“A recent study (around Fukushima radiation release) was prepared for
Greenpeace Germany by international nuclear safety expert Dr. Helmut
Hirsch.
Dr. Hirsch’s assessment, based on data published by the French
government’s radiation protection agency (IRSN) and the Austrian
government’s Central Institute for Meteorology and Geodynamics (ZAMG)
found that the total amount of unstable radionuclides Iodine-131 and
Caesium-137 released between March 11 and March 23 has been so high that
the Fukushima crisis already equates to three INES 7 incidents.

Fukushima has been spewing the equivalent of 112 Hiroshima-type nuclear
bombs worth of radiation every hour, of every day, starting from March
11, and ending the measurement on March 23, 2011. Of course, the
radiation spewing out of the reactors did not magically end on that
day.
The amount of deadly, invisible radiation pouring out of Fukushima
complex of multiple reactors and spent fuel pools into the air,
groundwater and ocean has been reduced (but no one knows how much
exactly) since the peak of the crisis, when there were multiple
explosions, fires and meltdowns, largely due to heroic actions by a few
'suicide' workers.
But now the Japanese are still dealing with three melted through coriums
at Fukushima. These 100 ton out of control nuclear fire balls are
fissioning underground, releasing radiation 24 hours a day, 365 days a
year, into the air, groundwater and ocean. In addition, multiple spent
fuel pools as well as multiple wrecked, leaking reactors are also
spewing deadly radiation in all directions, despite the government
claiming 'cold shutdown'.
