Amazingly,  former neurosurgeon Ben Carson’s PAC has outraised Hillary Clinton and all  prospective 2016 GOP contenders besides himself over the last three months.
It is surprising to consider that Carson, a complete political novice, has garnered so much cash in this latest period. Or is it so surprising?
After all, according to the Blaze, Dr. Ben Carson is a very unique and successful man. He is a devout and unabashed Christian. Carson was the director of pediatric neurosurgery  at John Hopkins Hospital, a position the sixty one year old held for 28 years. Carson came from an underprivileged background on the streets of Detroit (his mother had a third grade education.) He was a pioneer in  the separation of conjoined twins. He even has had a movie made about his life.
John Philips Sousa IV, a descendant of the Stars and Stripes composer and head of Carson’s PAC, said the following to Newsmax about Carson’s fundraising success: “My gut tells me that the American people are looking for a citizen statesman, for a non-politician.”
Dr. Carson has said repeatedly that he has no interest in running for the Presidency unless God tells him to, but he is still doing very successful fundraising.
His unwillingness to run for the Presidency has not made him shy away from addressing political issues, though. His upcoming book, One Nation: What We Can Do to Save America’s Future, will delve into how he believes America can once again move forward out of its current political, financial, and moral decline. Carson says he has “never shared a more urgent message,” and further said:
Our growing debt and deteriorating morals have driven us far from the founders’ intent. We’ve made very little progress in basic education. Obamacare threatens our health, liberty and financial future. Media elitism and political correctness are out of control.
He also shared a video recently detailing what he would do if he actually did become President:
