Rare agreement between Al-Azhar and the Vatican and the Church of England Anti-Slavery
United-Azhar and the Catholic Church and the Church of England on
Monday in calling for an end modern-day slavery in 20 years in what is
rarely an agreement between the religions.
Al-Azhar, issued a joint statement on Churches establish a "global
network of freedom" which was announced in a joint statement that its
own "physical and economic exploitation and sexual abuse of men, women
and children" to make 30 million people in the world trapped in slavery.
In addition to agreeing on a global day of prayer for victims of
slavery, it was agreed to "cleanse all supply activities and private
investment institutions, three of slavery and to take remedial action if
necessary," and put pressure on governments and companies to do the
same thing.
