7 Foreign Chemical Engineering Students Caught Trespassing At Boston Area Water Reservoir At Midnight, Released

This story breaking out of the Boston area is disturbing. Shortly after midnight, 7 people have been caught trespassing at a large reservoir that provides drinking water for the Boston area. The 7 people, recent college graduates with degrees in the field of chemical engineering who are from Pakistan, Singapore and Saudi Arabia, were let go and will be requested to appear in court at some time in the future. Video reports below.

This story clearly reeks to high heaven. Why would 7 chemical engineering majors be scoping out a water reservoir at midnight? Why would these 7 people have been let go? Does anyone REALLY think that they will show up for court? Why are they being protected?

Shortly after midnight Tuesday, seven people were caught trespassing at the Quabbin Reservoir.

State Police say the five men and two women are from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore, and “cited their education and career interests” for being in the area. The men told police they were chemical engineers and recent college graduates.

The Quabbin, in Belchertown, is one of the country’s largest man-made public water supplies. Boston’s drinking water comes from the Quabbin and the Wachusett Reservoirs.

State Police say there were no warrants or advisories on any of the individuals and “there was no evidence that the seven were committing any crime beyond the trespassing.”

All seven were allowed to leave and will be summonsed to court for trespassing. The FBI is investigating and routine checks of public water supplies have been increased following the incident.

Comments on the FreeRepublic Forum linked above agree, something stinks to high heaven here.:

“Seven Mohammedan Chemical Engineering grads wandering around Boston’s main water supply after midnight last night. Nothing to see here. Move along.”

Ok, the article in post 4: State troopers saw their cars, pulled in to investigate, and at that point actually saw the people in question walking back to their cars. Interesting. And interesting too that some were “local” i.e. 5 College students, while at least one was from Cambridge (say, wasn’t that city in the news for another muslim reason recently?), and one from New York city (also a target of the Tsarnaev brothers).
