Egyptian Magazine: Muslim Brotherhood Infiltrates Obama Administration

The head of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) vows to complain to U.S. Department of Homeland Security officials after they blocked a radical Saudi cleric from entering the country this week to attend a national Islamist conference in Chicago.
Sheikh Ayed al-Qarni was scheduled to speak twice during the Muslim American-Society (MAS)/Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) national convention Dec. 22-25. But a statement released during the convention expressed "the unpleasant and saddening news" that al-Qarni had been removed from his flight from Saudi Arabia despite having a visa from the U.S. embassy, and that he appears to be on the U.S. "no-fly list." Al-Qarni is described as "one of our great speakers" and as someone known "for his logical discourse and balanced views, he promotes understanding and collaboration between all people, regardless of their faith, background, or language."
Al-Qarni has advocated jihad in the past and his preaching on the subject has been described as influential among al-Qaida followers.
CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad told an Arabic news outlet that he would protest al-Qarni's exclusion with DHS and State Department officials. "We defend all Muslims who are subject to arbitrary measure, and by this logic, we will act but not formally plead, unless we obtain authorization from him."
It's an ironic protest to make in light of a public relations campaign orchestrated by CAIR's Chicago chapter. "MyJihad" aims to show non-Muslims that the term jihad is more about peaceful, personal attempts at overcoming challenges than about calls for violence and terror.
Through Awad, also a listed speaker at the convention, CAIR is fighting to bring a Saudi cleric into the United States who has argued the exact opposite message. During a 2005 sermon flagged by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), al-Qarni called the jihad against American forces in Fallujah "a source of pride … downing their planes, destroying equipment, slaughtering them, taking them hostage, and proclaiming 'Allah Akhbar' from the mosques, and the worshippers and the preacher cursing them in their prayers, and then come others begging for forgiveness, and requesting a dialogue and a ceasefire and negotiations. Who can say even one word against this true Jihad against these colonialist occupiers?" [Emphasis added]
He belittled Muslims who failed to take action, including "harming the Jews." He invoked Israel's targeted killings of Hamas leaders Ahmed Yassin and Abdel-Aziz Rantisi, saying he prayed that Allah "will destroy the Jews and their helpers from among the Christians and the Communists, and that He will turn them into the Muslims' spoils. I praise the Jihad, the sacrifice, and the resistance against the occupiers in Iraq. We curse them all of them every night and pray that Allah will annihilate them, tear them apart, and grant us victory over them..."
"Throats must be slit and skulls must be shattered," al-Qarni said. "This is the path to victory, to shahada, and to sacrifice."
This was no one-time rant.
A 2005 interview published in the London-based Al-Quds Al-Arabi March 2005 quoted Nasir Ahmad Nasir Abdallah al-Bahri, one of Osama bin Laden's personal bodyguards, saying al-Qarni was among the Saudi clerics whose preaching influenced bin Laden's followers.
"We were also influenced by the sermons delivered by some speakers in the mosques in Jedda about jihad in Afghanistan. The cassettes on jihad that influenced us most were those by Shaykh A'id [Ayed] al-Qarni, especially the first cassette, titled 'Nights in Afghanistan,' and the second cassette, 'The Afghanistan I saw. Al-Qarni used to speak, enjoin, and call for jihad in an astonishing way."
Al-Qarni also attracted Western attention in 2004 when he called it a sin for women to drive cars in Saudi Arabia. The practice would spread corruption and lead to "mingling between the sexes, men being alone with women and the destruction of the family and society in whole."
On top of all that, he has been accused of intellectual dishonesty. Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Culture and Information fined al-Qarni 300,000 Saudi riyals earlier this year for allegedly plagiarizing chapters from a book by a Saudi woman.
But even with al-Qarni's absence, the MAS-ICNA conference still featured speakers who advocate violent jihad. Among them, Kifah Mustapha spoke at, and promoted the event, saying, "It's about learning from the scholars and the teachers who are coming from all over the world to be with you in these few days."
Mustapha was a paid fundraiser for the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, which in 2008 was convicted of funneling more than $12 million to the terrorist group Hamas. He also performed at HLF and other events in a singing troupe known as the al-Sakhra band. In one video among many similar ones entered into evidence at the trial, Mustapha joins in singing:
O mother, Hamas called for Jihad.
Over mosques' loudspeakers, with freedom.
Every day it resists with stones and the dagger.
Tomorrow, with God's help, it will be with a
machine gun and a rifle.
Other exhibits – internal records seized by FBI agents – showed that officials from both CAIR and the Holy Land Foundation were part of an umbrella group known as the "Palestine Committee." That group, records show, was created by the Muslim Brotherhood in America to help the Hamas terrorist group politically and financially.
MAS, one of the convention sponsors, also has direct ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, as documented by the Chicago Tribune in 2004, and as described in sworn testimony last spring by Abdurrahman Alamoudi, once the nation's most influential Islamist activists, who is currently serving a 23-year prison sentence in a terrorism financing case.
In addition, convention speaker Jamal Badawi is a MAS founder and is listed on the first page of a 1992 telephone directory of Brotherhood members admitted into evidence in the Holy Land Foundation trial.
Badawi praised the jihad of Gaza-based terrorists during a February 2009 speech on "Understanding Jihad and Martyrdom," at the Chebucto Mosque in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He also criticized Muslims who considered attacks on Israelis to be terrorism.
"They [moderate Muslims] made this accusation, but they did not even stop at accusations, they did cooperate with the enemies of humanity, to kill their own brothers and sisters," he said.
He led an Islamonline.net dialogue session three years earlier called "Martyrdom in Islam: Let's Discuss it." In it, he compared suicide bombers to "freedom fighters" fighting the Nazis or the Japanese kamikazes fighting the Americans.
He also has openly questioned whether Islam and democracy are compatible. "The Qur'an and Prophetic tradition are the ultimate constitution," he wrote in 2004.
Yet another MAS-ICNA convention speaker urged Muslims to help finance jihad. Ragheb Elsergany's past convention speeches were so extreme, organizers promised not to invite him back. But this year's appearance is at least the second since that pledge was made.
During the 2009 conference, Elsergany spoke of jihad as one of the greatest acts to please Allah, "and one of the greatest of them is supporting the fighters, and the mujahideen [Islamic warriors] and the besieged, and those in need there in Palestine," he said in an Arabic session entitled "The Gaza Struggle."
Elsergany then pushed people to donate money to the cause. "Allah has entrusted us with the money for our brothers and sisters, to confer upon the people of Palestine the surplus of our money. This is their right," he said. "They are the ones who face the Zionists with their chests, their nerves, their lives, their children, their holy places and their sacred places. They are the ones standing [in] front of us and we are standing behind them. You Muslims are abandoning this role."
In the 2011 conference, Elsergany predicted a day when "all of Palestine" would be liberated. The rise of Islamist governments in the Middle East and North Africa was clearing the way for "the Zionist entity" to "vanish absolutely," he said.
The United States government may have kept al-Qarni out of the country, but the MAS-ICNA convention still featured speakers who have called for the destruction of an existing nation, who have praised jihad as the use of violence to praise Allah, and who have documented ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.
Awad's pledge to take al-Qarni's case to decision-makers in Washington so far has been made only in Arabic media with no accompanying release for U.S. audiences. It's no wonder.

Huma Abedin follows closely behind her boss, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton
As five House members continue to call for an investigation of Muslim Brotherhood influence on the federal government, a researcher who has documented numerous ties between Hillary Clinton’s top aide and the global Islamic supremacist movement has found another connection.
Huma Abedin, Clinton’s deputy chief of staff, who is said to advise the secretary of state on Middle East policy, was a member of the executive board of the Muslim Student Association, according to an archived Web page discovered by researcher Walid Shoebat.
The Muslim Student Association, or MSA, was identified as a Muslim Brotherhood front group in a 1991 document introduced into evidence during the terror-financing trial of the Texas-based Holy Land Foundation trial.
The internal Brotherhood memo said Muslim Brotherhood members “must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and by the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and Allah’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.”
While the MSA, with nearly 600 chapters in the U.S. and Canada, “has gained legitimacy as a benevolent collegiate faith club,” it was established in 1963 by Muslim Brotherhood leaders to recruit young people into the movement, which is dedicated to “resurrecting true Islamic governance worldwide” based on Islamic law, or Shariah, according to a dossier by the Investigative Project on Terrorism.
Former MSA leaders directly tied to international violent jihad include al-Qaida cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, convicted American student Ramy Zamzam, Somali al-Shabaab leader Omar Hammami and al-Qaida fundraiser Abdurahman Alamoudi, a former national MSA president who is now serving a 23-year prison sentence.
As WND reported earlier this week, Abedin worked for an organization founded by her family that is effectively at the forefront of a grand Saudi plan to mobilize U.S. Muslim minorities to transform America into a strict Wahhabi-style Islamic state, according to an Arabic-language manifesto issued by the Saudi monarchy.
Shoebat is a Palestinian American author and critic of radical Islam who has done extensive research on the Abedin family’s connections to the Muslim Brotherhod and its Wahhabist affiliations.
Abedin, who was born in the U.S. but raised in Saudi Arabia, has been fiercely defended by both Democrats and Republicans since five Republican lawmakers led by Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., cited her as an example of possible Muslim Brotherhood infiltration and asked the inspector generals at the departments of Homeland Security, Justice and State to investigate.
President Obama praised Abedin at a White House Ramadan dinner July 10, declaring her “nothing less than extraordinary in representing our country and the democratic values that we hold dear.”
Abedin returned to the U.S. from Saudi Arabia about 1996 to work with Clinton at the White House. At the same time, she became an assistant editor for the mouthpiece of the Institute of Muslim Minority Affairs as well as a member of the Muslim Students Association executive board at George Washington University in the nation’s capital.
Screen shot of George Washington University MSA site showing Huma Abedin as member of board
A screen shot, courtesy of Wayback Machine, shows Abedin’s name with the title head of MSA chapter’s social committee, Shoebat reported.
The Institute for Muslim Minority Affairs – founded by her late father and currently directed by her mother – is backed by the Muslim World League, an Islamic organization found in the Saudi holy city of Mecca and founded by Muslim Brotherhood leaders.
Washington Post columnist Dana Milbank has suggested researchers and lawmakers who have presented evidence of the Muslim Brotherhood ties of Abedin and her family are motivated by racism. He commented in a column Aug. 13 that it’s “hard to escape the suspicion” that the charges have “something to do with the way she looks and how she worships.”
Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., called the request for an investigation of Abedin and her family “sinister” and “nothing less than an unwarranted and unfounded attack on an honorable woman, a dedicated American and a loyal public servant.”

State Dept. Recruits Muslim Foreign Service Officers at Jihadist Conf.

State Dept. Recruits Muslim Foreign Service Officers at Jihadist Conf.

162
The Obama administration is covertly recruiting Muslims to work at the State Department as Foreign Service officers representing the United States in one of 265 American embassies, consulates and diplomatic missions worldwide.
It appears to be part of the administration’s Muslim outreach effort, which includes a variety of controversial moves. Among them Homeland Security meetings with extremist Islamic organizations, sending an America-bashing mosque leader (Feisal Abdul Rauf) who blames U.S. foreign policy for the 9/11 attacks on a Middle Eastern outreach mission and revamping the way federal agents are trained to combat terrorism by eliminating all materials that shed a negative light on Muslims.  Secretary of State Hillary Clinton even signed a special order to allow the reentry of two radical Islamic academics whose terrorist ties long banned them from the U.S.
Now comes news of a secretive State Department campaign, discovered in the course of a Judicial Watch investigation, to add Muslims to its roster. Presumably, the new recruits will be deployed around the globe to help the agency fulfill its mission of promoting the country’s international relations. The campaign seems to be headed by Mark Ward, the Deputy Special Coordinator in the State Department’s Office of Middle East Transition.
Ward held a 90-minute seminar at a recent convention sponsored by two groups—Muslim American Society (MAS) and the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA)—with known ties to radical Islam. Both nonprofits are associated with the Muslim Brotherhood, which is known as the parent organization of Hamas and al Qaeda. In fact, the Investigative Project on Terrorism reports that MAS was founded as the U.S. chapter of the Muslim Brotherhood which strives to indoctrinate the world with Islamic Sharia law.
Yet there was a U.S. State Department official, side by side at a radical Islamic powwow in Chicago with a number of speakers who advocate violent jihad. Among them was Kifah Mustapha, a fundraiser at terrorist organization (Holy Land Foundation) convicted of funneling millions to Hamas and Jamal Badawi, a MAS founder who praised the jihad of Gaza terrorists during a speech titled “Understanding Jihad and Martyrdom.”
The conference that Ward conducted focused on career opportunities for Muslim youth. Here is how the event was billed: “Besides being a citizenship duty, there are benefits that Muslims can add to the American Muslim community and the global Muslim world by joining the US Foreign Services. This session will shed light on the different career opportunities for Muslim youth in the US Foreign Services Department. It will also clear any concerns that many people have feared about   pursuing in this career.”
Joining Ward at the podium in the recruitment seminar were Ayman Hammous and Oussama Jammal.  Hammous is the Executive Director of the New York chapter of MAS and Jammal is the president of the Mosque Foundation, a conservative mosque in Bridgeview, Illinois that gave hundreds of thousands of dollars to the Holy Land Foundation and other Islamic charities accused of financing terrorism.

Congressman: Muslim Brotherhood advising Obama President made 'horrendous decisions' about Middle East revolutions

Congressman: Muslim Brotherhood advising Obama

President made 'horrendous decisions' about Middle East revolutions

Outspoken Republican congressman Louie Gohmert is continuing to press for investigation of the Muslim Brotherhood’s influence on the federal government, contending in an interview that a probe is necessary because of the Obama administration’s “horrendous decisions” in backing the so-called “Arab Spring” revolutions in the Middle East.
The East Texas lawmaker was one of five Republican Congress members who stirred bipartisan controversy in June by raising concern about Muslim Brotherhood infiltration in the nation’s capital.

In an interview Tuesday on Gohmert charged that the administration was taking advice from the Muslim Brotherhood, the Egypt-based movement formed after the demise of the Ottoman Turkish empire with the intent of helping establish Islamic rule worldwide.
“You look at the decisions [the Obama administration] made, especially in the last two years, in going through the revolutions in Northern Africa and across the Middle East and to the Far East,” said Gohmert, “and the only way you can explain the horrendous decisions that were so completely wrongheaded would be if the administration had a bunch of Muslim Brotherhood members giving them advice.”
In July, Gohmert, along with Rep. Michele Bachmann, R, Minn., and three other Republican House members, pointed to Hillary Clinton’s top aide, Huma Abedin, as a possible Muslim Brotherhood influence on U.S. policy. The lawmakers asked the inspector generals at the departments of Homeland Security, Justice and State to investigate, prompting Democrats and Republicans to rush to Abedin’s defense.
However, as WND reported, Abedin worked for an organization founded by her family that is effectively at the forefront of a grand Saudi plan to mobilize U.S. Muslim minorities to transform America into a strict Wahhabi-style Islamic state, according to an Arabic-language manifesto issued by the Saudi monarchy. Abedin also was a member of the executive board of the Muslim Student Association, which was identified as a Muslim Brotherhood front group in a 1991 document introduced into evidence during the terror-financing trial of the Texas-based Holy Land Foundation trial.
The internal memo said Muslim Brotherhood members “must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and by the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and Allah’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.”
The Muslim Brotherhood is the parent of most of the top Sunni terrorist organizations in the world, including al-Qaida and Hamas.
Gohmert and other advocates for an investigation of the Muslim Brotherhood’s influence on the U.S. government argue a simple reading of security clearance guidelines in reference to Huma Abedin’s family would warrant investigation.
Gaffeny’s Center for Security Policy, where he serves as president, notes that security clearance guidelines for federal employees state a “security risk may exist when an individual’s immediate family, including cohabitants and other persons to whom he or she may be bound by affection, influence, or obligation are not citizens of the United States or may be subject to duress.”
The guidelines express concern for any “association or sympathy with persons or organizations that advocate the overthrow of the United States Government, or any state or subdivision, by force or violence or by other unconstitutional means.”
Nevertheless, Washington Post columnist Dana Milbank suggested researchers and lawmakers who have presented evidence of the Muslim Brotherhood ties of Abedin and her family are motivated by racism. He commented it’s “hard to escape the suspicion” that the charges have “something to do with the way she looks and how she worships.”
Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., called the request for an investigation of Abedin and her family a “sinister” and “nothing less than an unwarranted and unfounded attack on an honorable woman, a dedicated American and a loyal public servant.”
After the Gaffney interview Tuesday, Gohmert told KLTV-TV in Tyler, Texas, that there’s “no question there’s (Muslim Brotherhood) influence, the question is how much is there.”
Gohmert recalled his questioning of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano about the issue.
“In front of our committee, I asked her how many members of her advisory committee were members of the Muslim Brotherhood, she said she didn’t know,” Gohmert told KLTV.
Gaffney asked Gohmert if the Muslim Brotherhood infiltration issue should be “raised anew and much more aggressively” as Congress investigates the Sept. 11 Benghazi attack and developments in Egypt, where the Muslim Brotherhood president is asserting authoritarian powers
“Absolutely,” Gohmert said.”I think it almost makes a prima facie case when you look at the decisions made by this administration over the last couple of years, or actually all four years.”

Muslim Brotherhood infiltration? 'It's Obama himself'

Muslim Brotherhood infiltration? 'It's Obama himself'

Mark Levin asks what kind of commander-in-chief would nominate Hagel

If lawmakers are serious about investigating whether or not Washington has been infiltrated by the Muslim Brotherhood, they need look no further than Barack Obama himself, charged talk-show host Mark Levin.
Levin noted the scorn congressional colleagues directed at Reps. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, and three other House members who asked for an examination of evidence that the parent organization of jihadist groups such as al-Qaida and Hama were wielding influence on U.S. policy from within.
The lawmakers were “treated like pariahs,” Levin recalled.
The talk host contended Obama’s nomination of former Republican Sen. Chuck Hagel as defense secretary is evidence that Obama himself embodies the infiltration of the Muslim Brotherhood.
“You want to look into Obama’s soul?” Levin asked, then look at Hagel.
“What kind of commander-in-chief would nominate somebody like Chuck Hagel to be secretary of defense?” he asked.
“I’ll tell you what kind of commander-in-chief, the kind of commander-in-chief that arms the Muslim Brotherhood, Islamonazi regime in Cairo while he’s hollowing out the greatest military force on the face of the earth under his direct command, the United States military.”
Fight back against CAIR’s attack on First Amendment by making a contribution to WND’s “Legal Defense Fund.” Donations of $25 or more entitle you to free copy of “Muslim Mafia” – the book so devastating to CAIR the group is trying to ban it.
Levin called Hagel a “sympathizer with the most radical elements in the Middle East, and an Israel hater.”
“So why would a president nominate somebody like Chuck Hagel?” he asked. ‘Because the president is Chuck Hagel.
Even though Hagel made “a fool of himself” yesterday at his Senate confirmation hearing, Levin expects him to be confirmed, “because the Democrats are lockstep.”
“Even the Jewish Democrat members of the U.S. Senate, they’re lockstep,” he said. “The Anti-Defamation League, their lips are sealed. AIPAC – Hagel once called them the ‘Jewish lobby.’ Their lips are sealed; they’re all a bunch of cowards.”
Levin said it’s “the righteous gentiles who are speaking up.”
He emphasized that Hagel “is not just a problem for Israel, he is a huge problem for the United States military.”
“This man believes in unilateral disarmament, whether it’s conventional weaponry or nuclear weaponry,” Levin argued. “And he’s on the record, and there’s not a d— thing he can say to reverse course. But then again, so is Obama.”
Representing the U.S.
Meanwhile, the D.C. watchdog Judicial Watch has uncovered evidence the State Department is covertly recruiting Muslims to work as U.S. Foreign Service officers.
One recruitment effort by the State Department took place at a recent convention sponsored by the Muslim American Society and the Islamic Circle of North America. Both groups are associated with the Muslim Brotherhood. MAS was founded as the Brotherhood’s U.S. chapter.
Gohmert has been pressing for an investigation of the Muslim Brotherhood’s influence on the federal government, contending a probe is necessary because of the Obama administration’s “horrendous decisions” in backing the so-called “Arab Spring” revolutions in the Middle East.
The East Texas lawmaker was one of five Republican Congress members who stirred bipartisan controversy in June by raising concern about Muslim Brotherhood infiltration in the nation’s capital.
The Egypt-based Muslim Brotherhood was formed in the 1920s after the demise of the Ottoman Turkish empire with the intent of helping establish Islamic rule worldwide. It’s stated goal for the U.S. is “a kind of grand jihad” aimed at “eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within” so that “Allah’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.”
In 2009, the WND Books bestseller “Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret World That’s Conspiring to Islamize America” featured a Council on American-Islamic Relations internal memo written in 2007 that called for infiltrating the “judiciary, intelligence and homeland security committees” by, among other things, “placing Muslim interns” in Capitol Hill offices.
The book also uncovered new evidence that CAIR, which was founded by Muslim Brotherhood members to portray Islam in a positive light in the U.S., directly funded Hamas and al-Qaida terrorist fronts.

Obama's 'civilian national security force' Exclusive: Joseph Farah exposes senator's desire for military-sized 'civilian national security force'

Obama's 'civilian national security force'

Exclusive: Joseph Farah exposes senator's desire
for military-sized 'civilian national security force'

With all the reporters covering the major presidential candidates, it amazes me no one ever seems to ask the right questions.
For several days now, WND has been hounding Barack Obama’s campaign about a statement he made July 2 in Colorado Springs – a statement that blew my mind, one that has had me scratching my head ever since.
In talking about his plans to double the size of the Peace Corps and nearly quadruple the size of AmeriCorps and the size of the nation’s military services, he made this rather shocking (and chilling) pledge: “We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”
Now, since I’ve never heard anyone inside or out of government use the phrase “civilian national security force” before, I was more than a little curious about what he has in mind.
Is it possible I am the only journalist in America who sought clarification on this campaign promise?
What does it mean?
If we’re going to create some kind of national police force as big, powerful and well-funded as our combined U.S. military forces, isn’t this rather a big deal?
I thought Democrats generally believed the U.S. spent too much on the military. How is it possible their candidate is seeking to create some kind of massive but secret national police force that will be even bigger than the Army, Navy, Marines and Air Force put together?
Now, maybe he was misquoted by the Congressional Quarterly and the Chicago Tribune. I guess it’s possible. If so, you would think he would want to set the record straight. Maybe he misspoke. That has certainly happened before. Again, why wouldn’t the rest of my colleagues show some curiosity about such a major and, frankly, bone-chilling proposition?
Are we talking about creating a police state here?
The U.S. Army alone has nearly 500,000 troops. That doesn’t count reserves or National Guard. In 2007, the U.S. Defense budget was $439 billion.
Is Obama serious about creating some kind of domestic security force bigger and more expensive than that?
If not, why did he say it? What did he mean?
So far, despite our attempts to find out, the Obama campaign is not talking.
At this point all I can do is enlist your help – and the help of every other journalist who still thinks the American people have a right to know the specifics about a presidential candidate’s biggest and boldest initiatives before the election. I also want to ask radio talk-show hosts across America to start asking this same question. I have a feeling if others join our quest, we might yet get clarification on this proposal from Obama.
Who will Obama appoint to administer this new “civilian national security force”? Where will the money come from? Where in the Constitution does he see justification for the federal government creating such a domestic army?
The questions are endless.
But before we can hope to get to the specifics, we need much more in the way of generalizations from Obama.
Certainly there have been initiatives like this elsewhere – Cuba, the Soviet Union, China, Venezuela, North Korea. But has anything like this ever been proposed in a free country?
I have a feeling there would be more questions from the press if I myself had proposed the creation of something as preposterous as a “civilian national security force” than there has been about this proposal by the presidential candidate currently leading in most of the polls. I’m quite sure I would be hung out to dry as some kind of Nazi thug. Meanwhile, Obama makes this wild suggestion and it is met with a collective yawn from the watchdogs.
Help me out here. What am I missing?

Obama's 2nd-term war on domestic opposition Exclusive: Joseph Farah sees feds rounding up BHO's biggest critics as security measure

Obama's 2nd-term war on domestic opposition

Exclusive: Joseph Farah sees feds rounding up BHO's biggest critics as security measure

Are you ready for a scary story?
I know it’s Halloween, but this is more terrifying than ghosts and goblins and vampires.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: If Barack Obama is re-elected Nov. 6 for a second term, he will declare a full-scale war on his domestic opposition.
There may not be another free and fair election in America.
I would expect due process to go the way of the horse and buggy.
I think he will move to shut down and destroy all independent media.
In fact, I think his biggest critics will be rounded up in the name of national security.
Last week, for instance, with little fanfare, Obama issued an executive order establishing something that sounds so innocent on the surface – but it could prove to be a vehicle for the kind of political putsch I am describing.
It establishes the “White House Homeland Security Partnership Council.”
What’s the purpose?
As Obama put it, to advance the federal government’s use of local partnerships to address homeland-security challenges. He claims to be doing it under the authority of the Constitution.
Why is such a council needed? Don’t we already have a Department of Homeland Security that works with local governments?
Of course we do.
But that’s not good enough for the power-hungry Obama.
He wants to be able to dictate who gets to participate in these local partnerships – and they don’t have to be local law enforcement or local government officials to do so. These partnerships will be with “the private sector, nongovernmental organizations, foundations and community-based organizations.” All of whom will be handpicked by Obama and those federal bureaucrats he appoints.
Essentially, Obama wants to deputize “community organizers” like him to determine who represents a real threat to the republic.
Maybe this is what Obama once called for when he suggested, as first reported in this column more than four years ago, by the way, the creation of “a civilian national security force that’s just as well-funded” as the U.S. military.
While campaigning for his first term July 2, 2008, in Colorado Springs, Obama said this: “We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”
These words have haunted me ever since.
Obama has never explained what he meant.
He’s never been called to account for that remark.
Doesn’t this sound like police-state talk to you?
The U.S. Army alone has nearly 500,000 troops. That doesn’t count reserves or National Guard. In 2007, the U.S. defense budget was $439 billion.
Is Obama serious about creating some kind of domestic security force bigger and more expensive than that? Is this part of his second-term agenda?
If not, why did he say it? What did he mean?
And what is this new homeland security bureaucracy he’s creating to operate under his own direction?
Not to put too fine a point on it, but where does he see in the Constitution the justification for the federal government or the president enlisting such a domestic army?
I think it’s worth recalling here that just over a year ago both houses of Congress unwisely passed the defense reauthorization bill that killed the concept of habeas corpus – legislation that authorized the president to use the U.S. military to arrest and indefinitely detain American citizens without charge or trial.
That legislation would empower a lame-duck Obama to use all of the power of the federal government – constitutional and unconstitutional – to target his political enemies.
If any Republican, conservative, independent journalist, pro-life activist, returning veteran, gun-rights activist, constitutionalist, Bible believer or critic of Obama thinks they will be safe in a second term under this would-be despot, they had better think again – real fast.

Death of America: Leaked US Army Document Outlines Plan for Re-Education Camps in America

Death of America: Leaked US Army Document Outlines Plan for Re-Education Camps in America

A leaked U.S. Army document prepared for the Department of Defense contains shocking plans for “political activists” to be pacified by “PSYOP officers” into developing an “appreciation of U.S. policies” while detained in prison camps inside the United States.
The document, entitled FM 3-39.40 Internment and Resettlement Operations (PDF) was originally released on a restricted basis to the DoD in February 2010, but has now been leaked online.
The manual outlines policies for processing detainees into internment camps both globally and inside the United States. International agencies like the UN and the Red Cross are named as partners in addition to domestic federal agencies including the Department of Homeland Security and FEMA.
The document makes it clear that the policies apply “within U.S. territory” and involve, “DOD support to U.S. civil authorities for domestic emergencies, and for designated law enforcement and other activities,” including “man-made disasters, accidents, terrorist attacks and incidents in the U.S. and its territories.”
The manual states, “These operations may be performed as domestic civil support operations,” and adds that “The authority to approve resettlement such operations within U.S. territories,” would require a “special exception” to The Posse Comitatus Act, which can be obtained via “the President invoking his executive authority.” The document also makes reference to identifying detainees using their “social security number.”
Aside from enemy combatants and other classifications of detainees, the manual includes the designation of “civilian internees,” in other words citizens who are detained for, “security reasons, for protection, or because he or she committed an offense against the detaining power.”
Once the detainees have been processed into the internment camp, the manual explains how they will be “indoctrinated,” with a particular focus on targeting political dissidents, into expressing support for U.S. policies.
The re-education process is the responsibility of the “Psychological Operations Officer,” whose job it is to design “PSYOP products that are designed to pacify and acclimate detainees or DCs to accept U.S. I/R facility authority and regulations,” according to the document.
The manual lists the following roles that are designated to the “PSYOP team”.
- Identifies malcontents, trained agitators, and political leaders within the facility who may try to organize resistance or create disturbances.
- Develops and executes indoctrination programs to reduce or remove antagonistic attitudes.
- Identifies political activists.
- Provides loudspeaker support (such as administrative announcements and facility instructions when necessary).
- Helps the military police commander control detainee and DC populations during emergencies.
- Plans and executes a PSYOP program that produces an understanding and appreciation of U.S. policies and actions.
Remember, this is not restricted to insurgents in Iraq who are detained in prison camps – the manual makes it clear that the policies also apply “within U.S. territory” under the auspices of the DHS and FEMA. The document adds that, “Resettlement operations may require large groups of civilians to be quartered temporarily (less than 6 months) or semipermanently (more than 6 months).”
The historical significance of states using internment camps to re-educate detainees centers around the fact that it is almost exclusively practiced by repressive and dictatorial regimes like the former Soviet Union and Stalinist regimes like modern day North Korea.
We have exhaustively documented preparations for the mass internment of citizens inside America, but this is the first time that language concerning the re-education of detainees, in particular political activists, has cropped up in our research.
In 2009, the National Guard posted a number of job opportunities looking for “Internment/Resettlement Specialists” to work in “civilian internee camps” within the United States.
In December last year it was also revealed that Halliburton subsidiary KBR is seeking sub-contractors to staff and outfit “emergency environment” camps located in five regions of the United States.
In 2006, KBR was contracted by Homeland Security to build detention centers designed to deal with “an emergency influx of immigrants into the U.S,” or the rapid development of unspecified “new programs” that would require large numbers of people to be interned.
Rex 84, short for Readiness Exercise 1984, was established under the pretext of a “mass exodus” of illegal aliens crossing the Mexican/US border, the same pretense used in the language of the KBR request for services.
During the Iran-Contra hearings in 1987, however, it was revealed that the program was a secretive “scenario and drill” developed by the federal government to suspend the Constitution, declare martial law, assign military commanders to take over state and local governments, and detain large numbers of American citizens determined by the government to be “national security threats.”
Under the indefinite detention provision of the National Defense Authorization Act, which was signed by Barack Obama on New Year’s Eve, American citizens can be kidnapped and detained indefinitely without trial.
Read a portion of the Internment and Resettlement Operations manual below.

The following portions of the document make it clear that the policies apply “within U.S. territory” (as well as abroad in countries like Iraq and Afghanistan) and that domestic federal agencies are involved.

SSDI changed Adam Lanza’s date-of-death from Dec. 13 to Dec. 14, 2012 !!!

SSDI changed Adam Lanza’s date-of-death from Dec. 13 to Dec. 14, 2012 !!!

The Social Security Death Index (SSDI) is a database of death records created from the federal government Social Security Administration’s Death Master File Extract. SSDI data are available free-of-charge on genealogy websites, including GenealogyBank.com.
On January 20, 2013, I did a post on the curious discovery that, according to SSDI, alleged Sandy Hook mass murderer Adam Lanza had died on December 13, 2012 — one day BEFORE the massacre of 20 children and 6 adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. This was the information was on the website GenealogyBank.com:
Adam P. Lanza: Social Security Death Index (SSDI) Death Record
Name: Adam P. Lanza
State of Issue: New Hampshire
Date of Birth: Wednesday April 22, 1992
Date of Death: Thursday December 13, 2012
Est. Age at Death: 20 years, 7 months, 21 days
Confirmation: Proven
I took a screenshot of that GenealogyBank.com page on Adam Lanza, as a prophylactic in case the site scrubs or alters the page. As you can see (bottom right of the image below), I took the screenshot at 2:29 pm on 1/20/2013:
As recent as two days ago, on January 31, 2013, I again went on that genealogybank.com page and saw that the SSDI date-of-death for Adam Lanza was still listed as December 13, 2012.
I just checked the site again.
You’re not gonna believe this -

The date of death is now changed to December 14, 2012!!!!!!!!!

Here’s a screenshot I just took, where you can see that it was taken at 1:32 PM on 2/2/2013:
Adam Lanza's altered SSDI
It is also noteworthy that of the 28 people (20 children, 8 adults) who allegedly were killed on December 14, 2012, in Newtown, Connecticut, SSDI had the date-of-death for 26 people (Nancy Lanza; 19 children and 6 adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School) as December 14, 2012. (There is no SSDI for one child victim, Ana Marquez-Greene.) Of the 28 people killed that day, only Adam Lanza’s date-of-death was December 13, 2012that is, until SSDI recently changed it to December 14, 2012.
In other words, according to the original SSDI entry, the man who we are told was the lone gunman who perpetrated the Sandy Hook massacre, had died the day before he killed his 27 victims!

Deadly embassy attacks were days in the making

CAIRO -- Days of planning and online promotion by hard-line Islamist leaders helped whip up the mobs that stormed the U.S. Embassy in Egypt and launched a deadly attack on the U.S. Embassy in Libya that killed an ambassador and three others.

As the U.S. tightened security worldwide at embassies and Libya's president apologized for the attack, details emerged of how the violence began, according to experts who monitor Egyptian media.
Christopher Stevens, 52, the U.S. ambassador to Libya, was killed, along with three other Americans, on Tuesday night when a mob of protesters and gunmen stormed the embassy in the eastern city of Benghazi.
In response, the Obama administration sent an anti-terrorism detail of Marines to reinforce security at U.S. diplomatic facilities, and the Pentagon said two warships were moving toward the Libyan coast.
The killings in Libya followed demonstrations in front of Cairo's U.S. Embassy, where protesters tore down the U.S. flag and scaled the embassy's wall.
The protest was planned by Salafists well before news circulated of an objectionable video ridiculing Islam's prophet, Mohammed, said Eric Trager, an expert at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy.
The protest outside the U.S. Embassy in Cairo was announced Aug. 30 by Jamaa Islamiya, a State Department-designated terrorist group, to protest the ongoing imprisonment of its spiritual leader, Sheikh Omar abdel Rahman. He is serving a life sentence in the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center.
When the video started circulating, Nader Bakkar, the spokesman for the Egyptian Salafist Noor party, which holds about 25% of the seats in parliament, called on people to go to the embassy. He also called on non-Islamist soccer hooligans, known as Ultras, to join the protest.
On Monday, the brother of al-Qaeda leader Ayman al Zawahiri, Mohamed al Zawahiri, tweeted that people should go to the embassy and "defend the prophet," Trager said.
Zawahiri justified al-Qaeda's 9/11 attacks in an interview with Al Jazeera last month.
"If America attacks the Arab peoples and their regimes do not defend them, somebody who does defend the Arab and Muslim peoples should not be considered a criminal," Zawahiri told the television network, according to a translation by MEMRI. "We have done nothing wrong."
A U.S. official, speaking to the Associated Press on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the situation publicly, said the Obama administration is investigating whether the assault on the U.S. consulate in Libya was planned to mark the anniversary of 9/11.
The State Department identified one of the other Americans as Sean Smith, a foreign service information management officer. The identities of the others were being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
A senior administrations official -- who briefed reporters on the details but requested anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly -- describe the assault as an intense hours-long firefight between heavily armed gunmen and U.S. and Libyan security personnel attempting to defend the diplomatic mission.
This is the official's story:
Stevens was on a routine visit to the consulate in Benghazi when the compound came under fire from unidentified gunmen. In 15 minutes the gunmen gained access to the compound.
Stevens was in the building with Smith. About 45 minutes into the battle U.S. security personnel assigned to a nearby security annex attempted unsuccessfully to fight their way into the building but were driven off. More than 30 minutes later U.S. and Libyan security personnel tried again and were able to get into the main building. They rescued the remaining staff and hustled them to the nearby annex.
Soon after, the annex came under fire in a battle that lasted two hours. After the fighting died down, Stevens was brought to a Benghazi hospital. His body was later turned over to the Americans at Benghazi airport.
The Muslim Brotherhood on Wednesday condemned the violence.

"Just because you are against something doesn't mean you have to kill," she said. "I think it's really a disaster."
The Muslim Brotherhood's political arm, the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), condemned the film in a statement Tuesday.
"The party considers the film a racist crime and a failed attempt to provoke sectarian strife between the two elements of the nation: Muslims and Christians," a statement said on the FJP's English-language website. "Moreover, the FJP considers this movie totally unacceptable, from the moral and religious perspectives, and finds that it excessively goes far beyond all reasonable boundaries of the freedoms of opinion and expression."
President Obama on Wednesday condemned the attack and ordered stepped-up security at diplomatic installations around the world.
"There is absolutely no justification for this type of senseless violence. None," the president said.
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said, "This was an attack by a small and savage group, not the government" or the people of Libya. She said it should "shock the conscience of people of all faiths around the world."
"Violence like this is no way to honor religions or faith, and as long as there are those who will take innocent lives in the name of God, the world will never know true and everlasting peace," she said.
Clinton said that Americans and Libyan security personnel fought alongside each other in an effort to defend the compound. She said Libyans brought Stevens' body to the hospital.
Clinton earlier called on Libyan President Mohammed el-Megarif to coordinate additional support to protect Americans in Libya.
El-Megarif described the attack as "cowardly" and offered his condolences on the death of Stevens and the three other Americans. Speaking to reporters, he vowed to bring the culprits to justice and maintain his country's close relations with the United States. He said the three Americans were security guards. "We extend our apology to America, the American people and the whole world," el-Megarif said.
Stevens was killed when he and a group of embassy employees went to the consulate to try and evacuate staff as the building came under attack by a mob with machine guns and rocket-propelled grenades.
By the end of the assault, much of the building was burned out and trashed. On Wednesday, Libyans wandered freely around the burned-out building, taking photos of rooms where furniture was covered in soot and overturned. Walls were scrawled with graffiti.
The State Department identified one of the other Americans as Sean Smith, a foreign service information management officer. The identities of the others were being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Ziad Abu Zeid, the Libyan doctor who treated Stevens, said he had "severe asphyxia," apparently from smoke inhalation, causing stomach bleeding, but had no other injuries. Stevens was practically dead when he arrived before 1 a.m. Wednesday, and "we tried to revive him for an hour and a half, but with no success," Abu Zeid said.
Stevens was a career diplomat who spoke Arabic and French and had already served two tours in Libya, including running the office in Benghazi during the revolt against Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi. He was confirmed as ambassador to Libya by the Senate this year.
His State Department biography, posted on the website of the U.S. Embassy to Libya, says he "considers himself fortunate to participate in this incredible period of change and hope for Libya."
Clinton said Stevens had a "passion for service, for diplomacy and for the Libyan people."
He "risked his own life to lend the Libyan people a helping hand to build the foundation for a new, free nation. He spent every day since helping to finish the work that he started," she said.
Sam Bacile, a 56-year-old California real estate developer who identifies himself as an Israeli Jew and who said he produced, directed and wrote the two-hour film, Innocence of Muslims, said he had not anticipated such a furious reaction.
Video excerpts posted on YouTube depict the Prophet Muhammad as a fraud, a womanizer and a madman in an overtly ridiculing way, showing him having sex and calling for massacres.

Speaking by phone from an undisclosed location, Bacile, who went into hiding Tuesday, remained defiant, saying Islam is a cancer and that he intended his film to be a provocative political statement condemning the religion.
"Islam is a cancer, period," he repeatedly said.
Florida pastor Terry Jones, the Gainesville-area pastor known for his virulent opposition to Islam, issued a statement on his website defending the film.
"The film is not intended to insult the Muslim community, but it is intended to reveal truths about Muhammad that are possibly not widely known," Jones said in statement.
Wednesday morning the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen Martin E. Dempsey, called Jones.
"In the brief call, Gen. Dempsey expressed his concerns over the nature of the film, the tensions it will inflame and the violence it will cause," said Marine Col. Dave Lapan, a spokesman for the Joint Chiefs of Staff. "He asked Mr Jones to consider withdrawing his support for the film."

Some Muslims believe that any depiction of the prophet Mohammed, positive or negative, is not allowed.
"Depicting the prophet Mohammed isn't forbidden but it is discouraged because deifying a human being can distract the faithful from worshiping god," said M. Zuhdi Jasser, a devout Muslim and author of the book A Battle for the Soul of Islam: An American Muslim Patriot's Fight to Save His Faith.
Those who believe that you can commit violence against those who depict the prophet are considered radical groups, Jasser said. He said that the attacks in Libya are "nothing short of pure evil and in no way representative of the teachings and practices of the faith of Islam."

"These crowds are using the movie as an excuse to wreak violence on Americans in Libya and Egypt," Jasser said. "To most Muslims, these excuses for violence that ultimately, even if they are offending or violating a tradition of the prophet, in no way justify any of these types of activities."

The Muslim Brotherhood burgeoned in popularity and presence after Mubarak was ousted in February 2011 and Morsi formerly headed its political party.
"Some people in the Middle East don't understand the relationship between government and media and think the (U.S.) government controls the media like they do here," said Said Sadek, political sociologist and affiliate professor at the American University in Cairo. "They are putting the blame on the U.S. government, which has nothing to do with it."
Anti-American sentiments are so deep in much of the Arab world that the film that angered Egyptian and Libyan protesters should be seen "not as a cause of the protests, but a pretext," said Shadi Hamid, director of research for the Brookings Doha Center.
In Egypt, especially, the U.S. government is seen as slow to support the uprising that felled Mubarak in February 2011, and supportive of a military-led transition, Hamid says. Egyptians know that U.S. administrations supported Egyptian dictators since the late 1970s, and supported other Arab ruling families and Israel for many decades more, he says.

Anti-American sentiments are less strong in Libya, where the U.S. helped oust Gadhafi, but unlike in Egypt, the Salafis in Libya are armed, which contributed to the level of violence, Hamid said.

Arab Muslims also "are not comfortable with the idea that freedom of speech can be used to attack religion," he said.

Although Arab liberals rarely feel the need to join the outcry, ultra-conservative Salafists view themselves as defenders of the faith and use religion to mobilize grass-roots support, Hamid said.

"Rather than rally around the flag they rally around religion, and it works," he said.
