Former Texas Member Of Anti-Child-Abuse Group Busted For Child Porn
The indictment stems from an investigation by the Attorney General’s Cyber Crimes Unit which started with a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that indicated that one AOL user attempted to e-mail child pornography to another AOL customer on Sept. 16, 2007.
On May 29, 2008, authorities searched Garvey’s residence and seized computer equipment that contained 83 images of child pornography, the Attorney General’s Office said.
During the search of Garvey’s residence, investigators found a Bikers Against Child Abuse vest, the Attorney General’s Office said.
The organization revoked Garvey’s membership after authorities advised it of the arrest, the Attorney General’s Office said.
