DALLAS - Federal prosecutors have arrested two Central Texas men who they say both expressed a desire to go abroad and help terrorist groups in Syria and Africa.
Authorities on Tuesday announced the arrests of Rahatul Khan and Michael Todd Wolfe. Both are 23.
A criminal complaint says Khan is a University of Texas student and Round Rock resident who said in an online chat room that he was recruiting fighters for "jihad" -- an Arabic term sometimes used to mean holy war.
A separate complaint accuses Wolfe, an Austin resident, of arranging to fly with his family to Turkey so he could enter neighboring Syria and fight there.
Both men are in custody and face up to 15 years in prison if convicted. Neither had an attorney listed.
