New York Satanists Plan Opposing Statue to Ten Commandments in Oklahoma

Something as simple as placing a statue of the Ten Commandments in the grass by a sidewalk shouldn’t be that big of a deal right? Well, apparently it is in Oklahoma, particularly if it is near the state capitol building. No, nobody wants to tear it down, but a New York based group wants to erect a statue right next to it of their religious figure – Satan. The New York based Satanic temple wants “equal religious representation” right next to the Ten Commandments. They will submit designs for something “tasteful,” of course.
Is this a joke, nope I’m afraid it isn’t boys and girls. The American Civil Liberties Union has taken up the case and is pursuing the Satanists’ rights with a religious zeal.

Fox News reports:
The Republican-controlled Legislature in this state known as the buckle of the Bible Belt authorized the privately funded Ten Commandments monument in 2009, and it was placed on the Capitol grounds last year despite criticism from legal experts who questioned its constitutionality. The Oklahoma chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union has filed a lawsuit seeking its removal.

But the New York-based Satanic Temple saw an opportunity. It notified the state’s Capitol Preservation Commission that it wants to donate a monument and plans to submit one of several possible designs this month, said Lucien Greaves, a spokesman for the temple.

“We believe that all monuments should be in good taste and consistent with community standards,” Greaves wrote in letter to state officials. “Our proposed monument, as an homage to the historic/literary Satan, will certainly abide by these guidelines.”

Greaves said one potential design involves a pentagram, a satanic symbol, while another is meant to be an interactive display for children. He said he expects the monument, if approved by Oklahoma officials, would cost about $20,000.
The circumstances surrounding this case are simply ludicrous. A stone monument of the Ten Commandments sits across the street from the U.S. Supreme Court, so what’s the big deal?  The term “Separation of Church and State” is not mentioned anywhere in the Constitution. However, there is this:
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

To me, I simply read that congress will not make any law respecting a religion or prohibiting someone from worshiping however they want. I do not see anything that says there cannot be a religious symbol on Government or public property. The Ten Commandments, also known as the Decalogue, are a set of biblical principles relating to ethics and worship, which play a fundamental role in Judaism and Christianity. Principles on which this nation was founded. They include instructions to worship only God and to keep the Sabbath, and prohibitions against idolatry, blasphemy, murder, theft, dishonesty, and adultery. Different groups follow slightly different traditions for interpreting and numbering them.
Satanism is not a world-wide major religion, but a cult. As we all know, Satan is the father of evil and lies (just like the occupant in the White House). In this “Politically Correct” charged world, where the few hold sway over the many by a number of means under the guise of “equality,” when are we going to simply say “Enough is enough”? To me, this entire episode playing-out in Oklahoma is nothing short of complete ridiculousness. Like I said in my previous article, it’s bad enough that I’m supposed to give radical Islam a pass when they rape and murder with impunity. It’s bad enough that I am forced to accept homosexuality as “normal healthy behavior.”  It’s also bad enough that I’m supposed to walk around saddled with “white guilt” for something none of my ancestors did to black people. But now because of some scumbag lawyer from the ACLU, I’m supposed to recognize and tolerate Satan? I don’t think so.
Barack Hussein Obama was lying when he said we are not a Christian nation- we are and always have been that. We tolerate others, but the very basis of our founding was on Judeo-Christian principles, not those of Islam, not Buddhist and certainly not those of Satan.
Christianity is under attack worldwide and because we “turn the other cheek” and under the guise of political correctness we are systematically being wiped-out. If you do not believe me, just take a look at what is happening in Europe. The enemies of Christ have all but conquered Europe and not a single sword has been raised, or a single shot has been fired there. Make no mistake, it will happen here if we do not act and act quickly.  Obama is purging our military of Christian heterosexual males and has all but outlawed the open worship of the Christian faith in our armed forces, but to be fair, he called the Islamic terrorist attack at Ft. Hood “workplace violence.”
Do you see now why we have to shake this yoke of evil from around our necks? If we fail to re-take the Senate and hold on to the majority in the House of Representatives, then there will not be “One nation under God” left to save by the time Obama is done with his second term.
