Pat Caddell: Boehner purposely suppressing Benghazi investigation
Speaker Boehner has declined a request to create a select committee to investigate the Benghazi affairs despite demands from 160 members of Congress to create one.
John Boehner, who has been purposely suppressing anything on Benghazi because he knew what we found out this week, and he had approved it,” Caddell said. “These sales, these CIA teams on the ground which were sending weapons from Libya through Turkey to Syrian rebels without Congressional approval.”
Talk Show host Mark Levin has suggested that the Speaker of the House has cut a deal with President Obama in agreeing to suppress investigation of Benghazi. Levin said, “It’s obvious. He’s (John Boehner) been asked over and over again by a majority of the Republicans in the House to set up a special investigative committee, as is the tradition in these types of investigations, so that you concentrate expertise, resources and time in one special committee, rather than multiple committees that are also investigating other matters and overseeing other matters and handing bills and so forth.”
Levin further added, “It’s as if the Speaker of the House doesn’t want to get to the bottom of this,” speaking about Benghazi, and further suggested, “We have to draw a very sad conclusion. John Boehner does not want to know what took place in Benghazi on that horrific day and I’m honestly starting to think that he’s cut some kind of deal with Obama, because why else would he do this?”
At a time when millions of Americans, 160 members of Congress, and many others are demanding a full investigation of the events that happened in Benghazi, it remains puzzling why the Republican Speaker of the House, John Boehner, seems no more interested in investigating the Benghazi affair than does President Obama himself. If there is any possibility that such a deal has been cut between the two of them, it only serves to lead Americans to become even more cynical about their government and political leaders, and furthers feeds a perception that our political and governmental system is broken and needs major reform.
Appearing on the “Political Insiders” program on Fox News last week, long time Democratic political consultant Pat Caddell suggested that House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) is suppressing any investigation or other issues related to the terrorist attack on our consulate in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012.
