WASHINGTON, November 25, 2013 — Asking Iran to “halt and scale back its nuclear program” is like asking President Barack Obama to take responsibility for his presidency. It will never occur. From one dishonest broker to another, this explains why Obama agreed to the “sucker’s deal” negotiated in Geneva between Iran and five other so-called “superpowers,” Britain, Germany, France, China and Russia.
Obama bowed to Iran’s demand that it be allowed to keep its current supply of enriched uranium with the promise it won’t produce anymore high grade uranium to use in a nuclear bomb. Iran also “promised” it would stop construction on a nuclear reactor in Arak being built to produce plutonium used to make a bomb. In exchange for Iran’s generous assurances, economic sanctions will be lifted for six months and the cash starved, mullah run nation will be able to tap some of its $7 billion in frozen funds.
“Halting” isn’t dismantling or ending Iran’s nuclear program. As Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, “Iran gets everything that it wanted at this stage and it pays nothing.”
But Iran’s “Take our word for it; trust us” deal was good enough for Obama because he never wanted Iran to disarm its nuclear capability anyway. Since day one of his presidency, Obama has been determined to reduce America from a great nation of global influence to an impotent pinwheel.
Dinesh D’Souza warned in “The Roots of Obama’s Rage,” “even as Iran develops the full capacity to build nuclear weapons, Obama will do little or nothing to stop it. My theory holds that Obama has no serious interest in preventing Iran from having a bomb; his main concern is with reducing the American arsenal.”
Think about it.
While Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu repeatedly warned Obama during his first term in office that Iran was on the verge of completion of a nuclear bomb, Obama refused to take any action to stop it. It was five years into his presidency before he made a visit to Israel, but only a few months to defrost relations with Iran, cutting a deal with the terrorist nation to maintain its nuclear status, albeit under the ruse of using its nuclear power for “peaceful purposes.”
This is the same Iran that arms Syrian President Assad to continue his massacre of his own people; the same Iran that professes its goal is to wipe Israel from the face of the earth; the same Iran that funds terrorism globally through groups like Hezbollah and Hamas, enemies to Israel and America.
Yet, Obama “trusts” the mullahs to freeze Iran’s nuclear program.
America broke off diplomatic relations with Iran in 1980 as a result the 1979 Iran hostage crisis, when radical Muslim students, encouraged by the mullahs, stormed the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, holding 52 Americans hostage for 444 days.
D’Souza writes, “At a meeting of South American nations on April 17, 2009, Obama told the leaders of Cuba, Venezuela, Bolivia, and Haiti, ‘I pledge to you that we seek an equal partnership. There is no senior partner and no junior partner. The United States will be willing to acknowledge past errors where those errors have been made.’ How nice for this motley Third World crew to discover that henceforth they would be operating on an equal plane with the United States.”
With his lead-from-behind mentality, Obama believes that America has grown too big for its britches in acting as the world’s conscience. It needs to be brought down to size and meet on equal footing with all nations, even terrorist ones like Iran. The mullahs and Obama did an excellent job of standing down America’s greatness in Geneva.
Running for re-election in 2012, Obama assured Netanyahu with regard to Iran, “The United States will always have Israel’s back.” What he meant to say was that when he won re-election, the U.S. would bare Israel’s back to Iran.
Netanyahu tweeted, “What was achieved last night in Geneva is not an historic agreement; it is an historic mistake”
Former CIA Director General Michael Hayden described it as “practically the worst of all possible outcomes because now what you have here is a nuclear capable state.”
Obama is getting slammed from the left and the right for this “mistake.” America committed an even bigger mistake when it elected then re-elected Obama. Now our allies and the world will suffer from his destructive vision of America. Brace yourself, the mullahs are coming.
