Federal Appeals Court Delivers Legal Slap Across Obama’s Face…

In what equates to a hard legal slap across the face of the newly re-elected president, a federal appeals court overturned Barack Obama’s National Labor Relations Board appointments from last year – indicating the appointments were an abuse of power by the president.  OUCH.

(Somebody actually said NO to me?)

DEVELOPING: Obama recess appointments unconstitutional, court

In a case freighted with major constitutional implications, a federal appeals court on Friday overturned President Obama’s controversial recess appointments from last year, ruling he abused his powers and acted when the Senate was not actually in a recess.
The three-judge panel’s ruling is a major blow to Mr. Obama. The judges ruled that the appointments Mr. Obama made to the National Labor Relations Board are illegal, and the board no longer has a quorum to operate.
But the ruling has even broader constitutional significance, with the judges arguing that the president’s recess appointment powers don’t apply to “intrasession” appointments — those made when Congress has left town for a few days or weeks.  LINK

The three disputed appointments to the NLRB were Barack Obama’s attempts to once again do the bidding of his Big Labor supporters.  Readers of this blog might recall hints that Wall Street Insider gave last year regarding the NLRB and a potential legal challenge that was forming against President Obama.  It appears that challenge has met with victory for opponents of the Obama White House.  The case will now likely be bumped up to the Supreme Court though as Obama operatives continue their work to further this Imperial Presidency…
