Update: This collage is making the rounds that claims to show First Lady Michelle Obama visiting Saudi national Abdulrahman Alharbi. CAUTION:  At this time it seems legit but not officially verified.

Update: TheBlaze goes into 212,3B status and other VERY IMPORTANT information:
Screen-Shot-2013-04-24-at-10.24.50-AM
Subject is an exact match to NO FLY TPN# 1037506192. Derogatory information reviewed by W/C Mayfield and CW/C Maimbourg was found to be sufficient to request Visa revocation. NTC-P is requesting revocation of Foil# e3139541. Subject is inadmissible to the U.S. under INA 212(a)(3)(B)(i)(II). SAO was not completed prior to Visa issuance. Subject is currently in the United States, admitted F1 student, at Boston POE on 08/28/2012. Subject is a student at THE UNIVERSITY OF FINDLAY, 1000 NORTH MAIN STREET FINDLAY, OHIO 45840-3695. Subject has One (1) prior event #1648067, Fins promoted, NT record in place, No scheduled found at this time.  [Emphasis added]
Beck explained: “Subject is an exact match to that no fly order.  That means, we have been presented bad information…and it was reviewed, and found to be sufficient.  Subject has One (1) prior event...When they opened this when he was at the hospital, they found he’s already in the system!”
“A 212, 3B is from the Patriot Act…It is the biggest warning we can put on anybody,” he explained for those unfamiliar with the term.  “You do not put people’s name on there easily…this is a terrorist designation, and there is a panel of agencies that you have to go and make your case to.  It’s not like you’re standing in the hospital room and they say: ‘Make him a 212,3B.’   And if they are, they’re abusing their power….It is so rare that somebody’s name is taken off outside of death, that none of ours sources can tell us that it’s ever happened.  It is laughable what Janet Napolitano said yesterday.”

  • At the time the event file was created for Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi, it indicated he was “armed and dangerous”
  • Alharbi was admitted into the country under a “special advisory option,” which is usually reserved for visiting politicians, VIPs, or journalists.  The event file cover page indicates he was granted his statuswithout full vetting.
  • One of the first excuses given by law enforcement when confronted about Alharbi’s pending deportation was an expired visa.  But according to the event file, his visa is good until 11-NOV-2016.
  • The event file indicates he entered the U.S. on 08/28/12 in Boston, MA but says he is a student at the University of Findlay, in Findlay, Ohio.  He has an apartment in Boston, and doesn’t seem to have been a full-time student in Ohio.
  • When a file is created in the system the author(s) are notified via email when it is accessed, and given the email address of the person accessing, so there is a record within the government data system of who deleted them.  It was amended to remove the deportation reference, then someone later went in and tried to destroy both the original event file and an amended versions.  Copies had already been made.
  • The original event file was reviewed and approved by two high level agents – Chief Watch Commander Maimbourg and Watch Commander Mayfield.

Update: An excellent timeline on this story from TheBlaze
  • A Saudi national originally identified as a “person of interest” in the Boston Marathon bombing was set to be deported under section 212, 3B — “Security and related grounds” — “Terrorist activities” after the bombing on April 15
  • TheBlaze received word that the government may not deport the Saudi national — identified as Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi — as the story gained traction on April 18.
  • Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano refused to answer questions on the subject by Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-SC) on Capitol Hill on April 18, saying the inquiry was “so full of misstatements and misapprehension that it’s just not worthy of an answer.”
  • An ICE official said April 18 that a different Saudi national is in custody, but that he is “in no way” connected to the bombings.
  • Key congressmen of the Committee on Homeland Security request a classified briefing with Napolitano on April 22
  • New info provided to TheBlaze reveals Alharbi’s file was altered on the evening of April 17 to disassociate him from the initial charges
  • Sources say April 22 that the Saudi’s student visa specifically allows him to go to school in Findlay, Ohio, though he appears to have an apartment in Boston, Massachusetts.  A DHS official told TheBlaze Alharbi properly transferred his student visa to a school in Massachusetts
  • TheBlaze sources reveal April 22 that Alharbi was put on a terror watchlist after the bombing, andNapolitano confirms he was on a “watchlist” April 23.

Update: Janet Napolitano admits that the Saudi national Alhabri was put on a terrorist watch list.  She says it was done as a “precaution.”  (Its that easy to get put on a terrorist watch list? Just in case?)

Update: Here is the new article from TheBlaze covering all of the new information.  I’m very happy to have been able to stand with them this weekend on getting information out, now the flood gates are opening!

Update: TheBlaze is making several critical reveals today on this issue.  Congress has documents showing that Alharbi was going to be deported, this order was altered after the fact, and Alharbi is alleged to have been on a terror watch list.  There is much more to come from Glenn and we suggest that you follow him at www.TheBlaze.com We will digest it and report it here as well.

"When it comes to the Saudi-American relationship, the White House should be called the ‘White Tent.’"
- Mohammed Al-Khilewi, a Saudi diplomat who defected to the United States[
There is a very interesting timeline that I would like to share with everyone from the Business Insider I just found...
After 9/11, the Saudi ambassador demanded the evacuation of dozens of Saudi nationals, including bin Laden kin, before the FBI could properly question them. He got his wish, even though 15 of the 19 hijackers were Saudis and others had ties to the plot.
Jan. 14, 2013: President Obama meets in the Oval Office with Saudi minister of interior.
Jan. 16: Homeland Security Director Janet Napolitano signs "arrangement" with Saudi minister bestowing "trusted traveler" status on Saudi student visitors, shortcutting normal security screening procedures.
http://www.examiner.com/article/dhs-meets-with-saudi-prince-to-discuss-travel-program
Before I continue with this timeline, let me share with everyone what took place and was signed during this meeting.
Saudi Arabia and the United States have signed a “Trusted Traveler” agreement to facilitate and accelerate the trusted passenger screening on the principle of reciprocity in both Saudi and U.S. airports.
The Saudi state agency reported that Minister of Interior Prince Mohammed bin Naif and U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano “signed an agreement on arrangements relating to the implementation of a program of the 'Trusted Traveler' between the two countries.”
According to the agreement U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s trusted traveler program, Global Entry, will be implemented. Global Entry streamlines the screening process at airports for trusted travelers, allowing customs authorities to focus on those travelers they know less about, in order to more effectively identify potential threats and keep our borders and country secure.
Here is the Press Release of the meeting from the DHS website:
For Immediate Release
DHS Press Office
WASHINGTON—U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano today met with Saudi Arabian Interior Minister Prince Mohammed bin Nayef to discuss the ongoing partnership and cooperation between the United States and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to promote mutual security and economic prosperity.
“I am proud of the bond between the United States and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and today’s meeting marks another major step forward in our partnership,” said Secretary Napolitano. “By enhancing collaboration with the Government of Saudi Arabia, we reaffirm our commitment to more effectively secure our two countries against evolving threats while facilitating legitimate trade and travel.”
During the meeting, Secretary Napolitano and Interior Minister Prince Mohammed bin Nayef signed an arrangement to begin implementation of U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s trusted traveler program, Global Entry, in Saudi Arabia, and initiate discussions to establish a reciprocal program. Global Entry streamlines the screening process at airports for trusted travelers, allowing customs authorities to focus on those travelers they know less about, in order to more effectively identify potential threats and keep our borders and country secure.
Secretary Napolitano and Interior Minister Prince Mohammed bin Nayef also released a joint statement affirming ongoing cooperation on cyber crime, maritime security and infrastructure protection, and cooperation on cybersecurity, which is critical to both nations’ economic competitiveness and national security.
Here is the joint statement:
BETWEEN THE MINISTRY OF INTERIOR
OF THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA
AND
THE DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY
OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
The Ministry of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (MOI) and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) have a long history of working bilaterally and regionally to promote mutual security and economic prosperity. Both the MOI and DHS recognize that the development and promotion of these relations serves the joint interests of both the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America.
In effort to reaffirm the extraordinary bond between them and advance this partnership, MOI and DHS have signed an arrangement to begin implementation for each nation’s trusted traveler programs. The trusted traveler programs will facilitate trade and travel between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America and will help authorities from MOI and DHS more effectively identify potential threats to keep their borders and countries secure. The objective will be to start implementation within the next six months with full operations starting in 2014.
In addition, MOI and DHS note their emerging cooperation on cybersecurity. MOI and DHS have a mutual interest in partnering to protect critical vital government and private sector critical infrastructure of binational importance, and to make cyberspace more secure for citizens of both countries. Given the significance of each nation in the global economy, this partnership also contributes to global security.
Finally, MOI and DHS highlight the continuing effort in combating international security challenges in the areas of cyber crimes, physical infrastructure protection, and maritime security through the joint Office of Program Management-Ministry of Interior (OPM-MOI) initiative. These areas signal further the strong bond between MOI and DHS and recognize the vital importance for both of cooperation in the security field.
Jointly released in Washington on 16 January 2013.
Now let me continue with this timeline...
April 15: Saudi college student Abdulrahman Ali Alharbi is seen near the Boston marathon finish line with two other Saudis. He's tackled after fleeing the scene of one of the bombings. Authorities question him.
April 15: FBI agents search Alharbi's apartment, leave with bags of evidence. He's described as a "person of interest" in attacks.
April 16: Secretary of State John Kerry secretly meets with the Saudi foreign minister, locking out reporters who initially were told the meeting would be open.
As I shared with everyone in a previous article about this meeting, here is the actual exchange that took place between the Associated Press Journalist Mark Lee, and the State Department spokesman Patrick Ventrell :
http://shoebat.com/2013/04/17/video-state-department-spokesman-stumbles-over-question-about-why-meeting-between-kerry-and-saudi-foreign-minister-abruptly-closed/
April 16: Saudi ambassador phones several papers and insists neither Alharbi nor any Saudi nationals are involved in the bombings. Saudi officials visit the well-connected Alharbi at a Boston hospital.
Here is a example of one of those press releases
..".In a separate statement, the Saudi Embassy said a Saudi woman was among those injured, suffering from minor injuries due to glass fragments.
The Saudi government has been cracking down on Islamic militants since al-Qaida launched a wave of attacks in the country in 2003, killing dozens. It has sought to distance itself from terrorist acts in the past, including the Sept. 11 attacks, where 15 of the 19 hijackers involved were Saudi citizens.
In Washington, a Saudi embassy official said Saudis have not been informed by the U.S. of any Saudi who is considered a person of interest in the Boston Marathon bombings. The official confirmed that a Saudi woman, who was watching the race with her husband and child, was injured by "flying shrapnel."
The official, speaking on condition of anonymity because he wasn't authorized to speak publicly about the investigation, said the woman is not a person of interest and the official has no of information regarding any Saudis who may have been questioned."
Here is the actual press release from the Times Union"
April 17: Officials clear Alharbi, who's reportedly related to al-Qaida Gitmo detainees, as a person of interest.
April 17: FBI ID from photos and videos two Mideast-looking men with bags scouting scene of bombings and circulate them among law enforcement. AP, CNN and even Boston Globe report one arrest has been made. CNN describes suspect as "dark-skinned male." Media swarm Boston courthouse for arraignment.
April 17: Obama has sudden unscheduled meeting with the Saudi foreign minister at White House.
April 17: Justice Dept. scolds CNN for arrest report. FBI cancels press conference. Courthouse bomb scare.
April 17: Terror expert Steve Emerson reports ICE has been ordered to "deport" Alharbi for "national security" reasons, out of reach of FBI questioning.
April 18: Napolitano denies Alharbi will be deported. She also will not answer any questions at this time...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kdz-9OTQXOo
Now WHY would she refuse to answer ANY questions? Does it have ANYTHING to do to what took place on Jan 16, 2013 of this year?
Look how flustered and angry she is over this question...

Saudis to be spared US airport checks in 2014

Friday 12 April 2013

US Embassy press attaché Mofid Deak has said that the “Trusted Traveler” agreement signed recently by Interior Minister Prince Muhammad bin Naif with the United States will take effect in June 2014.

The agreement will allow Saudi citizens who frequently visit the US to pass through check points quickly without having to queue at airports.

Saudi Arabia is the only Arab country to be granted this privilege. A number of Asian and European countries are signatory to the “Trusted Traveler” agreement.

Deak pointed out that there are no Saudi citizens on the US black list. “We have actually overcome the crisis of Sept. 11”, he added.

The official dismissed rumors of Washington denying visa to a number of Saudi applicants on grounds of their visiting countries currently undergoing political upheavals.

Original Story, updates make the document go from most current to oldest.

Update: TheBlaze is reporting that the following was said this morning on Fox and Friends regarding the media disinformation:
“There is someone within the investigative unit of this story that has done the FBI a huge disservice,” he added later. “They took images, many many images, I’m talking dozens of images, and they set up websites that just about every American has the ablility to access. And they made it seem and appear that they were in search of other individuals, maybe two, three, or four others. And those images– you know they went around the ether. And people looked at them and they thought, ‘Well, obviously these must be the guys.’ Who was it on the inside who would even take those images, think about establishing a website, and put out misinformation. And I think one of the stories that will be talked about once this is all resolved is how the FBI and Boston police go back and look at their own investigative personnel to find out who had access to it, and who had the motivation to put out bad information… .”

Update: Congressional sources say that ICE was inaccurate in their statement that there was no deportation order for the Saudi national Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi.
The congressional source, however, said the information sent to Congress showed that a file was created on “Abdul Rahman Ali Al Harby” at 4 p.m. on Tuesday by an official with the National Targeting Center, a counterterrorism sub-agency of U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the Department of Homeland Security. The file stated that the individual is “linked to the Boston bombing” and was to be processed for revocation of his visa based on national security grounds, the congressional source revealed.

UPDATE VII (4:10 pm ET) — Immigrations and Customs Enforcement responded to TheBlaze’s report on Al Alharbi, calling our source’s claims “categorically false. Read the update here.

From a Saudi Arabian website.  Translated by Whalid Shoebat:
Ambassador to the royal crown, Adel ben Ahmad Al-Jubeir, had several phone calls with the paper as well as with the Royal family. He stated that very high-ranking, U.S. government officials stated that there is no suspicion of any Saudi nationals relative to the Boston marathon explosions.
The Saudi Consul General in New York, Abdel Karim Alqin assured Okaz that all Saudis have been cleared and two Saudis were injured, including Alharbi and a Saudi female doctor named Nura Khalid Saleh al-Ajaji.
Prince Saud al-Faisal, Prince Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah from the Foreign Ministry, and Prince Khaled bin Saud were involved in the entire affair.
Three other Saudis were cleared from the forbidden area, two of which were put in a hotel at the expense of the Saudi consulate
Alqin disclosed that he cleared three Saudis from the forbidden area and housed two of them in a hotel; the third stayed with a friend. He also met with a group of Saudi students, telling them to carry on with their lives and that Saudi ambassadors would handle everything. These students were also told not to cooperate with any media entities and to lay low.

Glenn Beck radio is now reporting that the Saudi national was being deported on suspicion of terror.

TheBlaze.com is now also doing an excellent compilation of the information surrounding this story: http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/04/18/report-saudi-national-ruled-out-as-suspect-in-boston-marathon-bombings-to-be-deported-on-national-security-grounds-next-week/

While all focus was being placed yesterday on the Gun Debate in the Senate, there was a meeting that took place within this administration that had gone virtually unnoticed.
The meeting that took place was the following:
Obama meets with Saudi foreign minister, discusses Syria.
Now what is very unusual about this meeting was, this:
The meeting was NOT on Obama's public schedule.
The spokeswoman, Caitlin Hayden, said the president joined a meeting between the Saudi official and Obama's national security adviser, Tom Donilon.
The president and Prince Saud al-Faisal reaffirmed the strong partnership between the United States and Saudi Arabia and discussed developments in the region, including the conflict in Syria," Hayden said in a statement.
There was also another meeting that took place in Washington with the Saudi Arabian Prince and the Secretary of State John Kerry.
A meeting Secretary of State John Kerry held with Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Saud Al-Faisal was" abruptly closed "to press coverage Tuesday morning.
Why was it "abruptly closed?" Keep in mind, this happened 24 hours after it was announced that a Saudi Arabian was first being questioned as a "suspect". Then the story changed that he was a "witness."

On Tuesday morning at 10AM, , Secretary of State Kerry, who was to meet with the Saudi Foreign Minister Al-Faisal . The meeting was quickly changed from a "Open Door" meeting to a "Closed one". Then i the decision was made that "NO photos will be allowed by the journalists of the meeting.
Fifteen Minutes before the meeting took place, the press that had gathered to cover the meeting were told of the "abrupt" changes.
When they were told of the changed all a State Department official told them was "Apologies for short notice,"
Later in the day when the State Department briefing took place, , the State Department spokesman Patrick Ventrell said the barring of the press from the meeting was due to Kerry's busy schedule.
"This was just a scheduling change on our part."
One of the Journalists form the Associated Press Matt Lee then asked this question to Patrick Ventrell:
"Are you really trying to say that this [meeting was moved from a] camera/photo op to being closed, for scheduling reasons? Is that seriously your answer: that because the secretary was tired after 10 days on the road and is going to the Hill tomorrow?" .
Ventral answered the question this way:
"What I’m saying is he has a very tight schedule here in the building and elsewhere," the fact Kerry met with Al-Faisal amidst that busy schedule reflects the importance of the U.S. Saudi-relationship."
Lee then replied to his answer to the question this way:
"So does it save time somehow, canceling the photo op? It doesn’t wash,"
He then said this:
"I find it hard to believe that you expect us to believe that that’s the real reason for this."
Ventrell also said that during the meeting with Kerry, Al-Faisal expressed his condolences over the Boston attack.

It was announced Wed night that the Saudi witness was being deported back to Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.
Here is form the Hill on the meeting…

This website also has some interesting things to say about the bombing when it happened:
http://www.globaljihad.net/view_news.asp?id=2396

Now it is being announced today :U.S. takes step toward possible military intervention in Syria.
What was discussed at that meeting with Obama and the Saudi Crown Prince? Syria!
The Pentagon is sending about 200 troops to Jordan to help deliver aid to refugees and to plan for possible military action, including a rapid buildup of forces.
Troops from the 1st Armored Division will establish a small headquarters near Jordan’s border with Syria to help deliver humanitarian supplies for a growing flood of refugees and to plan for possible military operations …

Let me add this just found about the suspect…
Ghanim Abdul Rahman Al Harbi is a citizen of Saudi Arabia who was held in extrajudicial detention in the United States’s Guantanamo Bay detention camps, in Cuba. The Department of Defense reports that Al Harbi was born on March 13, 1974, in Khobar, Saudi Arabia. He was repatriated without charge on July 15, 2007. Repatriated to Saudi custody, with fifteen other men, on July 16, 2007. On 2 November 2008 that British Prime Minister Gordon Brown toured the rehabilitation center for former Guantanamo detainees, and, while there spoke with al Harbi, Juma al Dossari, and other former detainees. The Daily Mail alleges that former detainees receive a flat, a job, and 20,000 pounds for a dowry, so they can get married. The Daily Mail report said that Al Dossari was now married. [ - ]
