Russians wiretaps of Tsarnaevs leaked
Mama
Tsarnaev talked jihad with her darling son Tamerlan - the one she named
after one of history's most brutal jihad conquerors - according to 2011
wiretaps by the Russians, which have been recently revealed to American
authorities and now leaked to the media. Eileen Sullivan and Matt
Apuzzo of the AP report:
The accounts we are receiving in the media (see CBS's version here) are very fragmentary. Keep in mind that whoever is leaking information has an agenda of some sort. We have no idea what is not being revealed. To me, the most interesting snippet is this (from AP):
The two discussed the possibility of Tamerlan going to Palestine, but he told his mother he didn't speak the language there, according to the officials, who reviewed the information Russia shared with the U.S.
That sure sounds like he was part of a wider jihad movement, doesn't it? Picking which theatre of action in which to enlist.
I am suspicious that one reason this information was leaked by American authorities was to provide an excuse. Both AP and CBS reports include language like this (from CBS):
This sounds a lot like blaming the Russians for not doing more, as oppose to questioning the willful blindness to jihad that the Obama administration has enforced -- removing references to jihad from training materials, for instance. After all, CAIR, which has been allowed to help train American security personnel, tells people that "my jihad" is exercising 20 minutes a day, and such. So "vaguely" discussing jihad could, in the official view, amount to considering a health club membership.
Let's face it: for political (and geopolitical) reasons, official policy in this country has avoided confronting the uncomfortable fact that Islamic scripture, which must be taken as the literal word of Allah, commands violence against infidels, and establishes a system in which Muslims must rule and oppress infidels. It is the obligation of every real Muslim to advance the establishment of sharia law, with all its brutality, globally. Pretending that only radicals who "distort" Islam want to follow the injunctions of the faith is delusional. And that delusion has been, and remains, official policy. Boston was just a taste.
Russian authorities secretly recorded a telephone conversation in 2011 in which one of the Boston bombing suspects vaguely discussed jihad with his mother, officials said Saturday, days after the U.S. government finally received details about the call.
In another conversation, the mother of now-dead bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev was recorded talking to someone in southern Russia who is under FBI investigation in an unrelated case, officials said.

The conversations are significant because, had they been revealed earlier, they might have been enough evidence for the FBI to initiate a more thorough investigation of the Tsarnaev family.
As it was, Russian authorities told the FBI only that they had concerns that Tamerlan and his mother were religious extremists. With no additional information, the FBI conducted a limited inquiry and closed the case in June 2011.
