court ethics in the spotlight. Crow, turns out, has allegedly done
Thomas a lot of favors.
Crow helped finance a Savannah library project dedicated to Thomas, gave Thomas a $15,000 bust of Lincoln, and gave Virginia Thomas $500,000 to start a Tea Party-related group that opposed President Obama's health care overhaul. Many of these gifts, as well as vacations on Crow's yachts and jets, were not disclosed, as all federal officials are required to do.
As for what Crow might get in return for his generosity, the magnate hasn't personally been party to Supreme Court litigation, but some of his companies have been involved in federal cases.
The nation's sole black Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas is on the news radar again he took money and other niceties from real estate magnate Harlan Crow. It is putting court ethics squarely in the spotlight, as it should.
So, why the silence from Clarence Thomas and SCOTUS? Not a good message for the only black Supreme Court justice. He's coming off a little like Uncle Tom, who can be bought and sold by the highest bidder.

The lines are being blurred The judiciary is supposed to be impartial ,but Conservatives don’t like or want a fair fight over the direction of this country, they are staking the deck.( Bush v Gore 2000) Gore won the popular vote but it took the Supreme Court for the first time in our history decided our election. I bring this up not to re-prosecute the 2000 election it to illustrate that the supreme court is now a tool for the right wing. The first thing all dictator due first stack the courts to always rule in your flavor.
