Friend --

He might not admit it, but John Boehner knows we can beat him.

In the months since he let the government shut down, the Speaker of the House has been a lot less accommodating to some of the more extreme ideas in Washington. That's because we all raised hell, and the people responsible started feeling the consequences.

I know that sometimes it doesn't necessarily feel like we're winning, but you don't have to look too far to know that the momentum is on our side. Millions of people getting health insurance, marriage equality victories across the country, a conversation on climate change that is getting more serious every day -- that's change.

If we each do our part, there's no reason 2014 can't be one of the best years yet for our movement. But it makes moments like this week's fundraising deadline all the more important.

We need folks like you to step up and be an OFA member who comes through in the clutch -- donate $5 or more today.

Over the next few days, you're going to be getting more emails than usual from us. That's not an accident.

Think about how many times you've heard someone attack Obamacare, or repeat flat-out lies about climate change.

That's a direct result of interest groups behind the scenes, spending a fortune to try and counter the work we're doing out there. They're banking on the idea that you'll eventually get tired and move on to something else.

But just look at the facts on health care reform -- more than 5 million Americans have signed up for private plans since the marketplace opened. That's 5 million people the other side failed to convince. That's something that doesn't happen without people like you.

OFA is the place to be if you want to be on the front lines of the fight for change.

Be a member who's making an impact -- chip in $5 or more today before the critical March 31st deadline:

It's a privilege to work with people like you. I'm grateful just to know you're out there.

Thanks,

Jon
