Man, Child Plummet From 60th Street Building

A man and a child were both pronounced dead following a fall from a 60th Street building. (Credit Monica Miller/WCBS 880)
Authorities said they received an emergency call reporting two jumpers from the 52-floor building around noon Sunday. Officers found a 30-year-old man and a 3-year-old child on the ground when they arrived.
Police said the man was pronounced dead at the scene and the child was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The circumstances of the fall were unclear. Authorities were investigating.
The address is a rental building listed as South Park Tower. The building is a short distance away from Columbus Circle and Lincoln Center.
