During
the month of April I watched a couple broadcasts of The Believer's Voice of Victory
on television. Gloria Copeland
was talking with Billye Brim on the show, and
they were discussing God's plans to give America a spiritual awakening.
Billye
spoke about how the Lord had shown her that
both Oral Roberts and Billy Graham had to die at specific points in
history, and
she basically suggested that the passings of
these two preachers would both be prophetic signs from Heaven. The
deaths of
them each would signify that the Holy Spirit
was moving to fulfill His prophecies about the revival He has been
indicating
will come.
Billye mentioned
that in 2008 the Lord had given her the
prophetic word, “One thing will save America...and it is an awakening to
God.” Then she said that she believed this
awakening would begin in the midst of groups that are devoted to prayer.
As I see it, that already happened following
the death of Oral Roberts.
Oral died in December
2009, and that month the International House
of Prayer in Kansas City held it annual “Onething Conference.”
Here I.H.O.P. shared the anointing from its
university's “student awakening” with about 20,000 people.
It was from this conference that GOD TV first
began to broadcast these renewal meetings from the heart of America to
over
200 nations, inspiring prayer warriors
worldwide.
Wes Hall, the
main leader of the IHOP Awakening, spoke on Wednesday the 5th
(of May) about how he feels certain that this current
outpouring is only a small taste of what is
to come to the United States. He likened this movement to the cloud the
size of
a man's hand that Elijah was told about in 1
Kings 18:44, which foreshadowed a mighty downpour of rain. I believe
this means the entire country is soon to
experience mighty a move of God. The praying church is simply being
given a sample
of it now.
If it is true
that Billy Graham's passing will mark the
release of Christ's power as Oral Robert's did, then this means the next
phase of
this great awakening will begin near that
time! Let us pray and believe, full of confident faith, that our Father
is giving
us the moral revolution that our land so
desperately needs. A new level of miracles, salvations, and the weight
of God's presence
is soon to come!
