Welcomed the U.S. Republican Senator John McCain in force Thursday President Barack Obama's decision to increase military support for the Syrian opposition fighters, but again called for the imposition of no-fly zone in Syria and to provide the opponents of Bashar al-Assad with heavy weapons, anti-aircraft and armor.

The U.S. officials revealed that U.S. President Barack Obama allowed for the first time since the start of the Syrian crisis to provide the Syrian opposition with small arms and ammunition, after the United States confirmed that the use of the Syrian regime's chemical weapons.

The media quoted U.S. officials, who requested anonymity, as saying that Obama gave permission to send weapons to the Syrian Supreme Military Council.
