Last night, Brit Hume appeared on The Kelly File to talk about the latest revelations concerning Benghazi. Documents, shared by host Megyn Kelly, reveal that the Obama Administration was told that Benghazi was a terrorist attack just minutes after the attack occurred.
So why did UN Ambassador Susan Rice appear on all five Sunday talk shows just days later and claim that the attack on the US Embassy in Benghazi was a spontaneous result of a YouTube video?
Well, that’s the question that a lot of us have been asking for months. Of course, by “us” we mean “anyone who doesn’t work at MSNBC.”
Kelly asked Hume why the President would intentionally lie about something like that. Instead, Kelly noted, he could have sent Rice on all the Sunday talk shows just to say that the investigation into what happened was ongoing.
“Well then you say ‘No Comment,’” Hume replied. “Then you say ‘No Comment,’ or you don’t have to discuss it at all. You don’t send somebody out to tell a whopper on every single Sunday talk show. And, you know, that was a person who herself − she was a senior member of the State Department. She had access to intelligence.”
