Abu-Umamah narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "He who does not join the warlike expedition (jihad), or equip, or looks well after a warrior's family when he is away, will be smitten by Allah with a sudden calamity. Yazid ibn Abdu Rabbihi added in his narration: 'before the Day of Resurrection'" (Sunan of Abu-Dawood)
Anas (RAA) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Use your property, your persons and your tongues in striving against the polytheists" (Sunan of Abu-Dawood).
Abu Harayrah (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "One who dies without fighting in the way of Allah nor expressing any desire (or determination) for Jihad dies the death of a hypocrite". (Sahih Muslim)
