President Bush signed Executive Order 13224 on September 23, 2001. Executive Order 13224 gives the U.S. Government a powerful tool to impede terrorist funding and is part of our national commitment to lead the international effort to bring a halt to the evil of terrorist activity. President Bush issued Executive Order 13224 pursuant to the authorities of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (50 U.S.C. 1701 et seq.)(IEEPA), the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. 1601 et seq.), section 5 of the United Nations Participation Act of 1945, as amended (22 U.S.C. 287c)(UNPA), and section 301 of title 3, United States Code. In issuing Executive Order 13224, President Bush declared a national emergency to deal with the unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security, foreign policy, and economy of the United States posed by grave acts of terrorism and threats of terrorism committed by foreign terrorists, including the terrorist attacks in New York and Pennsylvania, and on the Pentagon committed on September 11, 2001, and the continuing and immediate threat of further attacks on U.S. nationals or the United States.
In general terms, the Order provides a means by which to disrupt the financial support network for terrorists and terrorist organizations by authorizing the U.S. government to designate and block the assets of foreign individuals and entities that commit, or pose a significant risk of committing, acts of terrorism. In addition, because of the pervasiveness and expansiveness of the financial foundations of foreign terrorists, the Order authorizes the U.S. government to block the assets of individuals and entities that provide support, services, or assistance to, or otherwise associate with, terrorists and terrorist organizations designated under the Order, as well as their subsidiaries, front organizations, agents, and associates.
Designation Criteria In addition to the 29 individuals and entities designated by the President and listed in the Annex to the Executive Order, as amended by Executive Order 13268 of July 2, 2002, the Order provides authority for the designation (and blocking of assets) of additional individuals or entities (defined to mean partnerships, associations, corporations, or other organizations, groups, or subgroups):

  • The Secretary of State, in consultation with the Secretary of the Treasury and the Attorney General, may designate foreign individuals or entities that he determines have committed, or pose a significant risk of committing, acts of terrorism that threaten the security of U.S. nationals or the national security, foreign policy, or economy of the U.S.;
  • The Secretary of the Treasury, in consultation with the Secretary of State and the Attorney General, may designate individuals or entities that are determined:
  • To be owned or controlled by, or act for or on behalf of an individual or entity listed in the Annex to the Order or by or for persons determined to be subject to subsection 1(b), 1(c), or 1(d)(i) of this Order;
  • To assist in, sponsor, or provide financial, material, or technological support for, or financial or other services to or in support of, acts of terrorism or individuals or entities designated in or under the Order; or
  • To be otherwise associated with certain individuals or entities designated in or under the Order.
For the purpose of the Order, "terrorism" is defined to be an activity that (1) involves a violent act or an act dangerous to human life, property, or infrastructure; and (2) appears to be intended to intimidate or coerce a civilian population; to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination, kidnapping, or hostage-taking.
Designation Process The Executive Order authorizes both the Secretary of State, in consultation with the Secretary of the Treasury and the Attorney General, or the Secretary of the Treasury, in consultation with the Secretary of State and the Attorney General, to designate individuals and entities pursuant to the specified criteria described above.
Once the Secretary of State or the Secretary of the Treasury designates an individual or entity, the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the Department of the Treasury takes appropriate action to block the assets of the individual or entity in the United States or in the possession or control of U.S. persons, including notification of the blocking order to U.S. financial institutions, directing them to block the assets of the designated individual or entity. Notice of the designation is also published in the Federal Register. OFAC also adds the individual or entity to its list of Specially Designated Nationals, by identifying such individuals or entities as Specially Designated Global Terrorists (SDGTs), and posts a notice of this addition on the OFAC website. Designations remain in effect until the designation is revoked or the Executive Order lapses or is terminated in accordance with U.S. law.
Effects of Designation

Legal Consequences
  1. With limited exceptions set forth in the Order, or as authorized by OFAC, all property and interests in property of designated individuals or entities that are in the United States or that come within the United States, or that come within the possession or control of U.S. persons are blocked.
  1. With limited exceptions set forth in the Order, or as authorized by OFAC, any transaction or dealing by U.S. persons or within the United States in property or interests in property blocked pursuant to the Order is prohibited, including but not limited to the making or receiving of any contribution of funds, goods, or services to or for the benefit of individuals or entities designated under the Order.
  1. Any transaction by any U.S. person or within the United States that evades or avoids, or has the purpose of evading or avoiding, or attempts to violate, any of the prohibitions in the Order is prohibited. Any conspiracy formed to violate any of the prohibitions is also prohibited.
  1. Civil and criminal penalties may be assessed for violations.
Other Effects
  1. Deters donations or contributions to designated individuals or entities.
  1. Heightens public awareness and knowledge of individuals or entities linked to terrorism.
  1. Alerts other governments to U.S. concerns about individuals or entities aiding terrorism, and promotes due diligence by such governments and private sector entities operating within their territories to avoid associations with terrorists.
  1. Disrupts terrorist networks, thereby cutting off access to financial and other resources from sympathizers.
  1. Encourages designated entities to get out of the terrorism business.

Executive Order 13224 By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (50 U.S.C. 1701 et seq.)(IEEPA), the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. 1601 et seq.), section 5 of the United Nations Participation Act of 1945, as amended (22 U.S.C. 287c) (UNPA), and section 301 of title 3, United States Code, and in view of United Nations Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 1214 of December 8, 1998, UNSCR 1267 of October 15, 1999, UNSCR 1333 of December 19, 2000, and the multilateral sanctions contained therein, and UNSCR 1363 of July 30, 2001, establishing a mechanism to monitor the implementation of UNSCR 1333,
I, GEORGE W. BUSH, President of the United States of America, find that grave acts of terrorism and threats of terrorism committed by foreign terrorists, including the terrorist attacks in New York, Pennsylvania, and the Pentagon committed on September 11, 2001, acts recognized and condemned in UNSCR 1368 of September 12, 2001, and UNSCR 1269 of October 19, 1999, and the continuing and immediate threat of further attacks on United States nationals or the United States constitute an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security, foreign policy, and economy of the United States, and in furtherance of my proclamation of September 14, 2001, Declaration of National Emergency by Reason of Certain Terrorist Attacks, hereby declare a national emergency to deal with that threat. I also find that because of the pervasiveness and expansiveness of the financial foundation of foreign terrorists, financial sanctions may be appropriate for those foreign persons that support or otherwise associate with these foreign terrorists. I also find that a need exists for further consultation and cooperation with, and sharing of information by, United States and foreign financial institutions as an additional tool to enable the United States to combat the financing of terrorism.
I hereby order:

Section 1. Except to the extent required by section 203(b) of IEEPA (50 U.S.C. 1702(b)), or provided in regulations, orders, directives, or licenses that may be issued pursuant to this order, and notwithstanding any contract entered into or any license or permit granted prior to the effective date of this order, all property and interests in property of the following persons that are in the United States or that hereafter come within the United States, or that hereafter come within the possession or control of United States persons are blocked:
(a) foreign persons listed in the Annex to this order;
(b) foreign persons determined by the Secretary of State, in consultation with the Secretary of the Treasury and the Attorney General, to have committed, or to pose a significant risk of committing, acts of terrorism that threaten the security of U.S. nationals or the national security, foreign policy, or economy of the United States;
(c) persons determined by the Secretary of the Treasury, in consultation with the Secretary of State and the Attorney General, to be owned or controlled by, or to act for or on behalf of those persons listed in the Annex to this order or those persons determined to be subject to subsection 1(b), 1(c), or 1(d)(i) of this order;
(d) except as provided in section 5 of this order and after such consultation, if any, with foreign authorities as the Secretary of State, in consultation with the Secretary of the Treasury and the Attorney General, deems appropriate in the exercise of his discretion, persons determined by the Secretary of the Treasury, in consultation with the Secretary of State and the Attorney General;
(i) to assist in, sponsor, or provide financial, material, or technological support for, or financial or other services to or in support of, such acts of terrorism or those persons listed in the Annex to this order or determined to be subject to this order; or
(ii) to be otherwise associated with those persons listed in the Annex to this order or those persons determined to be subject to subsection 1(b), 1(c), or 1(d)(i) of this order.
Sec. 2. Except to the extent required by section 203(b) of IEEPA (50 U.S.C. 1702(b)), or provided in regulations, orders, directives, or licenses that may be issued pursuant to this order, and notwithstanding any contract entered into or any license or permit granted prior to the effective date:
(a) any transaction or dealing by United States persons or within the United States in property or interests in property blocked pursuant to this order is prohibited, including but not limited to the making or receiving of any contribution of funds, goods, or services to or for the benefit of those persons listed in the Annex to this order or determined to be subject to this order;
(b) any transaction by any United States person or within the United States that evades or avoids, or has the purpose of evading or avoiding, or attempts to violate, any of the prohibitions set forth in this order is prohibited; and
(c) any conspiracy formed to violate any of the prohibitions set forth in this order is prohibited.
Sec. 3. For purposes of this order:
(a) the term "person" means an individual or entity;
(b) the term "entity" means a partnership, association, corporation, or other organization, group, or subgroup;
(c) the term "United States person" means any United States citizen, permanent resident alien, entity organized under the laws of the United States (including foreign branches), or any person in the United States; and
(d) the term "terrorism" means an activity that --
(i) involves a violent act or an act dangerous to human life, property, or infrastructure; and
(ii) appears to be intended --
(A) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population;
(B) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or
(C) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination, kidnapping, or hostage-taking.
Sec. 4. I hereby determine that the making of donations of the type specified in section 203(b)(2) of IEEPA (50 U.S.C. 1702(b)(2)) by United States persons to persons determined to be subject to this order would seriously impair my ability to deal with the national emergency declared in this order, and would endanger Armed Forces of the United States that are in a situation where imminent involvement in hostilities is clearly indicated by the circumstances, and hereby prohibit such donations as provided by section 1 of this order. Furthermore, I hereby determine that the Trade Sanctions Reform and Export Enhancement Act of 2000 (title IX, Public Law 106-387) shall not affect the imposition or the continuation of the imposition of any unilateral agricultural sanction or unilateral medical sanction on any person determined to be subject to this order because imminent involvement of the Armed Forces of the United States in hostilities is clearly indicated by the circumstances.
Sec. 5. With respect to those persons designated pursuant to subsection 1(d) of this order, the Secretary of the Treasury, in the exercise of his discretion and in consultation with the Secretary of State and the Attorney General, may take such other actions than the complete blocking of property or interests in property as the President is authorized to take under IEEPA and UNPA if the Secretary of the Treasury, in consultation with the Secretary of State and the Attorney General, deems such other actions to be consistent with the national interests of the United States, considering such factors as he deems appropriate.
Sec. 6. The Secretary of State, the Secretary of the Treasury, and other appropriate agencies shall make all relevant efforts to cooperate and coordinate with other countries, including through technical assistance, as well as bilateral and multilateral agreements and arrangements, to achieve the objectives of this order, including the prevention and suppression of acts of terrorism, the denial of financing and financial services to terrorists and terrorist organizations, and the sharing of intelligence about funding activities in support of terrorism.
Sec. 7. The Secretary of the Treasury, in consultation with the Secretary of State and the Attorney General, is hereby authorized to take such actions, including the promulgation of rules and regulations, and to employ all powers granted to the President by IEEPA and UNPA as may be necessary to carry out the purposes of this order. The Secretary of the Treasury may redelegate any of these functions to other officers and agencies of the United States Government. All agencies of the United States Government are hereby directed to take all appropriate measures within their authority to carry out the provisions of this order.
Sec. 8. Nothing in this order is intended to affect the continued effectiveness of any rules, regulations, orders, licenses, or other forms of administrative action issued, taken, or continued in effect heretofore or hereafter under 31 C.F.R. chapter V, except as expressly terminated, modified, or suspended by or pursuant to this order.
Sec. 9. Nothing contained in this order is intended to create, nor does it create, any right, benefit, or privilege, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law by a party against the United States, its agencies, officers, employees or any other person.
Sec. 10. For those persons listed in the Annex to this order or determined to be subject to this order who might have a constitutional presence in the United States, I find that because of the ability to transfer funds or assets instantaneously, prior notice to such persons of measures to be taken pursuant to this order would render these measures ineffectual. I therefore determine that for these measures to be effective in addressing the national emergency declared in this order, there need be no prior notice of a listing or determination made pursuant to this order.
Sec. 11. (a) This order is effective at 12:01 a.m. eastern daylight time on September 24, 2001.
(b) This order shall be transmitted to the Congress and published in the Federal Register.

 Treasury Designates the Union of Good

11/12/2008 HP-1267
Washington, DC-The U.S. Department of the Treasury today designated the Union of Good, an organization created by Hamas leadership to transfer funds to the terrorist organization.
"Terrorist groups such as Hamas continue to exploit charities to radicalize vulnerable communities and cultivate support for their violent activities," said Stuart Levey, Under Secretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence.  "The U.S. Government will continue to expose and undermine the activities of charities working on behalf of Hamas and other terrorist groups.  At the same time, we are working with the charitable sector to expand the range of legitimate alternatives forproviding charitable assistance to the Palestinian people."
Union of Good was designated today under Executive Order 13224, which targets terrorists, terrorist organizations, and those providing financial, technological, or material support to terrorists, terrorist organizations, or acts of terrorism. Any assets the Union of Good holds under U.S. jurisdiction are frozen and U.S. persons are prohibited from engaging in any transactions with the Union of Good.
The leadership of Hamas created the Union of Good in late-2000, shortly after the start of the second Intifada, in order to facilitate the transfer of funds to Hamas. The Union of Good acts as a broker for Hamas by facilitating financial transfers between a web of charitable organizations--including several organizations previously designated under E.O. 13224 for providing support to Hamas--and Hamas-controlled organizations in the West Bank and Gaza. The primary purpose of this activity is to strengthen Hamas' political and military position in the West Bank and Gaza, including by: (i) diverting charitable donations to support Hamas members and the families of terrorist operatives; and (ii) dispensing social welfare and other charitable services on behalf of Hamas.
Among the primary financiers of Union of Good projects are several organizations designated pursuant to E.O. 13224 for providing support to Hamas and other terrorist groups, including the International Palestine Relief and Development Fund (Interpal), Al- Aqsa Foundation, Comite de Bienfaisance et de Secours aux Palestiniens (CBSP), the Association de Secours Palestiniens (ASP) of Switzerland, the Palestinian Association in Austria (PVOE), and the Sanabil Association for Relief and Development in Lebanon. The Union of Good facilitates the transfer of tens of millions of dollars a year to Hamas- managed associations in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
Funds raised by the Union of Good affiliates have been transferred to Hamas-managed organizations in the West Bank and Gaza. In addition to providing cover for Hamas financial transfers, some of the funds transferred by the Union of Good have compensated Hamas terrorists by providing payments to the families of suicide bombers. One of them, the Al-Salah Society, previously identified as a key support node for Hamas, was designated in August 2007 under E.O. 13224. The Society employed a number of members of the Hamas military wing and supported Hamas-affiliated combatants during the first Intifada.
The Union of Good's executive leadership and board of directors includes Hamas leaders, Specially Designated Global Terrorists (SDGTs), and other terrorist supporters. The secretary general of the Union of Good, for example, also acts as the vice-chairman of the United Kingdom-based Interpal, which was designated in 2003 for providing financial support to Hamas under the cover of charitable activity. As of mid-2007, this official served on the Hamas executive committee under Hamas leader Khaled Misha'al.
Board members of the Union of Good include a West Bank Hamas member, and Abd alMajid al-Zindani, a Yemen-based Hamas fundraiser who was designated pursuant to E.O. 13224 in 2004 for providing support to al-Qaida. In 2006, Zindani delivered a fundraising speech at a Hamas conference in Yemen where the crowd pledged millions of riyals for Hamas.
The United States is also actively working with the Arab-American community and other interested donors to provide alternate relief mechanisms to the Palestinian people as we take action against the HAMAS charitable infrastructure.

The Obama Family Needs To be Arrested, Found To Be In Secret Plot To Establish Islamic Law

The Obama Family Needs To be Arrested, Found To Be In Secret Plot To Establish Islamic Law

By Walid Shoebat
EXCLUSIVE

This report includes all necessary evidence to establish the case for Malik Obama’s link to terrorism. I have acquired Israeli intelligence reports, which add more teeth to make the case even stronger. This includes financial evidence. The hyperlinks in this report are essential. They link to monumental details provided from primary sources. These are not simply opinions; they are intelligence and government reports.
Wanted for Questioning: Malik Obama, Mama Sarah Obama, Musa Ismail Obama, and Sayed Obama.
Wanted for Questioning: Malik Obama, Mama Sarah Obama, Musa Ismail Obama, and Sayed Obama.
The report concludes that Malik Obama’s Foundation (BHOF) was incorrectly awarded tax-exempt status along with the Mama Sarah Obama Foundation (MSOF). Evidence points to the disguising of both as charities when in fact they both advance terror causes.
Malik Obama, in his official capacity as Executive Director of the Islamic Dawa Organization (IDO) [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7], is also responsible for “charitable fronts” but in reality these are “used to finance terrorism” by partnering with the Union of Good (UG). Pursuant to Executive Order 13224, the U.S. Treasury has designated Union of Good as “Terrorist front” which acts as an umbrella organization that represents over 50 Islamic fundraising groups worldwide, including IDO and WAMY (World Association of Muslim Youth), which are official members of UG. WAMY is “an extremist Islamic foundation in Saudi Arabi oriented towards Hamas” (see intelligence reports and financial transfers of funds here and here). Malik Obama connects his illegally obtained BHOF and IDO fundraising in his promotional billboards in Kogelo as well as in his partnership with WAMY (see Malik’s meeting with Secretary-General of WAMY Dr. Mohammed Omar Badahdah) [1] [2] [3] [4] Cooperation between these groups happens, in part, via WAMY’s office in Nairobi, Kenya and Badahdah’s financial aid to Hamas.
As we wrote previously, depending on the translation (Organization vs. Association), the IDO can be identified as Munazzamatal-Da’waal-Islamiia. On a promotional board featured on the BHOF website, the IDO is shown partnering with the BHOF on one of the projects:
BHOF and IDO Connected.
BHOF and IDO Connected.
The official website for UG shows IDO is still active. IDO also has a bank account in Al-Shamal bank, where it receives donations. This bank’s initial operations were heavily financed by Osama bin Laden and was even named as a co-defendant in a lawsuit filed by the families of 9/11/01 victims. Al-Hayat even reported that bin Laden owned the bank during his time in Sudan.
This is the tip of the iceberg as to why the UG – with its affiliates (including IDO) – has been designated by U.S. Department of Treasury as “financial fronts” for terrorism (see intelligence report here). On the UG website’s homepage, the two main photos of its two most prominent leaders are #1 president of its organization Yusuf al-Qaradawi (the unwavering supporter for Hezbollah, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist organizations) and the #2 man is none other than Suar al-Dhahab (Malik Obama’s direct supervisor) who represents IDO and works closely with Hamas (see intelligence reports here). Under the UG website’s “Contributing Institutions” page, UG shows that one of the partners is Malik’s IDO. The website even provides the method for donating and lists all the affiliated organizations, including the contact information for Malik’s IDO to direct contributions for Hamas:
UG_Donation_Methods_Hamas
The Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs (#19 on the list) in Israel (see #19 and also here), has investigated UG and concluded that:
“Dozens of foundations that are operated abroad by Hamas, most of which are members of the Union of Good, along with dozens of Hamas charitable associations active in Judea, Samaria and the Gaza Strip, form a well organized and coordinated support network, that includes Hamas’s fundraising arm abroad and the vital civilian and infrastructure networks in Judea, Samaria and the Gaza Strip. In this framework, tens of millions of dollars per annum are transferred from the overseas foundations to Hamas associations in the field.”
Multiple websites that tout fundraising activities include IDO sending charities to Hamas can be found [here] (see section: “IDO donations linked to Hamas”). Suar al-Dhahab is also vice chairman of the The Al-Quds (Jerusalem) International Foundation (JIF), which is also designated by U.S. Treasury under E.O. 13224 as a terror front for Hamas; financial transactions funding Hamas can be seen in intelligence reports (here and here pg.7 lists IDO). In one incident, Malik’s immediate supervisor, Suar al-Dahab raised over $8 million for JIF and in another incident, $1 billion is claimed by one of IDO’s affiliates, adding further to what we previously disclosed. The only projects in Kogelo, Kenya that qualify under a non-profit claimed by BHOF are: land, a well, and a mosque structure. According to Malik, the mosque was donated by “Dr. Muhammad Al-Maneea” from “Saudi Arabia” and “Ali M. Zaghmout” from Qatar; the well came courtesy of “Alislah Society” in Bahrain, which is also a terror front that funds Hamas (see appendix D, #9 from Intelligence reports via INTERPAL).
The U.S. government is authorized to block the assets of organizations and individuals that provide financial support to terrorist organizations. Both BHOF and MSOF are in violation of the Office of Foreign Assets Control (“OFAC”). Therefore, due process should be enforced. According to Reuters, Malik Obama is a U.S. resident who has lived in Washington, D.C. since 1985.
The Reuters report also claims that the BHOF is a…
“…charitable organization (Malik) founded to build houses for women and orphans…”
The BHOF funded the Barack H. Obama Recreation Center and Rest Area in Nyan’oma Kogelo, designated land for a mosque, a mosque structure, and a well. The BHOF raised money by falsely claiming to be a tax-exempt charity.
When chairman of the National Legal and Policy Center filed a complaint with the IRS, not only was it never investigated but Malik was allowed to submit an application (May 23rd, 2011) to the IRS which was met with a 501(c)(3) approval letter that illegally granted the group’s tax-exempt status retroactively, 38 months.
According to National Legal and Policy Center, this constitutes “common law fraud and potentially even federal mail fraud.” MSOF has a similar case, it essentially operates as a non-profit; it uses California Community Foundation (CCF), itself a 501(c)(3) based in Los Angeles, CA. CCF transfers donations marked for MSOF out of the U.S. MSOF’s operations are quite illegal based on Musa Obama’s own admission on Al-Jazeera and by monitoring MSOF’s activities in the Middle East. It operates as a fundraising entity in which 90% of such funds are raised from major U.S. institutions to send Kenyan students to the top 3 most radical Wahhabist madrassas in Saudi Arabia. When he was Secretary of State, Colin Powell testified in 2004 before the House Appropriations Committee that madrassas were breeding grounds for “fundamentalists and terrorists…”
On October 16, 2003, in a memo to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and other top Pentagon officials, then-Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld put forth a similar view. From documented studies, it is concluded that several of president Obama’s family members – including Grand Mother Mama Sarah (MSOF Foundation) including her fundraisers Uncle Sayed (Saeed, Sayid, etc.) Obama and Cousin Musa Ismail Obama, who admitted on al-Jazeera Arabic television, to funding scholarships from Africa to the top Wahhabi madrassas in Saudi Arabia.
Now with Malik Obama’s activities, a clandestine team that funds the promotion of global terrorism appears to be made up of several Obama family members.

There are literally thousands of Assyrian Christian men who have volunteered to joint a militia protecting the Christians in Iraq, and may God bless them in such a holy cause. David William Lazar, California-based chairman of the American Mesopotamian Organization, has stated:
There are thousands of young Assyrian Christian men that have volunteered to join the protection units we’re planning on establishing in the coming weeks and months… Situations like this need political consensus before anything takes place on the ground. While there are hundreds of individuals that are armed with small weapons at this time, the bulk of the force is yet to be organized. Most of our areas in the Nineveh Plain are still under ISIS control and it doesn’t look like the Kurdish militias will be able to remove them without help from the International community.
There is also one great Christian militia called the Syriac Military Council, and its forces consists of Chaldean and Assyrian Christians.
Moreover, there are even some Europeans who have discussed the possibility of having a “fifth crusade” or “a new lepanto,” referring to the Battle of Lepanto of 1571 in which the Christian forces of the Catholic Holy League defeated the Ottoman Turks in what is the greatest naval battle in Christendom’s history.
Forty Christians, all well armed, who are members of the Assyrian Patriotic Party, have gotten so fed up with the persecutions that they have decided to hit hard the forces of ISIS. This militia calls itself Dukha, which means sacrifice, for truly, by fighting for the Faith, are these holy warriors partaking in the sufferings of Christ, warring against the spirits of darkness and contending with the sinister slaves of the devil, as Christ fought Satan on the Cross.
The churches of the Middle East have for decades taught pacifism, taking a misconstruing of the biblical concept of peace and applying it against Christian militancy. But now things are changing. As Henry Sarkis, one of the Christian militants fighting ISIS, has said:
We keep talking about Jesus and peace, and now we’ve reached the point where it’s not enough… The age of waiting for the Peshmerga to take back territory while we sit is over. We took the decision that, with our limited abilities, we will try to participate… We’re being killed in our homes, so why not defend ourselves? Then even if we die, we die with dignity… We didn’t want to reach this point – we just want to live in our areas
This notion of peace as pacifism, I believe, is refuted by Augustine when he wrote:
For peace is not sought in order that war might be undertaken, but a war is undertaken so that peace might be acquired. (Epistle 189)
Farid Yacoub, another Christian militant, made it clear that many Christian men are joining the ranks of the crusade, saying:
We have lots who are volunteering, who want to fight, but we don’t have the means to arm them
Truly these are men who “wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” (Ephesians 6:12)
They do not fight for plunder, nor for the sake of killing flesh and shedding blood, but for the preservation of true religion in the land of the East. Surely, this is a holy war, a spiritual war.
Nehemiah, the prophet, was in a spiritual conflict when he assembled a holy militia to protect those who were building the temple against the vehemence of the heathen, with arms and with spirit, so are these militants protecting the spiritual domain of the Church in the Near East by fighting against mortals who wish to advance the kingdom of Satan.
They are those who say that spiritual battle does not consist of any physical combat, but by affirming such an idea, they turn to the opinion of Gnosticism, which spiritualizes everything. Such is heresy.
Spiritual battle can be fought through physical means, and thus is this illustrated by the Christian militants who contend with the Muslim devils.
Christ fought in the greatest spiritual war of all time, and it was done through physical phenomena: it was fought through nails, through a lance, through a scourge, through a crown of thorns, through a cross.
In Christian holy war, both the physical and the spiritual realms collide, with saintly warriors, bearing the armor of God, and being under the protection of God and His angels, fighting against those who terrorize for diabolical purposes, and the demons who accompany them.
God fought for Israel, not just against the heathen nations, but against their gods. The physical wars Israel partook in against the pagans were temporal battles, occurring in the midst of spiritual battles, between God, the saints and the angels in Heaven, and Satan and his demons. For as the Scriptures proclaim:
And what one nation in the earth is like thy people, even like Israel, whom God went to redeem for a people to himself, and to make him a name, and to do for you great things and terrible, for thy land, before thy people, which thou redeemedst to thee from Egypt, from the nations and their gods? (2 Samuel 7:23)
The Lord goes out before His armies to strike the Philistines, and in the battle, it is David who assails the enemy, striking with the physical sword the heathens in one moment, and in the same moment, striking the demons with the spiritual sword. As we read in the book of the prophet, Samuel:
And the Philistines came up yet again, and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim. And when David inquired of the LORD, he said, Thou shalt not go up; but fetch a compass behind them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees. And let it be, when thou hearest the sound of a going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then thou shalt bestir thyself: for then shall the LORD go out before thee, to smite the host of the Philistines. And David did so, as the LORD had commanded him; and smote the Philistines from Geba until thou come to Gazer. (2 Samuel 5:22-25)
When God struck, so did David strike. For the holy warrior “is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.” (Romans 13:4)
They follow the footsteps of the holy warriors before them, who “waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.” (Hebrews 11:34) These Christian men in Syria and Iraq, they too wax valiant in fight, and are striving to drive out the aliens, that is the heathens of ISIS, from their lands.
They are like “the Hasidim, mighty men of Israel who willingly offered themselves for the Law, every one of them. …And they mustered a host, and smote sinners in their anger, and lawless men in their wrath; and the rest of the Gentiles to save themselves.” (I Maccabees 2:42-45, ellipses mine)
These holy men who have chosen to take up arms against the Muslims, are like the great Mattathias, who took no heed to the demands of the pagans to sacrifice to idols, but instead kindled the fire of his faith, and “killed the king’s officer who had come to enforce the sacrificing, pulled down the altar, and thus showed his zeal for the Law” (I Maccabees 2:24-26)
The same shall it be with the Christian militant: men who take up their cross, fighting alongside the ranks of holy angels and the armies of Heaven, bombarding the bastions of hell so that truth may perpetuate over the darkness.
The holy warriors follow in the footsteps of the most sacred saint, Moses, who, when seeing his fellow Hebrew abused by the heathen Egyptian, struck him dead, as St. Stephen tells us, “seeing one of them suffer wrong, he defended him, and avenged him that was oppressed, and smote the Egyptian” (Acts 7:24).
In all these sacred acts of valor, God fought for His troops; He fought for His armies through their mighty hands, hence Moses says, “the LORD thy God hath delivered them into thine hands” (Deuteronomy 21:10), and David proclaimed in holy song, “He teacheth my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.” (2 Samuel 22:35)
When the Christian fights against evil-doers, he is not a murderer, but in the words of St. Bernard, “if he kills an evil doer, he is not a man-killer, but, if I may put it, an evil-killer.” (In Praise of a New Knighthood, ch. 3) He in fact emulates God, striving against evil and taking up the cross, being amongst the “partakers of the divine nature” (2 Peter 1:4).
That the holy warrior emulates God was, I believe, inferred by Pope Innocent III, when he commenced a most glorious crusade against the heretics, declaring to the warriors of Christendom,
“May you henceforth similarly carry it out: so strike, that you heal; slay, that you may give life, by the example of him who said, I will kill and I will give life; I will strike and I will heal.” [Deuteronomy 32:39)” (Innocent III, Convening the Fourth Council of the Lateran)
When the Christian fighter kills a terrorist, he preserves life by preventing the massacres of the innocent, just as Moses had done when he slew the Egyptian, and thus does he emulate the nature of God, ceaselessly combating the wicked, bearing upon his soul the eternal words, “The fear of the LORD is to hate evil” (Proverbs 8:13).
With the story of the Christian militias in Syria and Iraq, I am reminded of a wonderful event of ancient Christendom, in which more than a hundred thousand German pagans, under the savage Gothic ruler Radagaisus, approached Christian Rome to sack it. Not one Roman solider lost their lives in the fray, and the entire army of pagans submitted to the Christian sword, while Radagaisus and his sons were put to death. (Augustine, City of God, 5.23) St. Paulinus of Nola, one of the great fathers of the Church, wrote a poem on the providential battle:
The enemy and their unholy king alike are slaughtered, and the victory of the boy Augustus has restored peace; though of tender years, his courage in battle emerged triumphant through God’s strength, and he has shattered human resource through Christ’s victory over an impious tyrant. (Poem 21)
The Muslims will in the future attempt to invade Rome, just as these Goths tried, and they will lose, just as these Goths lost.
Let our prayers be as incense to God, asking Him to fight for these Christian fighters, so that they may drive out the aliens and restore peace. Let them be as harvesters, coming home with an immense yield, and if they are to endure temporal defeat, let Heaven be filled with Holy Icons made in the image of the Almighty.
Let the New Crusade begin, let it take place with holy quarrels, with sacred hands shedding heathen blood, and let it end with the earth finally at rest.

Sessions Slams Senate Dems for 'Silence' In Wake of Executive Amnesty

Earnest: Obama Will Act on Immigration Despite Threat...
White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said Wednesday President Barack Obama will act unilaterally on immigration, despite new speculation that Republican lawmakers may shut down the government to block...

Alabama Republican Sen. Jeff Sessions slammed Senate Democrats for failing to push back against President Obama’s plans for executive actions on immigration — especially in light of reports of what the actions will look like.

Recent reports have said that the White House could move to enact unilateral legalization and work authorizations for some 5 million undocumented immigrants and White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest indicated Monday the White House could make an announcement about the executive action at the end of the summer.
“As a result of this executive amnesty, millions here illegally will be able to compete for any job in America—taking jobs needed by American worker,” Sessions said in a Wednesday statement.
We further know that these executive actions will likely also include a massive importation of new foreign workers—on top of the large existing flow—to take even more jobs in the United States,” he added. “The result would be disastrous for struggling workers—coming on the heels of four decades of continued record immigration into the U.S., coinciding with falling wages and a shrinking middle class.”
According to Sessions, a senior member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, the fact that Earnest implied that Obama will be moving forward with the executive actions at the end of summer and the “silence” from Senate Democrats has been “astounding.”
“The second astounding event was silence. The roaring silence from Senate Democrats in the face of a clear and present danger facing their constituents,” he said. “They have refused to support the House-passed legislation to block the President’s executive actions, surrendering the Senate and their citizen constituents to an unconstitutional scheme to nullify America’s sovereign laws and sovereign borders.”
Sessions added that given what immigration law enforcement officials — such as ICE officers’ union head Chris Crane and the union representing USCIS agents Ken Palinkas —  have revealed about the lack enforcement of the law already, more executive actions from Obama would serve to end interior enforcement all together.
“If implemented, the President’s new executive actions would functionally end what little remains of interior immigration enforcement, giving free license to every person in the world—here today or planning to come tomorrow—to violate our immigration laws with impunity,” he said.
“But the citizens of this country retain the ultimate power, as they always have,” he continued. “They will not let this stand. They will demand a Senate vote on the House bill to stop this executive amnesty. And they will hold accountable any and all in Congress who fail to resist the President’s lawless decree.”
