Republican Caucus and push through gun control, amnesty and a budget deal with Obama.
john boehner must go
If we wanted all of those things, why didn’t we just leave Nancy Pelosi in as Speaker?
Boehner is violating the so-called “Hastert rule.”   The Hastert rule says no legislation will be advanced for a vote on the House floor unless it is supported by a majority of the Republican caucus.
If John Boehner is going to surrender, why do we have him as Speaker of the House?

We the undersigned call on the Republican Members of Congress to act now and replace John Boehner as Speaker of the House with a conservative who will stand up to Barack Obama and will advance a conservative agenda.

Treason Alert: Dems Try to Move Gun Bill Forward Without Allowing Senators to Read It

Obamacare repeat: Senators not allowed to read bill prior to cloture

Like the disastrous and unconstitutional Obamacare bill rammed down the throats of the American people, the unconstitutional S. 49 gun bill aimed at the heart of the Second Amendment passed cloture earlier today in the Senate with 68 votes despite the fact senators have not had a chance to read it.
Sen. Mike Lee: Nobody has read the bill.
Cloture will now put the legislation up for a simple majority vote. Democrats have a majority in the Senate. It will be up to Republicans in the House to derail the bill if it is passed in the Senate.
Republicans decided not to support a move by Kentucky Senator Rand Paul to filibuster the legislation. Sixteen Republicans – Alexander, Ayotte, Burr, Chambliss, Coburn, Collins, Corker, Flake, Graham, Heller, Hoeven, Isakson, Kirk, McCain, Toomey, Wicker – voted with Democrats to move the bill to the floor for debate and a vote.
Regardless of the enthusiasm to proceed, most senators, including ardent supporters, have not read the bill. “Well, I haven’t seen the bill, so I’m going to reserve my concerns,” California Democrat Senator Dianne Feinstein told Morning Joe. “I only know what people have told me.”
Sen. Feinstein: I have not seen the bill yet.
Andrew Johnson wrote for the National Review earlier today:
Speaking on the Senate floor minutes before the vote to move gun-control legislation forward, Mike Lee (R., Utah) urged postponing the cloture vote because none of his Senate colleagues has yet had a chance to read the entire bill. “We’re trying to prevent the ability of members to push through legislation before anyone has had the time to read and evaluate the language,” Lee said. “As of this morning, as of this very moment, not a single senator has been provided the legislative text of” the background-check provision proposed yesterday by senators Joe Manchin and Pat Toomey, which Lee said was the “centerpiece of this legislation.”
If passed, universal background checks will establish a national registry that will be used to confiscate firearms.

Draghi Orders Cyprus To Sell All Gold Reserves!

Texas goldGoldmanite Mario Draghi has just issued Cyprus an ultimatum that the nation’s gold reserves must be liquidated to satiate the Vampire Squid…er…the ECB for Cyprus’ bailout.  In response, Cyprus’ Central Bank President Panicos Demetriades just stated:
  • PANICOS DEMETRIADES SAYS CYPRUS CENTRAL BANK INDEPENDENCE UNDER ATTACK.
As Bloomberg reports:
“The decision is going to be taken by the central bank,” Draghi said after a meeting of euro-area finance officials in Dublin. “What’s important, however, is that what is being transferred to the government budget out of the profits made out of the sales of gold should cover first and foremost any potential loss that the central bank might have from its ELA.”

ELA stands for Emergency Liquidity Assistance, a lifeline that can be offered by national central banks in the euro region to commercial banks that can’t get funding.

Asked about a letter he wrote to Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades, Draghi said the letter is “very, very clear.” He said the government must abide by the central bank’s handling of the gold stock, since it is independent from political control under European rules.

The independence of central banks in the euro area is enshrined in the treaty,” Draghi said. “The ECB will look at developments in Cyprus from this angle.”

Speaking alongside Draghi, Dutch Finance Minister Jeroen Dijsselbloem said selling gold “has always been an option put forward by the Cypriot authorities.”

“But as mentioned in the program documentation, this is a decision to be made independently by the Cypriot central bank,” he said. “And it’s not any demand from the troika or the eurogroup.”

As Cyprus is the official template per DieselBOOM, next up for Draghi/Goldman and the ECB/IMF is the combined 5,550 tons of physical gold reserves via Italy, France, Portugal, and Spain alone:
