The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract to Alliant Techsystems of Clearwater, Florida for the production of the AN/AAR 47 Missle Warning System. The Government's intent is to satisfy an immediate operational requirement for deliveries to be completed twelve months after contract award, with an option for FY16 work as well.The FY14 and 15 production contract will procure various AN/AAR-47 Missile Warning System Weaoins Replaceable Asseblies. The newly manufactured system will include A(V)2 and B(V)2 Integrated Optical Sensor Convertors, A(V)2 and B(V)2 Computer Processors, and Countermeasure Signal Simulator. Additionally, this effort will include the A(V)2 to B(V)2 retrofits for the United States Airforce assests, repari of hardware to Ready to Issue condition, and technical and cost data submissions. These systems are for installation on USN, USMC, USAF other services, and Foreign Military helicopters, rotorcraft, and low/slow fixed wing aircraft. This contract will consist of one base period (FY14) and one base year option (FY15). Please contact ATK for subcontracting oportuntities.
The authority permitting other than full and open competition is Title 10, U.S. Code 2304(c) (1), as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, "only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." This notice of intent is neither a request for proposals nor a solicitation of offers.
