Aaron Carson Vaughn, a member of SEAL Team Six, was killed in August, 2011 when a Chinook helicopter carrying 30 American troops was shot down over Afghanistan. Now, Vaughn’s parents, Karen and Billy, have written an open letter to President Obama, condemning the Commander in Chief for his “cowardly lack of leadership” following the death of another American at the hands of terrorists — James Foley, the journalist beheaded by ISIS.
The British newspaper The Daily Mail has printed the letter in which Vaughn’s angry, grieving mother and father call out Obama in no uncertain terms, charging:

“You are not up to this job. You know it. We know it. The world knows it.”
The Vaughns’ letter shows that they were incensed over Obama’s running off to go golfing and yucking it up with friends immediately after the president held a news conference on the beheading of Foley, which was captured on video.
The couple go on to directly ask Mr Obama to resign so that a man or woman ‘of courage and substance’ can take over and address the ‘out-of-control thug fest’ happening in Syria and Iraq, where ISIS is attempting to establish a caliphate.
‘It’s time for you to step down and allow a true leader to restore our honor and protect our sons and daughters…
‘America has always been exceptional. And she will be again. You, Mr President, are a bump in the road,’ they wrote.
With permission of Karen and Billy Vaughn, The Daily Mail has shared the entire open letter to the president.
