The Wall Street Journal’s Matt Bradley is now reporting Iraqi government forces have come under chemical attack.

There are now 12 people afflicted with chlorine gas poisoning in Dhuluyia, Iraq, following Islamic State attack on Iraqi security forces.

It would seem likely if such chemical weapons were in fact used, ISIS forces obtained them from Syria.

Now here’s where such a scenario gets increasingly murky:

Barack Obama, in his recently televised prime time address regarding the ISIS/ISIL threat, congratulated his own administration for, and I quote,

It is America that helped remove and destroy Syria’s declared chemical weapons so they cannot pose a threat to the Syrian people — or the world — again.

Either those declared and “destroyed” chemical weapons found their way into ISIS hands, or Barack Obama’s self congratulation left a whole slew of “undeclared” chemical weapons available in Syria.

So which is it – yet more gross incompetence by the Obama administration that has allowed the world’s most dangerous terrorist organization to have reportedly  obtained chemical weapons, or an intentional lie by an administration increasingly desperate to appear they are not as dangerously detached as more and more accuse them of being?

Likely both…
